Another busy day, another late open thread. Sorry, gang. I’m through the worst of it now.
We’re down to the final 8 teams in the World Cup, and the opening match of this round could be the most exciting of the rounds. France has looked solid but not unbeatable in this tournament, and Morocco has survived a couple of scares but still looks capable of beating anyone, as you’d expect from the team that finished as a semifinalist in 2022. Can they do it again? We’re going to find out here in a few minutes!
