Tottenham are looking to return to winning ways when they visit West Ham on Saturday.
The pair of London rivals meet in E20 at 5:30pm on Saturday evening, with the Lilywhites aiming to get back on track after a frustrating defeat last time out.
Tottenham were beaten by Bournemouth on home turf in their final game before the international break, and they will be desperate to put that right this weekend.
Thomas Frank now has several new options at his disposal, and with that in mind, Tottenham News predicts the starting XI for Spurs’ visit to the London Stadium.
Xavi Simons to debut as Richarlison dropped for Randal Kolo Muani
Xavi Simons’ arrival has brought plenty of excitement at Tottenham, and the big-money signing looks likely to make his debut in the Premier League this weekend.
MORE SPURS STORIES
The Lilywhites shelled out £52million to secure his signature from RB Leipzig, and Frank will be keen to get him involved at the earliest opportunity as he looks to bed him into the team.
Simons is most natural in an attacking midfield role, but with the boss likely to stick to the 4-3-3 shape that has served his side well so far this term, he could start on the left flank.
Brennan Johnson is the likely candidate to make way, and the overhaul of the attack could continue after a toothless display in the defeat to the Cherries.
Richarlison has been revitalised under Frank so far this season, but he looked too much like his former self against Bournemouth, and completed just 36% of his passes during the defeat.
That could see him drop to the bench this time around, with Randal Kolo Muani coming in as a second debutant, as Spurs go in search of the perfect creative formula in the final third.
Richarlison has earned a lifeline at Tottenham
Richarlison was heavily linked with a Tottenham exit this summer, but he has certainly earned a lifeline for himself with his performances in the opening few games.
The Brazilian netted a brace in the opening day win over Burnley, and he followed that up with a typically tireless display against Manchester City.
He has led the line in impressive fashion so far during Frank’s tenure, but he looked ready for a rest in the clash with Bournemouth.
That gives the boss a good opportunity to give Kolo Muani his chance to impress and fulfil the lofty expectations that are expected of him after his loan arrival.
Richarlison’s recent displays have certainly earned him a second chance in N17, and that shouldn’t change if he does miss out on Saturday.
