Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on an exciting winger from the Brazilian top flight as the transfer window fast approaches.

Roberto De Zerbi will be focused on keeping Spurs in the Premier League at the moment, with the threat of relegation still looming large over the North London club.

However, reports indicate that preparations for the summer window have already begun at Spurs, as the Lilywhites look to give the Italian the tools he needs to get the club back up towards the top end of the table.

Having secured the services of Souza from Santos in January, it has now emerged that Tottenham are planning to poach another young starlet from the Brazilian top-flight.

Tottenham battling Fulham for Lucas Ronier

Sport Witness have now revealed that Spurs are closely monitoring Coritiba winger Lucas Ronier, who is establishing a reputation as one of the best young attackers in Brazil.

The 21-year-old, who is known for his dribbling and ability to beat players, could be on the move this summer, with Tottenham attracted by the youngster’s tactical flexibility.

However, they are not the only Premier League side on Ronier’s trail, with Fulham also fans of the player, who has three goals and three assists in 22 appearances this year.

The report says that the two London clubs are watching the winger closely as the summer transfer window approaches, and suggests that other English clubs could also enter the race.

Is Ronier expected to be on the move this summer?

Sport Witness claims that Coritiba have already rejected an offer from Saudi Arabia for their academy graduate, with the player prioritising a move to Europe.

With Ronier’s current deal running until 2027, the Brazilian club believe that he can be their record sale, but the website does not reveal what their valuation of the winger is.

Finally, the report adds that neither Spurs nor Fulham have begun formal negotiations with Coritiba yet, as they continue to pay ‘close attention’ to the 21-year-old’s situation.
