Kyle Walker-Peters has just made an interesting admission about his relationship with Tottenham Hotspur striker Dominic Solanke amid reports linking the full-back with a return to Spurs this summer.
Tottenham are expected to make a move for Kyle Walker-Peters later in the transfer window, according to Alasdair Gold.
The full-back is currently a free agent after his contract with Southampton ran out, and Gold revealed that the Lilywhites are facing competition from the likes of Everton and Wolves for the 28-year-old.
The England international’s latest social media post suggests that there is one factor which could give Tottenham Hotspur an advantage in the transfer race.
Kyle Walker-Peters refers to Dominic Solanke as his ‘family’
Tottenham hold a special place in Walker-Peters’ heart, with the youngster having come through the ranks of the Hotspur Way academy before breaking into the first team in 2017 under Mauricio Pochettino.
However, it turns out that there is one other factor that could potentially attract him back to North London: his close relationship with Dominic Solanke.
Walker-Peters has taken to Instagram stories to react to Solanke’s wedding celebrations, captioning his story: “My family!” with a white heart emoji. It was also revealed on TikTok that Walker-Peters was actually Solanke’s best man on the day.

Tottenham may be hoping that agent Solanke might help convince the young defender to return to Hotspur Way, although it remains to be seen if the full-back would accept a bit-part role back at N17.
Why it makes perfect sense for Tottenham to sign Walker-Peters
Some Spurs fans are not enthusiastic about signing Walker-Peters, feeling that the move signals a lack of ambition from the Tottenham hierarchy.
However, many outlets have pointed out that Tottenham are woefully short of homegrown and club-trained players, especially for European competitions, where rules are stricter than in the Premier League.
Landing Walker-Peters would thus ensure that they do not have to leave players out of the Champions League squad and would enable Spurs to make more signings in key areas of the pitch this summer.
