The remit for Tudor when he would have taken the job would have been clear: win football matches.
However, as Frank would have found out, that is easier said than done.
It is clear, at least from his conduct on the sidelines and his interviews with the media, that he wants a change of mentality at the club.
This would also include strict discipline and ensuring that the players do not step out of line, and not put their individual needs above the team’s.
He believes that physicality cancels out quality, and wants Tottenham to impose themselves in games and work relentlessly off the ball regardless of the team they are playing against.
Tudor has parted ways with John Heitinga, Justin Cochrane and Chris Haslam, and replaced them with Bruno Saltor as his assistant, Tomislav Rogic (goalkeeping coach) and Riccardo Raganacci (physical coach).
Rogic and Raganacci have worked with him and know his demands, while Saltor was lauded for his time at Chelsea.
The fact that the board have agreed to these changes suggests that they believe in his ability to get the job done.
