Tottenham Hotspur’s woeful start to the new season continued as they crashed out of the Carabao Cup at Liverpool on Tuesday evening, and the fans are clearly starting to run out of patience with Roberto De Zerbi.

When the season kicked off, there would have been hope that Tottenham Hotspur could make a decent fist of things in the cup competitions, with a reasonably deep squad and limited fixture congestion with no European football.

In an entertaining contest, Alexis Mac Allister gave the Reds an early lead courtesy of a thumping first-time finish from the edge of the area.

Alexis Mac Allister, Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai all scored for the Reds on Tuesday night at Anfield, while Conor Gallagher was on target for the visitors.
