New Tottenham star was once hailed as ‘one of the best in Europe’ by ex-Arsenal man
Tottenham finished the transfer window with a total of eight new signings added to their squad.
The Lilywhites got the overhaul that they desperately needed after a dismal Premier League campaign last term, and there is now hope that they can push their way up the table this time around.
Daniel Levy has backed Thomas Frank with several expensive new additions, and the emphasis will now be on the new boss to get them all performing as quickly as possible.
Optimism is high at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the moment, and Spurs fans will be delighted to see that a former Arsenal hero has praised one of their new stars.
Mateo Guendouzi called Randal Kolo Muani ‘one of the best in Europe’
Randal Kolo Muani’s arrival at Tottenham on deadline day is a hugely exciting addition for the North Londoners.
MORE SPURS STORIES
The Frenchman has seen his career stutter since his £77million move to PSG back in 2023, but he looked to be back to his best during a brief loan stint with Juventus last term.
The forward hit eight goals from just 16 Serie A outings for the Old Lady, in what was a return to the electrifying form that he displayed at Eintracht Frankfurt previously.
Kolo Muani has the potential to become a vital part of Frank’s side during his season-long stay in N17, and Premier League defences will undoubtedly be scared to go up against the 26-year-old.
Spurs fans have every right to be excited about their new man, and comments made by a previous Arsenal star will only serve to fuel that even further.
Matteo Guendouzi turned out 82 times for Tottenham’s bitter rivals between 2018 and 2020, and he previously heaped praise on his France teammate back in 2024, while he was struggling at PSG.
“A confident Randal is one of the best attackers in Europe,” he told Telefoot, his comments relayed by Le 10 Sport.
“I hope he will have much more playing time, because he will help them (PSG) a lot more.
“He’s a top player and a top guy with a great mentality.”
Randal Kolo Muani could take Tottenham to the next level
Richarlison has made a bright start for Tottenham so far this season, but he is ultimately not at the level required to help them become a Champions League team and a side that can regularly challenge for trophies.
If Kolo Muani can hit the ground running in the Premier League, then Spurs will have a genuine top-quality striker at their disposal, who would get into the majority of teams in the league.
The fact that the deal is only a loan agreement at the moment is somewhat frustrating for the North Londoners, who would surely have jumped at the chance to sign such an exciting player on a permanent deal.
However, they simply have to close the gap between themselves and the top four this season, and Kolo Muani should be invaluable to help them do that.
