BARNET FC SIGN DAMOLA AJAYI ON LOAN – Barnet Football Club
Barnet Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of forward Damola Ajayi on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 20-year-old can operate from either flank or through the middle and arrives at The Hive with experience in the UEFA Europa League and the EFL.
Ajayi began his youth career with Bromley before joining Tottenham’s Academy. He progressed through the age groups and helped Spurs win both the Under-17 and Under-18 Premier League Cups during the 2022/23 season.
He made a memorable Tottenham first-team debut against IF Elfsborg in January 2025, scoring just three minutes after coming on as a substitute in a 3-0 UEFA Europa League victory.
Ajayi was later part of Tottenham’s Europa League-winning squad and was named among the substitutes for the 2025 final against Manchester United.
The versatile attacker continued his development through loan spells with Doncaster Rovers and Bromley, gaining valuable experience in both League One and League Two. He also scored during Doncaster’s 4-0 Carabao Cup victory away to Middlesbrough.
Known for his pace, direct running and versatility across the attacking positions, Ajayi now joins Dean Brennan’s squad to strengthen the Bees’ attacking options.
Speaking on Damola’s arrival Dean Brennan said:
“Damola is a really exciting young player who gives us pace, energy and versatility at the top end of the pitch.
“He has been developed within an excellent academy at Tottenham and has already gained valuable experience in the EFL.
“We believe there is a lot more to come from him and we are delighted that he has chosen Barnet for the next stage of his career.”
Everyone at Barnet Football Club would like to welcome Damola to The Hive and wish him every success during his loan spell.
The loan remains subject to EFL approval.
