Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on a Nigerian starlet ahead of the summer, and the player has made an interesting admission about his future.
In Johan Lange, Tottenham have a sporting director who possesses plenty of expertise in Scandinavian football.
The Lilywhites put that to use when they secured the services of Lucas Bergvall from Djurgarden back in 2024, with Tottenham beating Barcelona to the midfielder’s signature.
The 20-year-old has proven to be an inspired addition for the North Londoners, and they are now looking to repeat the trick by signing another talented teenager from the Swedish top-flight.
Tottenham plotting move for AIK starlet Zadok Yohanna
According to a report in Expressen (as translated by Sport Witness), Tottenham are big fans of young Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna.
The 18-year-old moved to AIK last summer, and he has impressed since breaking into the club’s first team this term, with four goals and three assists to his name in 15 appearances.
That has attracted the attention of scouts across Europe, including representatives from Tottenham, who made the trip to Sweden to watch Yohanna live in his side’s 2-1 loss to Degerfors IF on Thursday.

Yohanna sends transfer hint amid Spurs rumours
Interestingly, Expressen caught up with the winger after the game to ask him about the speculation that he is being watched closely by the likes of Spurs.
Yohanna responded: “No, I don’t know. I didn’t know there were scouts here. I’m just focusing on my game. My focus is completely on AIK.” The teenager was then asked about his future ambitions, and he responded: “Of course I have a dream.”
Degerfors IF manager Henok Goitom raved about Yohanna even though his side managed to emerge with all three points, admitting that he decided to double-mark the youngster.
Goitomn said: “Yohanna is an exceptional player. I love watching him play. He plays like he plays on the street. We told Samba [Diatara] that he is good. And to [Elias] Barsoum that we have to play two against one there.”
