Tottenham will host AZ Alkmaar on Thursday night for the second leg of the Europa League competition as they look to progress through to the quarter-finals. However, the side will have their work cut out for them after an own goal from Lucas Bergvall led to a 1-0 loss in the first leg that now sees the Londoners in an uphill battle.

Spurs must win their first home match in almost a month to at least force extra time if they have any chance of progressing further in the Europa League. Many fans see tonight's fixture as a season-defining game for Tottenham.

There is some good news on the injury front - Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Ben Davies is back and available for selection ahead of the Europa League match. The defender has missed his club's last four games but has reportedly returned to full training with the rest of the squad - and is in contention to play against AZ.

The Welshman heads into the game on 348 appearances for the Club in all competitions and his experience could prove invaluable. Defender Davies is the second-highest appearance-maker for Spurs in European competitions. Postecoglou confirmed: "Ben (Davies) is back."

Tottenham Hotspur's defence has been significantly impacted by injuries this season, creating a persistent challenge for their manager. The team has faced a significant crisis with all four senior centre-backs—Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Ben Davies, and Radu Dragusin—suffering injuries at various points during the season.

Rodrigo Bentancur will be unavailable for selection after he picked up his third yellow card in Spurs' European campaign during the first-leg loss at AFAS Stadion. The midfielder picked up an automatic one-game suspension in the Netherlands match which ruled him out of tonight's match. On Sunday, the Uruguayan reached his Spurs century as he made his 100th appearance for the Club in our 2-2 draw with AFC Bournemouth.

Kevin Danso

Injury: Hamstring.

What Postecoglou has said: "Kevin got a hamstring injury in the last game so he's out.

"It's hard to say (when he will be back) at the moment. He felt it right at the end of the game so we'll see.

"We have the international break which helps us and Kevin looks after himself, he's a pretty good athlete, so we'll give him every chance to get back. We'll have to let it settle down a bit before we get some clarity but he'll be pushing."

Possible return date: Currently being assessed.

Richarlison

Injury: Calf.

What Postecoglou has said: "Probably post the international break he should be there or thereabouts depending on his progress.

"It was good to see him back out on the grass - he is working hard to get back in.

"Hopefully post international break he will be available."

Possible return date: Chelsea (A), April 3.

Radu Dragusin

Injury: Knee.

What Spurs have said: "Radu underwent surgery following his ACL injury. That procedure has now been completed, and the centre-back will now commence with his recovery before beginning the rehab process."

Possible return date: December.

Dejan Kulusevski

Injury: Foot.

What Postecoglou has said: "He's had a knock on his foot. He's not really sure when (it happened) to be honest.

"It's been sore for the last couple of weeks, but he has been able to train and play and still get through it. But it wasn't getting better, so we did some further investigations, but there's no real clarity. We're just waiting on a couple of things to find out the extent of it.

"But he's unlikely to be back before the international break. It's nothing serious; it's nothing surgical or anything."

I quit Tottenham in £31m transfer – I know why Spurs haven't won a trophy in 17 years

Dimitar Berbatov believes Tottenham Hotspur's squad have developed a non-winning mentality, given the club's trophy drought spanning 17 years.

The former striker – who spent two years in north London – was part of the club's last trophy triumph back in 2008 when he scored in Spurs' 2-1 extra-time victory against Chelsea to win the League Cup at Wembley.

While the Lilywhites have gone on to reach other finals since then, namely the Champions League final in 2019 against Liverpool, they've failed to add to their trophy cabinet, which has resulted in star players such as Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, Kyle Walker and – more recently – Harry Kane eventually seeking pastures new.

The Bulgarian legend – who was recently named European Brand Ambassador for LiveScore – left White Hart Lane in the summer of 2008 to join Manchester United for £31million and went on to win two Premier League titles under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Since Ange Postecoglou took charge at Spurs, the club have rebuilt their squad. But during an exclusive interview with football.london, the 44-year-old said the mentality of the Spurs side is one not currently equipped to win silverware.

"Some of the players are too long into the team now," Berbatov admitted. "When you spend too long into the team, you get comfortable, I mean, you didn't win anything, this is going to be your mentality of not winning anything."

He suggested clubs should shake up their squads every four years if they're not successful and with Spurs set to enter Postecoglou's third season in charge in August, that time may be coming for the Aussie. "This is going to be your zone," Berbatov added.

"So that's why I think every team should be shuffle around every four years, especially if the team is not winning anything with the players that the team has. And then you try to get new players with which you can to try to win a trophy."

With Spurs currently 13th in the table and out of both domestic cup competitions, the Europa League represents their last opportunity to win a trophy and somewhat salvage what has been a disappointing season. However, they have their work cut out for them on Thursday as they host AZ Alkmaar in the second leg of their Round of 16 tie on Thursday.

They trail 1-0 to the Eredivisie side from their first leg defeat in the Netherlands earlier this month. Berbatov admitted that his collaboration with LiveScore, an app that provides real-time updates on global football matches, was something he saw coming.

"Even before I worked with LiveScore, if you want to check the scores of a game, my friends, my environment [in Sofia], everybody was going to LiveScore," he shared. "So it was also a sign that I'm going to work with them in the future."

Tottenham vs AZ Alkmaar predicted as Europa League quarter-finals fate decided

After a disappointing loss in the first leg, Spurs need to beat AZ Alkmaar by two goals or more to secure their spot in the Europa League quarter-finals.

A poor display in the Netherlands saw AZ beat Spurs 1-0 in the Europa League round of 16 first leg last week, sending Ange Postecoglou's side into the second leg with a tougher task than expected. Anything less than a win on the night would see Spurs eliminated from the competition, while a win by one goal would take the game to extra-time then penalties.

A 2-2 draw with Bournemouth in the Premier League on the weekend made it three games in a row without a win for the Lilywhites, and Postecoglou's side will need to rediscover their winning ways later tonight if they want to keep their hopes of a trophy and Champions League qualification alive. If Spurs can make it to the quarter-finals, they will face either Ajax or Eintracht Frankfurt in the last eight of the competition.

So, can Spurs pick up a much-needed victory to book their spot in the Europa League quarter-finals? Let's take a look.

We simulated Tottenham vs AZ Alkmaar to get a score prediction

To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 25 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.

We predict that Spurs could line up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their starting XI as follows: Vicario; Spence, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Bergvall, Bissouma, Maddison; Tel, Solanke, Son.

We predict that AZ could line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with their starting XI as follows: Owusu-Oduro; Maikuma, Goes, Penetra, Wolfe; Koopmeiners, Claise; Kasius, Buurmeester, Poku; Parrott.

Spurs suffocated AZ to their own half for the majority of the first half, with Postecoglou's side dominating possession as they searched for the opening goal. James Maddison came close when he struck the post from a free-kick 20 minutes in, but the all-important goal finally arrived in the 43rd minute, with Micky van de Ven heading home from a deep corner into the box.

The second half played out just like the first, but AZ defended well to limit Spurs to predominantly ambitious shots as the Dutch side held on to take the game to extra time. The visitors rarely left their own half, but a mistake on their first attempt of going forward in extra time allowed Spurs to grab a second and go ahead on aggregate.

Some fantastic tracking back from Lucas Bergvall saw the midfielder scoop the ball away from Jordy Clasie as AZ moved forward in numbers, allowing Spurs to hit AZ on a counterattack of their own. Bergvall picked out Mathys Tel's bursting run into space, and the Frenchman drilled a powerful effort into the bottom corner to make it 2-0 in extra time.

Now behind on aggregate, AZ pushed everyone forward in a late attempt of grabbing a goal, but Postecoglou's side defended well to see out the victory in north London.

EA FC 25 predicted final score (AET): Tottenham 2-0 AZ (Tottenham win 2-1 on aggregate)

What do you think the final score will be? Let us know in the comments!

How Ange Postecoglou's big Yves Bissouma decision could impact Tottenham duo

Description

Tottenham's Europa League fixture against AZ Alkmaar on Thursday evening could well be viewed as the biggest game of Ange Postecoglou's tenure. Following a dismal 2024/25 campaign that has left the team languishing in 13th place in the Premier League table, the Europa League is Spurs' last hope of winning silverware this season.

The north London club will have to come from behind if they are to reach the quarter-finals of UEFA's second club competition as they trail 1-0 from the first leg. Spurs were extremely poor in the Netherlands last Thursday and they are a tad lucky to be coming into the deciding leg only one goal down as their opponents had opportunities to extend their lead on the night.

Postecoglou's team selection is going to be rather interesting as he has huge calls to make across the pitch. Decisions need to be made in defence and the front three, with midfield perhaps the biggest conundrum facing the Australian.

Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski are not available for the game against AZ and that certainly limits Postecoglou's options in the process. One option in terms of the No.6 role would be to unleash Archie Gray there as that is viewed as his long-term position after all.

However, it could possibly be Yves Bissouma who wins the race to start despite his struggles across the season. The midfield selection and the potential inclusion of Bissouma over Gray or Pape Matar Sarr is a big talking point on the latest episode of football.london's Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham podcast.

Our Spurs correspondents Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest discussed Gray vs Bergvall and all the other selection dilemmas facing Postecoglou ahead of Thursday evening's defining game. As well as that, Kevin Danso's injury, AZ Alkmaar's preparations and Aaron Lennon's time at Tottenham is also on the agenda.

Ange Postecoglou needs to get his Tottenham Hotspur team selection spot on if they are to come from behind to beat AZ in the Europa League.

Spurs welcome the Alkmaar side to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday night needing to overcome a one-goal deficit from the first leg of the round of 16 clash in the Netherlands. Postecoglou's side were woeful in the first game and were extremely fortunate to return home with just the single goal conceded.

There is a new injury absence for Tottenham in the shape of Kevin Danso, after football.london reported on Tuesday that the centre-back had suffered a hamstring injury in the draw with Bournemouth and was set for a spell on the sidelines. While confirming that injury on Wednesday, Postecoglou did say that Ben Davies was back in training and Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven were available after coming through their returns on Sunday.

It could be the first time that Postecoglou will be able to get his four leaders - Son Heung-min, James Maddison, Romero and Guglielmo Vicario - on the pitch together since November and they have not started a match together since October.

Rodrigo Bentancur is unavailable for the second leg through suspension, while Dejan Kulusevski, long-term absentee Radu Dragusin and Richarlison are all out injured. The unregistered Timo Werner, Antonin Kinsky and Sergio Reguilon cannot play in this encounter.

Here's the Tottenham team that we reckon Postecoglou will go with to face the Dutch visitors on Thursday night.

Ange Postecoglou could do something for the first time in five months with Tottenham team vs AZ

Ange Postecoglou's senior Tottenham players could prove decisive when it comes to the team potentially clinching a place in the last eight of the Europa League. Spurs have it all to do on Thursday evening when they take on AZ Alkmaar one week on from their 1-0 defeat in the Netherlands.

The sides have already met at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the league phase of the competition this term and it was Spurs who prevailed on that occasion with a 1-0 win. AZ were a very tough opponent as Richarlison's second-half penalty proved to be the difference on the night.

Amid all of Tottenham's injury problems over the course of the season, things do appear to be easing up in the treatment room right now following the high-profile returns of Guglielmo Vicario, Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, James Maddison and Dominic Solanke to name a few. There was very much a reliance on the club's youngsters during that period and players such as Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall flourished in the absence of the team's leaders.

What the recent injury boost does give Postecoglou the opportunity to do is get his four leaders in Vicario, Romero, Maddison and Son Heung-min on the pitch at the very same time. That was something he mentioned during his pre-match press conference as it hasn't been the case for Tottenham so far in 2025.

"Yeah I think so, but we haven’t had them a lot," he said when asked about relying on experience. "I would include Vicario in that as well. I think Vic was enormous for us in the first leg and he was big for us on the weekend as well.

"You want your big, experienced players to perform in these games, for sure. We have relied a lot on our younger players who have really progressed really well, but I guess a night like tomorrow night, having the likes of Romero, Maddison, Vicario and Sonny out there, they are our four leaders and I don’t think we’ve had them on the park at all this year or very little anyway. Having all four of them, the whole leadership group out there, will definitely be beneficial."

You have to go back to the middle of October for the last time the aforementioned quartet started a game for Tottenham. That was in the 4-1 win over West Ham at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Son helping himself to the final goal of the contest.

All four players did play together in November's 2-1 home defeat to Ipswich Town but Maddison did not start the game and was only introduced with six minutes left on the clock. Since then, Postecoglou has only had the quartet available at the same time in the past two games as Vicario injured his ankle in November, Romero has had two separate injuries and Maddison was out in late January and early February with a calf strain.

Vicario and Maddison made their comebacks in February and it wasn't until last Sunday when Romero returned to the pitch against Bournemouth after last featuring in December. It wasn't just Postecoglou in front of the TV cameras on Wednesday afternoon at Hotspur Way as Vicario also spoke to the media and discussed his leadership role.

"Every day we have responsibility on this group. We try to do our best and try to give the good advice to the youngsters, but it’s about the collective responsibility," he said. "Tomorrow, of course, we know the importance of the game is massive and we’re going to do this test altogether as a family.

"It’s so important and everyone has to focus on their game, it’s so important, and then as a collective we go through every situation during the game and try to win this game."

On what his responsibility looks like, the goalkeeper added: "More than talking, the thing that I am most effective at is how you behave, how you show your behaviour to the youngsters. Maybe they are coming into a new team so I think the responsibility is in action, not just in talking.

"Sometimes you need to talk about something. But I think we have the manager that every day is giving us the good words to explain which is the right way to play football, the right way to behave for this football club.

"I think the most important thing is how you act, how you behave into the dressing room and what you show on the pitch. Also maybe the normal stuff we do in the gym, and try to be very professional and committed to this football club."

Looking at a Europa League round of 16 exit as it stands prior to Thursday night's game in north London, Tottenham have to deliver a big performance to keep their Europa League dreams alive. Postecoglou's four leaders are going to be pivotal to that.

Micky van de Ven sends defiant Tottenham message before huge AZ Alkmaar Europa League clash

Tottenham star Micky van de Ven appears amped up for the huge Europa League last-16 second leg against AZ Alkmaar. The Netherlands international had not featured since late January before his cameo off the bench in last Sunday's 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.

In the December defeat to Chelsea, Van de Ven suffered a fresh hamstring injury on his return after a month out. He then missed a further seven weeks despite getting through 45 minutes without any issues in the 3-0 win over Elfsborg during the first stage of the Europa League.

As he was absent from the next two squads, questions over his fitness towards Ange Postecoglou began with the Spurs boss explaining the route that was being taken.

"We've had a few people externally looking at him and give him some more guidance and information, added to our stuff, which he can do differently around, not so much the injury, but to help his body adapt to the extreme athlete he is and can be," the Spurs boss revealed in February.

"You always want to protect your assets and he is a major club asset and to protect his long-term career for the sake of a couple of weeks is worth it." With Van de Ven coming on to replace Romero in the clash against the Cherries, both central defenders could be in a position to start against AZ, especially with Kevin Danso ruled out.

The January signing suffered a hamstring issue late into the weekend's game and with Ben Davies only just back from a muscular problem of his own, it is likely either Romero and Van de Ven start in Europe or one of that duo is partnered by Archie Gray.

Having played less on Sunday than Romero, that could certainly be Van de Ven if Postecoglou was saving him to be ready from the off on Thursday evening at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. And the Dutchmen certainly appears keen to start for just the third time in four months judging by the video he posted to Instagram.

The video starts by showing Van de Ven accepting the applause from supporters before he comes onto the pitch around the hour mark. A number of key touches, runs and passes are included before the clip ends with his passionate celebration for Pape Mater Sarr's goal and his own applause towards fans at full-time.

Van de Ven playing the full 90 minutes against AZ is hard to imagine but he will hoping for a prominent role in what is Spurs' most important game of the season.

Guglielmo Vicario explains why the Tottenham players are still behind Ange Postecoglou

Description

Guglielmo Vicario has been speaking to the media ahead of Tottenham's big Europa League round of 16 second leg clash with AZ Alkmaar and we've got every single word the Spurs goalkeeper said.

On Thursday night at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Lilywhites must turn around a one-goal deficit after a dismal display in the Netherlands and the north London club's season hinges on whether they progress in the Europa League as the Premier League table does not look healthy with them in 13th place.

Vicario had plenty to say ahead of the big match on a wide range of topics, including the future of head coach Ange Postecoglou.

Our Tottenham correspondent Alasdair Gold was among those putting the questions to the Italian and here's a full transcript from the press conference at Hotspur Way.

Tomorrow is win or bust. How do you as players deal with the extra pressure?

We know exactly what the game means tomorrow night, we are very conscious of it, and we just want to win the game. In terms of pressure, every Sunday and Thursday for six months we are dealing with that. It’s about getting in the best mindset to face AZ. It will be a big clash and we are very ready to play this game.

Will you treat it like a cup final?

We will treat it like a big game of football. Because we know especially in this competition when two legs to face, the game splits in two halves. Maybe we lost the first half in the Netherlands and now have big opportunity to overturn the result in our favour tomorrow.

Are you playing for the manager's future too?

The pressure is on us because we play the game so I think we have to deal with that. But we are used to dealing with pressure day by day because we play every three days. We know the importance of the game tomorrow, for everyone at this football club, for us players, for the fans especially. But I think with all the support we will have tomorrow in the stadium, it will be an exciting night. We are really looking forward to playing tomorrow.

How much do you appeal to the fans to get behind you tomorrow and stick with the team?

They will deliver and then it’s on us what we can show tomorrow. We know exactly what we're going to face. We will face a good side. They showed this at their place. The best version of Spurs for tomorrow night is togetherness from us on the pitch and the fans in the stands. With this mindset and mentality we can go through this round.

You, Son, Madders and Romero are the leaders says Ange Postecoglou – is there an extra responsibility on you?

Every day we have responsibility on this group. We try to do our best and try to give the good advice to the youngsters, but it’s about the collective responsibility. Tomorrow, of course, we know the importance of the game is massive and we’re going to do this test altogether as a family.

It’s so important and everyone has to focus on their game, it’s so important, and then as a collective we go through every situation during the game and try to win this game.

What does that responsibility look like?

More than talking, the thing that I am most effective at is how you behave, how you show your behaviour to the youngsters. Maybe they are coming into a new team so I think the responsibility is in action, not just in talking.

Sometimes you need to talk about something. But I think we have the manager that every day is giving us the good words to explain which is the right way to play football, the right way to behave for this football club.

I think the most important thing is how you act, how you behave into the dressing room and what you show on the pitch. Also maybe the normal stuff we do in the gym, and try to be very professional and committed to this football club.

I watched the documentary about your recovery, what did you learn about yourself during that time?

It’s been a very different perspective of my life that I’ve never faced before, a massive injury like I had. I had to see things in a different perspective, of course, and try to stay strong, especially mentally. It’s been a different challenge, a different chapter of my life but I can say I’ve leant a lot in terms of how I had to deal with this kind of stuff … it helped me a lot. Very proud now to be back. It’s part of the past but it has been a good process especially for my mind.

While you were out the club signed Antonin Kinsky and Brandon Austin made his debut, what have you made of them and the competition for the future?

Competition is just about football, every day in trying to push your limits. It’s an important thing. To challenge also yourself and to try to not sit down and say OK I’m safe. It’s trying to reach your best, which is what we did and also if you want to play high-level football, competition is needed in every position, at every club in the world. It’s very important. These guys when they played, they played very well. They try to help the team in a proper way. Very Happy for them and that’s it.

You said the other day that for this game, as opposed to the first-leg, you were ready to show the real Spurs. What does that mean?

Tomorrow the real Spurs will be judged just about winning. Of course if we don’t win we are out of the competition. We know that will be tough so we have to embrace this. We know this. The good Spurs tomorrow will be just the winning Spurs. To win, we will need our best performance in terms of how we approach the game, how we are tuned into the game. And then of course we have to show our best qualities in terms of playing the football and put pressure on them. Because we put pressure on them. Of course because we play at our place and we know we have to do that.

You said the manager plays the right way. Are you 100% behind him?

Yes. I can say that his approach has been very very committed since day one when he joined here. He delivered to us the same way to play the game because he truly believes in this. We can be successful in this way and we are fully behind him, fully trying to do the right things that he believes are working for us. We are very, very committed to doing that and we have proved that. When we are at 100 per cent here in the brain and very, very committed to that I think we proved and showed what we can do.

How have you coped with injuries in defence and playing behind so many different defenders?

I think injuries are part of football. You have to deal with that. In this team whichever players he tries to put the right work, the right mentality in the way we play. It doesn’t matter because all the lads are very committed, they try to do things at 100 per cent so yeah, of course we don’t want to lose players for injuries but it’s life, setbacks and football. Whichever players, I’m happy to play with.

Is it a case of there being no more excuses now?

Around this football club we spoke very, very, very few times about injuries. We didn’t make excuses but the fact is we’ve been through three very, very tough months. Also the manager never complained about that. The players talked and we say this among each other, that we never thought about injuries, crisis, injury problems. We try to do our best but playing every three days you can sometimes lose something, points or games of football, and it’s about how you deal with these setbacks and I think we try to deal with them in the best ways possible. Of course we now have a lot of lads coming back and we know our responsibility especially the senior players, what they can bring into the game and tomorrow is another opportunity to show it.

Can you still end the club's long wait for a trophy?

Of course we’ll try and we have a big opportunity in the Europa League. Of course we’ll start from tomorrow, try to get through the game, it will be a tough one we know. Then we’ll see. Of course we try to win every game of football and then we see at the end of the season what we can achieve.

How do you stop the mistakes with low confidence like we saw on Sunday?

On Sunday we faced a team that was very, very committed in pressure. It’s the best team in pressuring the opposition behind us. It’s been a very good challenge for us. You can make some mistakes like we did but the result says 2-2. It’s a draw. It’s not what we expected from that game but also going 2-0 down after 66 minutes and then going back to 2-2 showed the belief this football club has about ourselves, the players and the manager and the mentality we want to go through. I can say mistakes are part of football, maybe we put some in the game on Sunday, but in the end we showed we have this belief for this shirt that we wear. It’s important for me a way to start again for the game tomorrow.

James Maddison takes fresh swipe at Roy Keane amid ongoing Tottenham criticism

Description

James Maddison has fired back at criticism sent his way calling it 'very cheap' having been the target of some stern words from Manchester United legend Roy Keane. The former United midfielder has mimicked the Spurs' midfielder's darts celebration in recent weeks and criticised his performances.

The Irishman had previously questioned Maddison's impact during an episode of The Overlap, remarking: "We saw Maddison at Tamworth [in. the FA Cup third round], he was taken off.

"Tamworth are non league. People say Maddison's the man. When is he going to step up to the plate? He got relegated with Leicester and he'll get relegated with Spurs."

On Maddison's visit to Alexandra Palace to watch the PDC World Darts Championship, Keane added: "Maddison isn't bad, when he's not at the darts. But let me tell you, if you think he's going to come back and get Spurs into the top six, you're in cuckoo land. He's good, he's a talented player.

"But if you're a player in the Spurs dressing room and Maddison's back in the squad, you wouldn't be looking and going, 'Oh Jesus - he's back today. We're going to be fine.' England have a squad of 300 and he can't even get in that. You kid yourselves everybody."

In a fresh interview with Sky Sports Premier League, Maddison was coy in his response, not directly mentioning Keane by name and said he was fine with criticism being aimed at him but labelled it cheap.

"Yeah, that's okay," Maddison said when asked if he got talked about too much. "I'd rather that than them talk about Archie [Gray] or Lucas [Bergvall]. I don't mind taking the heat a little bit.

"I'm big enough and ugly enough now to take the hits and criticism because I know what I'm capable of, I know what I can do. I know my personal level.

"What people don't see is what we do behind the scenes. How much we're trying to improve and how much we work. It's very cheap to go and sit and talk and criticise.

"Training today the standard was unbelievable. The lads were working really hard because we drew at home to Bournemouth. The lads are not happy.

"People don't see it hurts us as well. We're not doing well in the league but I actually feel pretty good. I feel pretty sharp. I'm really looking forward to Thursday and beyond to try and finish the season special as a team.

"Finish the season strong personally. I can still have a really good season in terms of goals and assists. Trying to look for the positives and spread that through the dressing room rather than focus on the doom and gloom like the league position."
