Tottenham Hotspur’s fight for survival has taken another twist, with Nottingham Forest’s 4-1 win over Burnley piling pressure on their final run of fixtures, and we have now compared Spurs’ Premier League run-in with their relegation rivals.

Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-2 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion was not enough to see them leapfrog out of the bottom three this gameweek, despite having played a game more than West Ham United, who play tonight.

A victory in the Hammers’ clash against Crystal Palace will see Spurs go four points adrift of safety with just five games to go.

However, safety is still very much possible for Tottenham, who must secure at least nine more points from their final 15, with such a feat more or less guaranteeing their survival.

Still, it is not entirely in Tottenham’s hands, as they will need their relegation rivals, Nottingham Forest and West Ham, to drop more points than them in the Premier League run-in.

Unfortunately for Spurs, in the last two weeks, Forest have managed to pick up more points than they have, drawing when Tottenham lost last weekend and winning this weekend when Spurs drew.

Forest’s win against Burnley has now seen their chances of getting relegated drop significantly as they push to stay safe.
