Tottenham v Forest Tips: Andy's 10/1 Bet Builder
Get ready for what could be the most important Premier League showdown either club has ever endured.
Tottenham’s unexpected point at Anfield and their spirited – though ultimately moot – 3-2 midweek victory over Atletico Madrid has given rise to a real change in tune for Igor Tudor and his band of ailing Lilywhites. However, it will all have been for nothing if Spurs don’t end their three-month wait for a home league win, and a nightmare defeat would see Forest leapfrog them.
That would undoubtedly change the complexion of the relegation battle for the Premier League ever-presents, especially with Spurs facing a number of challenging away games on top of their poor domestic home form. Forest also have a pretty challenging run-in and a 0-0 draw against Fulham that saw two Forest goals disallowed isn’t exactly the best springboard for this trip to London.

Xavi Simons 3+ shots
Xavi Simons improves every time I watch him in the Premier League, and I was particularly impressed with him during the week, as Tottenham crashed out of the Champions League.
Despite that setback, he was the best player on the pitch – taking four shots and scoring two goals from 77 touches in total. Tottenham’s players are starting to trust him more too, he’s a bit stronger and more solid when being challenged, suggesting he’s starting to adapt to the physicality of the Premier League.
Simons has taken 36 shots across his 17 starts in the Premier League this season, at an average of 2.06 shots per 90. This rate has been climbing all season, in line with Simons’ rise in confidence. I think he’ll be as influential as he was vs. Atletico and get away at least three shots in this relegation six-pointer.
Morgan Gibbs-White 1+ shots on target
I’m quite surprised Morgan Gibbs-White is still at Forest, he’s an excellent player, and certainly won’t stay at the club if they drop down to the Championship.
No Forest player has scored more Premier League goals than him this season, with his eight goal tally five clear of Forest’s next top scorer in Callum Hudson-Odoi. This shows how reliant Forest are his output and he should remain an important player for this clash.
Forest ran out 3-0 winners over Tottenham when the sides met earlier this season, with two of Hudson-Odoi’s three Premier League goals coming in that game. Gibbs-White had three shots in that match – with one of those efforts finding the target. He’s achieved his eight goal haul from 22 shots on target in the Premier League, working out at an average of 0.77 shots on target per 90.
Nicolas Dominguez to be carded
Nicolas Dominguez is a very aggressive midfielder, who is playing a bit higher up under Vitor Pereira. His new role benefitted Forest during the week, as he netted in Forest’s 2-1 win over Midjylland, which saw them through to the next round of the Europa League.
He was fortunate to avoid a booking in that game, committing two fouls. He’s picked up two yellow cards across 14 starts in the Premier League this season, from a foul count of 11 (1.06 fouls per 90). He’s a touch more aggressive than the numbers suggest, when looking at his general character and temperament, as well as his stats from last season.
He picked up nine yellow cards across 23 starts in the Premier League last term, suggesting he’s combustible in an environment like this, where both sides need the points to pull themselves away from the relegation zone.
