Premier League clubs non-active in European competition have officially discovered their fate following the completion of the Carabao Cup second-round draw on Monday evening.
Top-flight heavyweights Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur were among the highest-profile names in the hat.
The Carabao Cup continues with the first Premier League representatives entering the competition at the second-round stage.
West Ham have completed the signing of winger Manor Solomon from Tottenham on a three-year contract.
The Championship club did not disclose the fee, but the Hammers are understood to have paid about £5m to make the Israel international their third permanent signing of the summer.
Bayern Munich are edging closer to agreeing a new contract with Harry Kane, but while that will temporarily dent his chances of returning to the Premier League, a future transfer to England's top flight cannot be ruled out.
I can’t believe it, but we’re already talking about the Carabao Cup. It feels early, doesn’t it feel early? That’s probably because Tottenham are actually in the 2nd round since they finished outside of Europe. The draw just completed, and Spurs drew a peach — home to Charlton Athletic.
Chelsea will host Jack Wilshere's Luton Town in the Carabao Cup second round, while Tottenham Hotspur host Charlton Athletic in a London derby.
