Lucas Moura posted a video of his reaction to the final whistle being blown at Bilbao on Wednesday, with the Tottenham fan favourite reacting just like the millions of Spurs fans around the world.

Many top players and managers have been through the gates of Hotspur Way (and the Spurs Lodge before it) since 2008, but none of them have managed to achieve what the current Tottenham squad has.

Ange Postecoglou and his Spurs team have secured their place in the club’s history by beating Man United in the Europa League final at San Mames, and reactions have been pouring in from many of the club’s former players.

Harry Kane was one of the first to congratulate Tottenham on the cup win and the club’s record goalscorer was soon followed by Mauricio Pochettino, who expressed his delight at Spurs’ achievement in Bilbao.

Moura has been a fan favourite among the Spurs faithful from the day he stepped foot at the club in 2018, mainly because of the way he wore his heart on his sleeve.

The Brazilian left the club two years ago, but he has seemingly never lost his love for the Lilywhites, as demonstrated by his reaction to the final whistle at Bilbao.

Moura, who was watching the Europa League final in a full Tottenham kit, has shared a video of his reaction during the moment when the club officially broke their 17-year trophy drought.

Other Spurs legends react to Tottenham’s trophy win

Moura was not the only former Spurs hero who reacted jubilantly to the win, with several of the club’s fan favourites expressing their delight.

Mousa Dembele, Robbie Keane and Aaron Lennon were over the moon after Tottenham finally got their hands on a trophy, with the Irish striker and the Englishman being part of the last side that won silverware at Spurs back in 2008.

Now that Tottenham have got over the line and managed to get the monkey off their back, Spurs fans will be hoping that the floodgates open over the coming years and winning trophies becomes a habit at N17.
