Tottenham Hotspur host Leeds United on Monday evening at 8:00pm. Tottenham vs Leeds follows Spurs’ 2–1 victory over Aston Villa. Although Villa rotated heavily, the result followed a 1–0 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers and an encouraging draw with Brighton & Hove Albion. With Roberto De Zerbi losing just one of his first four matches, Spurs look in a far stronger position to survive under his management. The importance of another positive result will not be lost on the Italian.

Leeds’ recent form has quashed the similar concerns their supporters held earlier in the campaign. A 3–1 victory over Burnley made it three wins in four league matches for Daniel Farke’s side. Unbeaten in six, Farke will be keen to extend that run, which could all but secure their Premier League status.

Tottenham Team News

Spurs have no players suspended.

Tottenham have no fresh injury concerns, however, Guglielmo Vicario remains sidelined after hernia surgery. Asked whether his goalkeeper could return at Thursday’s press conference, Roberto De Zerbi replied: “No, Vicario is not ready yet.”

Likewise, this match may come too soon for Dominic Solanke. De Zerbi said: “He’s improving very quickly. I don’t know for this game. We hope for the next game at Stamford Bridge.”

While James Maddison has returned to the bench in recent weeks, De Zerbi appears to be cautious with the playmaker. The manager explained: “I’m thinking about Maddison, maybe he’s not ready yet to play.”

Xavi Simons, Cristian Romero, Mohamed Kudus, Dejan Kulusevski, Wilson Odobert and Ben Davies are all ruled out.

Leeds Team News

No players are suspended for the visitors.

Leeds will be without in-form Noah Okafor. Assistant manager Edmund Riemer, filling in for Farke, told reporters: “Noah picked up a calf strain so he will miss the next two games. We are hopeful that he will be available for the last game.”

Gabriel Gudmundsson will also be absent. Riemer confirmed: “Gabriel will be out for this week and then we need to assess him on a daily basis so hopefully he can be with us as soon as possible.”

Pascal Struijk may require further assessment, with Riemer explaining: “Pascal is not going to train with us today. He has a hip contusion. He will train individually but we are hopeful that he will be available.”

Ilia Gruev, who sustained a meniscus injury in the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea, is ruled out.
