Thomas Frank spoke of an ‘extraordinary’ feeling in being named our Men’s First Team Head Coach.

Appointed on Thursday (12 June), Thomas signed a contract with the Club that runs until 2028

This week, the Dane arrived at Hotspur Way to take up his new role and, with our fixtures for the 2025/26 season now having been revealed, he is eager to get to work and build towards the new campaign.

“I’ve only heard good stuff about all the people here, the training ground, the players. It’s a good squad. It’s an exciting, massive club with massive potential. So, it’s just super, super exciting.

“I had very good conversations and meetings with (Daniel Levy, Vinai Venkatesham, and Johan Lange) where we discussed everything in depth - details about the Club structure, processes - and of course I came with my views on things, how I saw it, my ideas, and the way I want to do things and how I try to build a team and a club.

“Of course, it’s not just me. I think it’s very important to say: yes, the Head Coach is an important person, but if I don’t have good people around me, it’s impossible. You can’t do anything alone, in my opinion.

“If you want to do something quick, you can go alone. If you want to do something big or achieve something big, you go together. So, it’s definitely about doing things together - me, the staff, the players.

“I think alignment is key - from top to bottom. Of course it starts from Daniel, Vinai, Johan, and me - and the more the four of us can be aligned, just like a unit, an unbreakable unit, the stronger we’ll be.

“There’ll be ups and downs - right now, it’s a fairytale. Everyone’s happy, the sun is shining, it’s fantastic.

“We haven’t played one game yet. Hopefully we’ll win a lot. We’ll work very hard every single day to make sure we create as many magic moments for the fans and put them together and at the end of the season we’ll have had a very good season.”

After we enjoyed an unforgettable end to the 2024/25 season as we lifted the Europa League trophy on that surreal night in Bilbao, Thomas is very keen to build on that success and is determined to deliver more of those glory, glory moments for fans.

“Huge congratulations to the Club, to the team (for the Europa League triumph). Huge congratulations to Ange (Postecoglou) - I think Ange has done something special. He’ll forever be a legend in Tottenham,” Thomas said.

“It’s important to understand we all stand on the shoulders of others. I’m going in on the foundation Ange built, and his coaching staff, and I’m very humble about that. I’ll do my very best to continue the great work he put in.

“The feeling, the excitement, the joy and the happiness in the fans’ faces, the pictures—was ‘wow’. Hopefully, we can create more of those moments. That will be the ultimate dream: to do that and build on that.”
