Man Utd eye Wharton
Manchester United are keeping tabs on Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton.
According to talkSPORT, United are weighing up a move for Wharton before the summer transfer window slams shut on September 1.
Man Utd have so far been rebuffed in their advances for Brighton star Carlos Baleba.
The Red Devils could alternatively turn to Wharton, although a deal would not be easy to do.
Leandro Trossard enquiry
Brentford are keeping tabs on Arsenal ace Leandro Trossard during the latter stages of the summer transfer window.
According to GiveMeSport, the Bees have enquired about Trossard ahead of transfer deadline day on September 1.
The same report claims the West Londoners are unlikely to advance at this stage.
The winger has only one year left on his contract at the Emirates and has attracted interest with the possibility of a departure gaining steam.
Hojlund’s new suitor
Manchester United flop Rasmus Hojlund has attracted huge interest from Napoli after Romelu Lukaku was ruled out for three months.
The Partenopei have asked about a loan deal for Hojlund, who is admired by manager Antonio Conte.
United are believed to be asking for £40million for the striker, but they could entertain a loan under the right conditions.
The reigning Serie A champions are now considering making a move for the Denmark international after Lukaku limped off the pitch during a pre-season friendly against Olympiacos last week.
Ex-Man Utd ace Lukaku is expected to be sidelined for three months after tearing a muscle in his thigh.
Yoane Wissa reminder
Brentford star Yoane Wissa has removed all reference to the club from his Instagram as he pushes for a move to Newcastle.
Wissa was left out of the Bees's squad for their Premier League opener at Nottingham Forest on Sunday after he made it clear he wants to leave.
Now the striker has doubled down and deleted all of his Brentford-related posts on social media.
And the Congo international has changed his Instagram profile picture to a black circle.
The 28-year-old has just 12 months remaining on his deal but Brentford have rejected a £30million offer from Newcastle.
SunSport understands they are refusing to let the centre-forward leave until they have signed a replacement and are demanding £60m.
Vardy wants Celtic - EXCLUSIVE
Jamie Vardy has his “heart set” on a move to Celtic and an emotional reunion with Brendan Rodgers as he targets playing on until he is 40 - reports SunSport's Henry Tomlinson.
SunSport can reveal Vardy is “desperate” to complete a move to Scotland before the summer transfer window slams shut.
And although Rodgers is keen to add the Leicester legend to his squad he faces a battle to secure his signature.
That’s because West Ham, Brentford and Wrexham are all still tracking the striker as they look to bolster their own frontlines.
The 38-year-old has been searching for a new club all summer and has been keeping himself fit with a personal trainer.
Sources close to the ex-England international say he is ready to play, and still believes he can compete at the highest level for one or maybe two seasons.
It means Vardy could still be playing top level football until he’s 40, like Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic did.
Garnacho Chelsea move halted
Chelsea's pursuit of Manchester United ace Alejandro Garnacho has been stalled by the Blues' steep valuation of Christopher Nkunku.
The West Londoners have rejected a loan bid from Bayern Munich for Nkunku preferring a £50million sale to raise the funds to buy Garnacho for the same price.
United are braced for an offer from Chelsea for Garnacho but are determined not to let him leave on the cheap.
The Red Devils want at least £50m for the 21-year-old, who has been left out of Argentina's upcoming South American World Cup qualifiers.
It’s understood the winger only wants Chelsea, which is the main reason why he is still at Carrington nearly three months after boss Ruben Amorim told him to find a new club.
The relationship between the two sides has completely broken down and on Sunday a mural of Garnacho close to Old Trafford was defaced by fans.
Savinho transfer price
Manchester City have revealed Savinho's price tag amid Tottenham's interest.
According to transfer insider Jorge Nicola, the winger will cost £69million.
City have already rejected an opening offer from Spurs worth £43m.
A deal could be reached if a bid closer to the Brazil international's asking price is tabled with add-ons.
Man City, though, are not desperate to sell with the 21-year-old having a contract until 2029.
Bournemouth sign Liverpool ace
Bournemouth have signed Liverpool ace Ben Doak following a £25million deal.
Doak has agreed a five-year contract with the Cherries and the Reds included a buy-back option.
Bournemouth faced competition from other Premier League clubs, while Porto also made a bid for the 19-year-old winger.
Another Alexander Isak absence
Newcastle star Alexander Isak is not expected to attend Tuesday's PFA awards gala.
That is amid the uncertainty surrounding Isak's future as he strongly pursues a move to Liverpool before the summer transfer window slams shut on September 1.
According to the BBC, the striker is set to miss the ceremony at the Manchester Opera House despite being nominated for the main award.
The Sweden international has not played for the Magpies since the end of last season and has been training away from the rest of Eddie Howe's squad.
Newcastle prepare improved Wissa bid - EXCLUSIVE
Newcastle will launch an improved £35million bid for Brentford star Yoane Wissa after already having a £30m bid rejected.
The Magpies thought they would get Wissa after their Premier League foes signed Dango Ouattara but he turned out to be a replacement for Bryan Mbeumo.
Brentford are continuing to hunt for a new centre-forward and SunSport understands they will not sanction Wissa’s exit until they get their man.
And, in more bad news for the Toon, it is believed the Bees are not close to finding a new main striker.
They were interested in Arnaud Kalimuendo but he opted for Nottingham Forest instead.
Wissa, meanwhile, remains desperate to complete a move to Tyneside so he can realise his Champions League dream and was left out of the Bees' 3-1 defeat to Forest on Sunday.
Palace eye Eze replacements - EXCLUSIVE
Crystal Palace have already identified a potential replacement for Eberechi Eze amid Tottenham's intense interest, reports SunSport's Kostas Lianos.
SunSport understand Palace are keeping tabs on Wolves star Hwang Hee-chan.
The Eagles are considering a season-long loan deal for Hwang ahead of transfer deadline day.
Oliver Glasner's side are also chasing Leicester star Bilal El Khannouss after his team's relegation to the Championship.
While Club Brugge star Christos Tzolis is a target following an impressive season in Belgium.
Reports suggest Palace offered £26million for Tzolis but Brugge turned them down.
More on Romero's new deal
Cristian Romero has followed up becoming Tottenham’s new captain by signing a new deal with the club.
The World Cup winner, 27, has penned fresh terms until 2029.
It is quite the turnaround since just a few months ago when Romero said in April that he “would love “ to play in La Liga.
Atletico Madrid were very keen to sign the influential centre-back but were unable to strike a deal.
Romero has since been given the armband by Thomas Frank following previous skipper Son Heung-min’s departure to LAFC.
And the Argentine has now committed his future to the club by putting pen to paper for another four years.
Spurs hope to seal a new deal for Rodrigo Bentancur - a close mate of Romero’s in the Tottenham dressing room - as well, with the Uruguayan’s current terms expiring at the end of the season.
The North Londoners are in negotiations with Crystal Palace over the blockbuster signing of Eberechi Eze, but are yet to come to an agreement.
It is believed the payment structure over a possible deal is the sticking point.
Napoli join Hojlund race
Italian champions Napoli have joined the hunt for Man Utd striker Rasmus Hojlund.
Reports from talkSPORT claim Gli Azzurri are interested in the £40million rated Dane as Man Utd look to move him on.
Last year’s Scudetto winners are looking for a replacement for starting striker Romelu Lukaku after an injury ruled him out for at least the first three months of the season.
A loan deal is a possibility if Man Utd’s valuation is not met, but Hojlund is one of many names that the club would prefer to move on permanently this window.
Romero signs Spurs extension
Cristian Romero has signed a contract extension with Tottenham Hotspur.
Romero arrived at the club from Italian outfit Atalanta in 2021 and has been a mainstay in the starting line-up ever since.
The Argentinian international was named club captain ahead of the season's start, and has now put pen to paper on a new long-term deal.
His captaincy with the club got off to a rough start when Spurs blew a two-goal lead to lose the Super Cup to PSG on penalties last week.
But their Premier League campaign got off to a better start, thumping newly-promoted Burnley 3-0 on opening weekend.
El Khannouss pushes for Palace
Leicester midfielder Bilal El Khannouss has told the club he would like to move to Crystal Palace.
Reports from talkSPORT claim the Eagles are exploring a move for the Moroccan.
He is viewed as a replacement for Eberechi Eze as he nears a move to Spurs worth in the region of £55million.
Leicester value the 21-year-old at around £30million.
AC Milan chief confirms Hojlund interest
AC Milan director Igli Tare confirmed the club’s interest in Man Utd target Rasmus Hojlund.
The Dane has been told he is surplus to requirements after a busy summer window, and the club are looking to facilitate a move away for the striker.
Now it has been confirmed that the Italian are one interested party.
Tare told SportMediaset: “Hojlund is a good option for us.
“We are thinking about him, but in the transfer market, you never know what could happen.”
Yoane Wissa wipes social media
Newcastle target Yoane Wissa has removed any mention of Brentford from his social media.
The measures include wiping their name from his bio and removing any pictures featuring him playing for the club.
He has also unfollowed the club and set his profile picture to a blank black screen.
These are the latest efforts from the DR Congo international to force a move to the Magpies, whoa re in talks with the Bees over a fee for the forward.
Brentford reportedly want £50-60million for the 28-year-old, but Newcastle will have to drag that number down a fair way before they would consider sanctioning the move.
Birmingham interested in former Arsenal star
Birmingham City are interested in the signature of Alexander Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to reports from Sky Sports.
The 32-year-old plays his football for Turkish giants Besiktas, who are reportedly willing to allow the former England international to move on a free transfer.
He came through the Southampton academy and had long spells with Arsenal and Liverpool before moving abroad.
He would join an ambitious Championship project helmed by Americans Tom Wagner and Tom Brady.
Birmingham have also added former Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi and ex-wonderkid Demarai Gray to their squad this summer.
Man City youngster gets championship loan
Man City teenager Sverre Nypan is set to join Middlesbrough on loan in the championship.
The 18-year-old joined City in July as a highly rated talent from Rosenborg.
The Norwegian midfielder will now join Boro for the upcoming season as they battle for promotion from the championship.
They have form for loaning teenage Premier League talents, with Liverpool winger Ben Doak spending the previous season there ahead of his imminent move to Bournemouth.
Villa join hunt for Chelsea star
Aston Villa have added Nicolas Jackson to their list of attacking targets.
Florian Plettenberg reports that talks between the clubs have taken place regarding a deal for the Senegal international.
The 24-year-old is considered surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge following the summer signings of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.
He has been linked to several clubs this window, including Newcastle United and Bayern Munich.
Jose Mourinho interested in Prem star
Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce have made an approach for West Ham star Edson Alvarez.
Contact was made over a deal for the Mexican midfielder, who is wanted by at least two other European clubs according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 27-year-old is yet to make a decision on his future, and has also been linked with a return to Ajax, where West Ham bought him from in 2023.
Sunderland make centre-back approach
Sunderland are dipping into the transfer market again as they make contact with Italian club Bologna over a move for Jhon Lucumi.
The Black cats have submitted a formal bid for the Colombian according to Fabrizio Romano.
Lucumi would be the newly promoted sides THIRTEENTH signing of the window.
The 27-year-old is still part of the club's plans and Bologna have no intention of allowing him to leave.
Sancho stalls Roma
Jadon Sancho has not accepted a proposal from AS Roma for a permanent move to Serie A.
Man Utd were happy with the Italian outfit’s £20million offer as they look to move Sancho on before the close of the window.
But, according to Fabrizio Romano, Sancho has not agreed personal terms with the club.
Besiktas are also keen on the player, but Sancho is holding out for a move elsewhere before considering their proposals.
Spurs close in on Eze deal
Arsenal are set to lose out to their North London rivals for the signature of Eberechi Eze.
Chairmen Daniel Levy and Steve Parish are in contact today regarding a deal for the attacker, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Spurs are reportedly offering £55million and another £5million in add-ons for the England international.
The 27-year-old is said to have informed Palace of his desire to join the club.
