Two big changes as Eddie Howe tweaks his winning side - Our predicted lineup for NUFC to face Tottenham Hotspur

As the saying goes, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it', and Eddie Howe would do well to heed that saying when he picks his Newcastle United side to take on Tottenham Hotspur live on Sky Sports on Tuesday night. Kick-off at 8:15pm.

Newcastle were fantastic on Saturday as they beat Everton 4-1 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but we still expect the Newcastle boss to change a couple of people around.

Howe has spoken about the need to rotate his side, and he's started to do that lately. And because of this, we think he'll make two changes to the lineup for Tuesday.

Having said that, we're not 100% confident on this, because in our heads it would be foolish to change anything. But here we go.

Goalkeeper

Aaron Ramsdale - Mystery injury or not, Ramsdale should keep his place over Nick Pope. He was barely tested on Saturday.

Defenders

Tino Livramento - There's obviously a concern he's being asked to do too much, having just come back from injury, but he's not looking in any way affected by it.

Malick Thiaw - Probably the first name on the teamsheet these days. Absolutely outstanding player, and now he's adding goals to his game? Come on!

Dan Burn - Looked so much happier back in his preferred role as left-sided centre-back on Saturday and worked well alongside Thiaw.

Lewis Hall - Similar to Livramento, we are worried about his post-injury workload, but he's just so bloody good that it's crazy not to have him in the side.

Midfielders

Bruno Guimaraes (c) - Captain Bruno. He's not going to be dropped, is he?

Sandro Tonali - Tonali sat out the win on Saturday, coming on as a time-wasting sub at the death. We can't see him being made to miss two games, but it's going to be tough to justify dropping Lewis Miley, which is why we're not 100% convinced by this one.

Joelinton - Big Joey could be dropped as a way of keeping Lewis Miley in the side. However, we're going with the traditional trio.

Forwards

Anthony Elanga - He's earned a second consecutive start. He looked much better on Saturday.

Nick Woltemade - His time to rest is soon, with Yoane Wissa nearing a return, but it won't be on Tuesday.

Anthony Gordon - Harvey Barnes didn't score on Saturday, and we feel that's all Eddie Howe will need to reinstate his golden boy.

We're nervous that Howe might sacrifice Woltemade for Gordon and keep Barnes on the left, but we really hope that's not the case.

Again, ideally, we'd leave everything as it was, but that might also be too predictable. We love it when these aren't as straightforward to do as they used to be.
