Yves Bissouma has been linked with the move away from Tottenham during the summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old was not at his best last season, and he has been linked with multiple clubs. According to former Premier League scout Mick Brown, Tottenham are open to offers for him, and the player’s agent is already working to find his client a new club.
Spurs ready to cash in
“I think Yves Bissouma is a very good player,” he told Football Insider.
“But from what I hear, he’s not really the type of player Thomas Frank likes to use.
“The call now is for more of a physical, box-to-box type midfielder, and he isn’t one of those.
“Tottenham are going to be open to offers for him and there are a few clubs having a look, because his agent has been working to find him a move.”
Bissouma is unlikely to be a key player if he stays at Tottenham next season. It makes sense for him to move on so that he can play regularly at a high level. Clubs from Italy are keen on him. Juventus are reportedly keeping tabs on his situation.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can finalise his exit in the coming weeks and bring in a quality replacement. They need a reliable defensive midfielder.
They were quite poor defensively last season, and they need someone who can shield the back four and break down the opposition’s attacking moves.
Yves Bissouma needs a fresh start
Meanwhile, Bissouma is still very much at the peak of his powers, and he will look to get back to his best once again. Joining a big club would be ideal for him. He will look to reclaim his form and confidence and push for trophies next season. He has been labelled as “brave” by Gary Neville.
It will be interesting to see where the midfielder ends up. Tottenham will look to recoup a reasonable amount of money from his departure and invest it into the playing squad.
