Tottenham fans are still waiting to hear from Thomas Frank, three days after he was confirmed as the club’s head coach and a new report has shed light on why the Dane is yet to speak to the club media.

Spurs confirmed on Thursday that Frank had signed a three-year contract to replace Ange Postecoglou at the helm.

The Tottenham Hotspur supporters are excited about the new era under the 51-year-old and reports indicate that Frank has already spoken to Tottenham regarding his transfer priorities this summer.

However, the fans are yet to hear from the former Brentford boss and there could be a very obvious reason for that.

Thomas Frank might not even be in London, let alone in Tottenham

Football.London have now said that the reason Frank has not spoken to the club’s media could be that he is still on holiday.

Given how early in the summer the appointment has happened, the outlet suggests that the Dane may not have returned from his end-of-season break.

Tottenham may not be willing to interrupt his hard-earned time off to undertake media duties, which he will do when he returns to the capital.

Football.London point out that it was a similar case with Ange Postecoglou, who only gave his first interview as Tottenham’s head coach several days after he was appointed.

While Nuno Espirito Santo gave an interview as soon as his appointment was confirmed, that was because it happened later in the summer, with the Portuguese coach taking the job just days before the start of pre-season.

Spurs assistant coach has spoken since his appointment

While Spurs fans have not heard from their new head coach, they have heard from Frank’s right-hand man, who has followed him from Brentford.

Justin Cochrane has admitted that he is very excited to start his journey as Tottenham’s assistant coach, with the 43-year-old returning to the club many years after starting his coaching journey in the Hotspur Way academy.
