Troy Deeney has heaped praise on one Nottingham Forest player after the Reds stunned Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League’s relegation six-pointer.
Forest needed three points badly and goals from Igor Jesus, Morgan Gibbs-White and Taiwo Awoniyi gave the Reds a first win in seven matches and plunged Tottenham into crisis.
How did YOU rate Neco Williams’ performance for Nottingham Forest against Tottenham?
It was a solid team performance from everyone who wore the Garibaldi at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and after the game, Troy Deeney singled out Neco Williams for praise from a Forest perspective.

Williams reacted to his Man of the Match award after the game and this was a very welcome return to form for the Welsh defender.
The talented performer turned into a goal provider for the afternoon, teeing up Jesus for the first goal and Awoniyi for the third.
Deeney was impressed with the player and named him in the BBC Sport Team of the Week for the latest round of Premier League matches.
The former Premier League striker said: “It was a huge crunch game for Forest as they travelled to Tottenham, with Premier League status on the line for both sides.

“And Williams put in a massive performance to help his side get a crucial victory in the relegation fight. He bagged two assists, delivering when it mattered most.”
Williams’ return to form is a timely one, and after helping Forest reach the last eight of the Europa League, he looked revitalised and ready to get back to his best form against Tottenham.
In recent weeks, Williams has been tasked with playing a lot of football and that has ultimately led to him looking somewhat fatigued.
As Deeney rightly suggests, however, he looked firmly back to his best against Tottenham and now the hope will be that Williams is equally energetic for the remaining seven games of the season.
