Description

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club have submitted plans to cover the roof of its north London stadium in 3,770 solar panels.

The proposed system 1.64MWp system would comprise 3,770 photovoltaic modules, each rated at 435W, according to planning drawings dated 9 June 2026.

The panels would be distributed around much of the stadium roof, with exclusion zones retained across sections of the north and south stands.

The roof plan also shows gaps around structural bays and operational equipment.

A section drawing submitted to London Borough of Haringey shows the panels installed in the plane of the existing roof cladding.

They would sit at least 1 metre from the roof edge and no more than 1 metre above its highest point.

The drawing identifies the existing compression ring, primary columns, tension rings, flying columns and roof cassette upstand beams supporting the stadium roof.

The application boundary covers the stadium site between Tottenham High Road, Worcester Avenue and Park Lane.

Work is scheduled to start in September and last three months, according to the planning submission.

The drawings were produced by solar roofing specialist Solivus.
