Tottenham are closing in on a key moment in their managerial search, with a decision expected imminently from Roberto De Zerbi following the latest round of talks.
In the last few hours following Igor Tudor’s departure from north London, Tottenham Hotspur’s focus has turned to securing the services of a new manager.
It is understood that Tottenham’s search is not expected to go on for too long, with a short timeline fixed by Spurs for them to wrap up their managerial appointment.
Roberto De Zerbi is currently the favourite for the vacant managerial role, and Tottenham have been working around the clock to secure the former Brighton man’s signature.
Tottenham await Roberto De Zerbi response after contract talks
It has been explained that Tottenham are now proposing a long-term contract with huge relegation clauses in their attempt to sign De Zerbi.
The Italian is said to be considering the offer, while Spurs are hopeful that their latest proposal will be accepted by the former Brighton manager.
The Telegraph has now revealed that De Zerbi is set to inform Tottenham later on Monday whether he is prepared to take over as their new head coach immediately, after positive talks on Sunday.

Long before now, the 44-year-old has preferred a role later in the summer, but Spurs are now pushing to bring him in immediately, with talks still ongoing.
Spurs keep Sean Dyche option amid uncertainty
Should the Italian not agree to the new proposal, Tottenham can still turn to Sean Dyche as he remains on their radar.
However, any deal with the former Everton boss is expected to be an interim one, which will see him take charge until the end of the season.
Spurs’ potential proposal, though, does not align with what Dyche is demanding if he is to come into the dugout in north London.
Time is of the essence for Tottenham, who are at risk of relegation to the Championship, making it crucial to get their next manager through the door quickly.
