Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a deal to sign Anderlecht star Keisuke Goto to bolster their forward line for next season, according to SportsBoom.

The Lilywhites have had a terrible campaign so far and currently sit just five points above the relegation zone, which has seen them sack manager Thomas Frank and replace him with Igor Tudor until the end of the season, with the Croatian looking to earn a permanent role between now and the end of the season.

But while their status as a Premier League club isn't completely secure, Spurs are planning ahead for the summer transfer window already and have identified a young forward as a potential candidate.

Tottenham Eyeing Move for Super Talent

Goto has been a breakout star in the 2025/26 season, with the 20-year-old Japanese striker taking the Belgian Jupiler Pro League by storm, leading the way in their goalscoring charts for Sint-Truidense, after joining on loan from Anderlecht last summer.

Those performances have seen him attract the attention of several clubs across Europe, and Tottenham are among the sides who have taken a close look at him in recent times.

Goto has a contract that runs until 2028 with Anderlecht after they signed him on a three-year deal for just €1m, but they are now open to a mega sale to earn a big profit, and they have put an asking price of between €15-20m (£13-17.4m) on his head.

Goto The Record-Breaker

Standing at 1.91m tall (6ft 2), the talented striker is a well-rounded striker and this season showed his quality by becoming the youngest Japanese player in history to reach double figures for goals in a major European league in a single season.

Any move to England is expected to see Goto earn a pay rise, and Spurs believe that his high potential and physical attributes would make him a great addition to their squad. The club are in the market for a versatile and mobile striker, and his performances and relatively low asking price could see him climb up their shortlist.

GIVEMESPORT asked ChatGPT what Goto would bring to the north London club if he signed, and for a breakdown of his style of play, and this was its response:
