Tottenham will open their 2025/26 Champions League campaign against Villarreal on Tuesday night.

The visitors finished fifth in La Liga last term, and will be heading into European competition with genuine hope that they could reach the knockout stages with a strong showing.

Tottenham will be playing in the Champions League for the first time in three seasons, and were defeated by AC Milan in the round of 16 on their last attempt at claiming European football’s top prize.

Thomas Frank’s side will be hoping to continue their bright start to the season in continental action, and with that in mind, Tottenham News has rounded up everything that you need to know if you are attending the game.

Tottenham supporters can expect pleasant and dry conditions

Supporters heading to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for Tuesday night’s clash should be mindful of the Autumnal weather that is beginning to set in the UK in the last couple of weeks.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The Met Office is reporting that temperatures of around 16 degrees Celsius can be expected in N17 during the game, although they also add that it could end up feeling more like 14 degrees.

While it is likely to be dry for the duration of the contest, fans who have a lengthy journey to and from the ground should be mindful of the possibility of rain as they head home.

Tickets are still available for Tottenham vs Villarreal

Tickets are still available for Spurs’ return to Champions League action, but any supporters wishing to make a last-minute decision on their attendance should do so now.

There is limited availability in the home sections of the ground, with available seats largely confined to the upper tiers behind both goals.

Sales for the clash have already reached the stage of general sale, meaning that fans without a season ticket and a One Hotspur membership will be able to get their hands on a ticket.

The last few tickets can be snapped up from Spurs’ official website, and it is certainly advisable to do so quickly.

Travel guide for fans

For supporters who have not attended a game at Spurs’ ground before, travelling to and from the match by public transport is more advisable than driving.

Road closures are commonplace in the area around the stadium on matchdays, making the possibility of getting a train or a bus a significantly easier option.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is only around a five-minute walk from Liverpool Street, Enfield Town and Cheshunt stations, and there are several more which provide easy access to the ground on foot.
