Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made an approach to sign Ademola Lookman but made clear he must respond to them by midnight on Sunday.
TEAMtalk reports that Sours have made "new contact" as they plot a potential deal for Lookman, who wants to leave Atalanta. The Lilywhites intend to back Thomas Frank with one more "explosive" attacker following the arrivals of Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig and Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United.
Lookman looked set to join Inter Milan earlier in the window, but Atalanta rejected the Nerazzurri's offer, much to the dismay of the Nigerian. He released a statement requesting permission to leave Gewiss Stadium, where he has spent three years.
Tottenham Give Lookman Decision Deadline
Tottenham aren't the only ones interested in signing Lookman, as he has received plenty of interest from around Europe. Bayern Munich have joined the race seemingly because Chelsea have pulled the plug on their loan deal for Nicolas Jackson.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed in his GIVEMESPORT newsletter that Lookman was on Spurs' radar even while they were working on a deal for Simons. The original reports state that the North Londoners have now "revisited Atalanta to discuss more details".
Spurs have given the Nigeria international a deadline because they have alternatives in mind, including West Ham's Lucas Paqueta and Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers. Manchester City's Savinho has been a top target, but the Cityzens aren't prepared to part ways with the Brazilian.
GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Ademola Lookman has scored 52 goals in 118 games for Atalanta.
Lookman, once dubbed "unstoppable", has been one of Italian football's top attackers in recent years and was crucial to Atalanta's Europa League triumph in 2024. He scored a hat-trick in the competition's final to defeat an unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen side.
The 27-year-old has Premier League experience under his belt, having previously spent time at Fulham, Everton, and Leicester City. He failed to reach expectations at either club before exploding into a "world-class" talent in Serie A.
