Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign the Celtic attacker, Benjamin Nygren.

The 24-year-old can operate on the flanks as well as an attacking midfielder. He could help create opportunities for his teammates and find the back of the net as well.

Benjamin Nygren is at his peak

The Swedish winger has had an impressive season in Scotland, and he was chosen as Celtic’s player of the year. Tottenham and Aston Villa have been monitoring his progress, and they could look to make a move in the summer.

According to reports via CaughtOffside, Celtic would be prepared to sanction his departure for the right price. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham get the deal done.

They need more quality on the flanks. They were overly dependent on Mohammed Kudus before his injury blow, and they need someone who can score goals consistently from the wide areas and create opportunities as well. The 24-year-old could be the ideal fit. He has shown his quality in Scotland, and he has the technical attributes for English football as well.

Nygren could fancy Spurs move

Joining Tottenham could be an exciting prospect for him. It would be a step up in his career, and he will be able to test himself against top-class defenders in the Premier League.

Even though it has been a disappointing season for Tottenham, they are among the biggest clubs in the country. They have an ambitious project, and the 24-year-old will feel that they can bounce back strongly next season. Convincing him to join the club is unlikely to be difficult.

Also, Tottenham have brought a quality manager like Roberto De Zerbi, and working with the Italian will be an exciting proposition for the player.

Nygren has found the back of the net 20 times in all competitions this season. He is a consistent goalscorer, and he has produced 8 assists as well. Tottenham would do well to secure his signature. Nygren has been hailed as a “great player” by his compatriot and Arsenal star Viktor Gyokeres.
