Tottenham starlet Mikey Moore is expected to stay at the club and extend his contract this summer, journalist Ben Jacobs has revealed.
The 17-year-old has enjoyed a breakout year under Ange Postecoglou, and Spurs are now keen to reward him with improved terms amid growing interest from European clubs.
Borussia Dortmund were rumoured to be interested in the talented winger last month, but Jacobs claims Moore is not looking to depart and is ‘very happy’ in North London.
Tottenham also rate Moore ‘extremely highly’ and are believed to be in advanced talks over an extension, with his current deal set to expire in June 2027.
Mikey Moore Expected to Stay at Spurs
The 17-year-old in talks over a contract extension
Jacobs, speaking on Last Word on Spurs, revealed that Tottenham are keen to reward Moore with a new contract amid his breakthrough season with the Europa League winners:
“Yeah, Mikey Moore will stay and extend, and that's my understanding. I don't know exactly when it's going to be done, but talks have been very positive and can be referred to as advanced.
“And obviously we know Tottenham rate Mikey Moore extremely highly, so that one should be very smooth.
“I don't think the player would be looking elsewhere anyway, very happy at Tottenham, regardless of the Ange situation.”
Moore, who made his first-team debut in May 2024, enjoyed regular senior opportunities this term, making 19 appearances across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
The 17-year-old winger, who signed a three-year contract with Spurs in August last year, has made three starts in the Premier League and seven further appearances off the bench.
Tottenham are likely to resolve Postecoglou’s future before pursuing any new signings, as the Australian remains uncertain to continue next season despite ending the club’s 17-year wait for a trophy.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are still evaluating their options internally before making a decision on Postecoglou, which is now expected to arrive ‘very soon’.
