Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a formal move to sign Brentford striker Yoane Wissa for Thomas Frank, according to TEAMtalk.

The north London outfit are looking to reshape their squad for the new season under their new manager, after he replaced Ange Postecoglou despite the latter winning the Europa League and helping the club qualify for the Champions League.

Big changes are expected in the summer window and the club are eyeing potential reinforcements up front, with Frank keen on a reunion with a Brentford star.

Tottenham Eyeing Wissa Deal

Brentford don't want to lose him

Frank is coming into north London with big expectations following his excellent performances while in charge of the Bees, and he is now keen to bring in a familiar face to join his squad and help get his ideas across.

Wissa, who has been described as 'unbelievable', easily replaced Ivan Toney as Brentford's main man during the 2024/25 season and scored 19 goals in the Premier League, becoming the club's all-time top scorer in the division in the process.

As a result the west London club are keen to tie him down to a new long-term contract, but Tottenham are hopeful of being able to take him across the city to compete with Dominic Solanke as the number nine in the system.

Tottenham have already reportedly made an offer to sign Wissa's Brentford teammate Bryan Mbeumo, but he prefers a move to Manchester United and it's unclear if they would be able to convince him to change his mind.

Spurs have also been linked with a move for central defender Nathan Collins, who Frank is known to rate very highly, but it seems that the attack is more of a priority as things stand.

The club have already held internal talks about a move for Wissa and they are now considering making a formal offer, with Brentford believed to be holding out for at least £40m to let the 28-year-old leave.
