Yves Bissouma wants to leave Tottenham Hotspur in search of regular first-team football.
He has accepted that he will not be a regular starter at the North London club after the signing of Joao Palhinha. Additionally, he has not made the best impression on the new manager, Thomas Frank. He was criticised for his lateness during training and meetings.
It would be ideal for the midfielder to move on, and Tottenham are prepared to accept a suitable offer for him.
Yves Bissouma wants out
“[Bissouma] hasn’t made the best of impressions on Thomas Frank”, Pete O’Rourke told Football Insider.
“He’ll probably find it hard to get into that Tottenham midfield now, following the signing of [Joao] Palhinha.
“If a suitable offer was to come in for Bissouma, Tottenham would be willing to listen to that, and the player himself might be keen on a move away in search of regular first-team football.”
Tottenham need to get rid of Bissouma
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can sell the player before the January transfer window reopens. The summer transfer window is still open in some parts of the world. He has interest from Turkey and Saudi Arabia. It will be interesting to see if the African is willing to move there.
The 28-year-old is at the peak of his career, and he will want to compete at the highest level. He has shown his quality in the Premier League in the past. Tottenham midfielder James Maddison has previously labelled him as a “ridiculous player”. There is no doubt that he would be an exceptional acquisition for most teams if he manages to regain his form and confidence.
It will be interesting to see where he ends up.
