Tata Consultancy Services signs with Tottenham Hotspur to drive global fan engagement
While many fans might be hoping for fresh recruits in the team’s squad, Tottenham Hotspur has celebrated a "smart signing” off the pitch, bringing Tata Consultancy Services on board as its official digital transformation partner. The experts will now work to modernise the club’s digital operations.
Founded in 1882, Tottenham Hotspur is a historic football club, based in North London. The club has played in England’s top flight consistently since 1978, and most recently won the Europa League in 2025. However, after a bruising 2025/26 campaign, during which Spurs narrowly avoided a first Premier League-era relegation, a long-awaited period of renewal is on the cards.
One of Spurs’ first signings announced ahead of next season is not on the pitch at all, though. Instead, the club has proudly announced a new behind the scenes partnership with Tata Consultancy Services – which will work as Spurs’ official digital transformation partner, modernising digital operations, boosting cybersecurity, and “deliver more personalised fan experiences at scale”, according to a press release.
Ryan Norys, chief revenue officer at Tottenham Hotspur, commented, “Our ongoing digital transformation at Spurs underpins our wider aims to deepen fan engagement and enhance user experiences across our growing range of digital touchpoints. We are delighted to be able to take a true industry leader in TCS on this exciting journey with us – their expertise in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects with some of the world’s biggest brands will be invaluable to us moving forward.”
Tottenham has a substantial fan base around the world, however, that poor season on the pitch has seen the club seek ways to rebuild bridges with a supporter community that has regularly hosted protests in and out of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. During the season, this included announcing a freeze on season tickets – which often rise at the end of each campaign – for a second consecutive year.
Now, Spurs will also deploy TCS’ expertise to enable advanced analytics and insights on its data – which it hopes can drive “deeper fan engagement” by helping the club “harness data, modernise systems, and build a future ready digital platform.” At the same time, TCS will leverage its industry leading capabilities in Salesforce and Cybersecurity to support Tottenham Hotspur’s digital operations.
Girish Ramachandran, president of TCS Growth Markets, added, “We are delighted to partner with Tottenham Hotspur, a club with a rich legacy and a strong global fan following. This collaboration brings together their ambition to enhance fan experiences with TCS’ capabilities in building secure, scalable digital platforms. By combining data, technology, and design, we aim to help the Club deepen engagement with fans, create more connected and intuitive digital experiences across touchpoints.”
