Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Colombian attacker Jhon Arias during the summer window.

According to reports from Fichajes, they are hoping to sign the 27-year-old Fluminense star.

Arias has done quite well for his club in the FIFA Club World Cup, and his performances have attracted the attention of top clubs.

Jhon Arias would improve Spurs

The South American attacker is capable of operating across the front three, and he has 17 goal contributions this season.

He could prove to be an excellent acquisition for Tottenham. They need more depth in the final third, and the 27-year-old is at the peak of his career. He could make an instant impact. The opportunity to move to the Premier League could be quite exciting for him as well.

Brazilian legend Kaka has described him as an “extremely dangerous player”. He has been outstanding in the Club World Cup, and he has the physical and technical attributes to do well in English football as well. If Tottenham can sign him for a reasonable amount of money, the deal could look like a masterstroke.

They are already closing in on the capture of Mohammed Kudus, and signing Arias could complete their attacking unit for the foreseeable future.

Spurs move could be ideal for the player

Thomas Frank did well to get the best out of his players at Brentford, and he could bring out the best in Arias and Kudus as well.

Tottenham need to improve their attacking unit if they want to his next season. They will look to do well in the league as well. They finished in the bottom half of the Premier League table last season.

Arias will look to make his mark in English football if the transfer goes through. He is a quality player, and he will look to demonstrate his ability at the highest level.
