Tottenham are willing to part with Bryan Gil this summer as it becomes clear that his move to London has failed.

The Spaniard joined Spurs in 2021 but has failed to make any sort of impact at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The 24-year-old has since been sent out on a series of loans, including a move to Girona last season.

Now, there is an expectation that Gil will be sold by Tottenham this summer, with the winger only having one year left on his contract.

Sevilla plan to only pay up to £5.1 million for Gil

Sevilla have previously shown interest in Tottenham’s Gil.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The winger spent the latter half of the 2022/23 campaign on loan to the Spanish club, where he helped them win the Europa League.

Now, according to OB (26 June), Sevilla are now planning on making a move for the 24-year-old this summer on a permanent deal.

Tottenham are hoping to receive £15million for Gil. However, the Spanish club are not prepared to meet these demands.

Instead, it’s claimed that Sevilla will only pay up to £5.1m for the winger, and only if they can facilitate departures first.

Gil wants to move to Sevilla, but other teams also remain in the race, including Olympiacos, Villarreal, Valencia and Girona.

However, Tottenham simply cannot accept Sevilla’s offer if it comes through.

To consider submitting a bid that is around 33 per cent of the asking price is insulting, and it is clear that the Spanish side are trying to rip Spurs off.

If Tottenham value Gil at £15m, then the London club should hold out for this sum.

Tottenham must stick to their guns in the transfer window

As the window rages on, Tottenham must ensure that they do not waver on their transfer demands.

With PSR becoming a growing concern in the Premier League, every penny that is brought into the London club can make a difference.

The extra £10m that can be made from the Gil transfer could allow Tottenham to bring in a top-quality player that they wouldn’t have been able to get otherwise.

Hopefully, Spurs will reap the rewards of sticking to their guns and get £15m for Gil later in the window.
