U21s Preview: Leeds United vs Tottenham Hotspur
Leeds United Under-21s host Tottenham Hotspur Under-21s on Monday night in the Premier League 2 at the LNER Community Stadium.
The Whites will be aiming to bounce back following defeat against Sunderland, despite second half goals from Alfie Cresswell and Harvey Vincent.
Behind at the break, the skipper ignited a comeback by latching onto Rhys Chadwick’s cross to the back post, before Harvey Vincent headed in a second goal from a set piece but the Black Cats ultimately prevailed.
Despite the encounter ending in defeat, there were plenty of positives for Leeds to take into Monday night’s game at the LNER Community Stadium as Leeds look to move up the Premier League 2 table.
Prior to the meeting on Wearside, Scott Gardner’s side were beaten by West Ham United but managed to fight from two goals down to earn a draw away from home at Chelsea.
Tottenham head into the tie sat in 10th, suffering defeats in their last two games to Liverpool and Middlesbrough respectively.
Action from the LNER Stadium gets underway at 7pm.
