A Europa League club may not be able to stop their star midfielder from completing a move to Tottenham Hotspur in January.
According to reports, discussions are ongoing at Spurs about adding another central midfielder to their squad in January.
This comes at a time when Tottenham have reportedly decided to cash in on Yves Bissouma after the Mali international’s latest transgression.
It emerged back in October that Spurs are considering making a move for Rangers star Nicolas Raskin in January, and the Lilywhites’ interest is thought to be causing some concerns at Ibrox.
Rangers may not be able to reject Tottenham offer for Nicolas Raskin
Football Insider have now claimed that Spurs are indeed a possible suitor for the Belgian international, with the Lilywhites thought to have been impressed by his performances at both club and international level.
The outlet claims that Raskin is a ‘huge important figure’ at Rangers and is a key part of Danny Rohl’s plans.
However, the Scottish club ‘would likely succumb’ if a significant offer arrives for the midfielder from North London.

While Rangers are ‘extremely reluctant’ to lose Raskin in the middle of the season, they could be left with no choice if Spurs firm up their interest in the player with a concrete offer.
A deal for Raskin may be easier to do for Spurs next summer
Other sources have reported over recent weeks that the Lilywhites could face competition for the 24-year-old from across Europe.
This includes an update by Pete O’Rourke, who asserted that Rangers would be more willing to sell the Tottenham target next summer.
O’Rourke explained that the Glasgow giants are hopeful that Raskin’s value will continue to rise over the coming months if he maintains his current run of form.
