Tottenham Hotspur could target Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna as a potential replacement for Ange Postecoglou, according to a report from TEAMtalk.
The English manager has previously been linked with the Spurs job and may now emerge as another alternative to Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola, who is expected to remain on the Dorset coast.
Spurs are believed to be searching for a successor to Postecoglou already, with Fulham’s Marco Silva and Brentford’s Thomas Frank also considered potential options.
Postecoglou is under significant pressure ahead of Tottenham’s must-win Europa League quarter-final against Eintracht Frankfurt – with claims that a loss on Thursday night could mark the end of his tenure in North London.
To replace Ange Postecoglou this summer
According to TEAMtalk, while McKenna has been linked with the Spurs job before, there have been no concrete approaches made to the Ipswich boss so far.
The 38-year-old, praised as ‘world-class’, was also among the managerial targets for Manchester United and Chelsea before the season, but eventually extended his contract with the Tractor Boys until June 2028.
McKenna, who took over at Portman Road in 2021, has endured a difficult Premier League campaign as Ipswich edge closer to relegation with six games remaining.
They sit 18th in the table, 14 points behind West Ham in 17th – meaning another loss this weekend could prove decisive in their battle to stay up.
GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Ipswich have won just four Premier League games this season.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are heading for their worst Premier League finish since 1993/94, when they also ended up 15th.
The Lilywhites have won just once in their last six games and next face Nottingham Forest in the league on Monday.
