The midfielder has been in superb form for our Under-21s since the beginning of the campaign.
He scored one and assisted two in our 3-1 win at Derby County on 11 September, then helped us to an impressive 4-2 home victory over Manchester City the following week.
The 21-year-old scored in our first three consecutive Premier League 2 games of the season, a run stretching back into August.
Also in contention for this month’s award are Will Wright from Liverpool, Cruz Ibeh of Middlesbrough, Leeds United’s Harvey Vincent, Charlie Dinsdale of Sunderland and the Chelsea trio of Chizaram Ezenwata, Reggie Watson and former Spur Leo Black.
The nominees were selected by the Premier League Football Development Panel, who will also decide the winner.
