West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma.

According to Football Insider, the 28-year-old is expected to leave the club this summer, and the Hammers have now registered their interest in signing him. They are hoping that he can come in and fix their midfield problems.

Yves Bissouma could improve the Hammers

The Malian has shown his quality in the Premier League with Brighton and Tottenham. There is no doubt that he could be an excellent addition to West Ham. He has played under Graham Potter in the past, and a reunion could be ideal for both.

Potter needs some defensive steel in his midfield, and the player needs to join a club where he will get regular football. He has fallen down the pecking order at Tottenham, and he is no longer an important player for them. The North London outfit are looking to cash in, and moving to West Ham could be ideal. It would allow him to play at a high level and regain his form and confidence.

Spurs have Bissouma replacement in place

Meanwhile, Spurs will look to recoup some money from his departure. It remains to be seen whether they can improve their squad further before the window closes.

As for the Bissouma replacement, they have already brought in Joao Palhinha. The Portuguese international has impressed in the Premier League so far, and he scored a vital goal for his team against Manchester City recently.
