Thomas Frank tipped to secure stunning Tottenham signing of creative genius - TEAMtalk
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to use incoming boss Thomas Frank’s connections to secure the signing of an incredible new target, as they look to make a major splash in the summer transfer window.

The Dane is close to becoming Ange Postecoglou’s replacement in north London after Spurs controversially axed the trophy-winning Australian, with thoughts already turning to who Frank could bring in to improve a talented but largely under-performing squad.

Frank is keen on bringing explosive winger Bryan Mbeumo with him to Tottenham, although Manchester United remain in pole position to strike a deal for the Brentford man and Daniel Levy favours a move for Antoine Semenyo instead anyway.

However, latest reports suggest that Frank is pushing Spurs towards a move for another of his talented Bees stars in attacking midfielder Mikkel Damsgaard.

The 24-year-old Denmark international is currently under contract until 2030 but has started to draw attention from a number of top clubs in Europe due to his stellar performances for Frank’s current side.

Indeed, over the course of the 2024/25 campaign, Damsgaard created a total of 11 goals, a tally on a par with both Man Utd’s Bruno Fernandes and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka.

Reported CaughtOffside sources claim that Italian duo Napoli and Inter Milan are closely monitoring Damsgaard’s situation, although four clubs in England are also in the mix.

Frank’s links to Damsgaard and the leverage that could be used to secure a move to north London are behind the Tottenham links, while the report adds that Aston Villa, Newcastle United and West Ham are also in the running.

Brentford are believed to be open to offers in the range of €40-50 million (£34-42m), despite the fact they are also on the brink of losing talismanic forward Mbeumo. They would represent a significant profit on the £13.5 million they paid to sign Damsgaard from Sampdoria in the summer of 2022.

DON’T MISS ➡️ The key contract details of every Tottenham first-team player: Expiry dates, weekly wages, agents…

Where Damsgaard fits in at Tottenham

The majority of Damsgaard’s 43 appearances in all competitions for Brentford last season came in the No.8 attacking midfield role.

While he also has the ability to play out wide and also drop into a deeper-lying role midfielder role, his best work comes further forward. Indeed, 10 of his 11 assists during the 2024/25 campaign came from his operating more in the final third.

His goals output is not the best for a player of his talent, with Damsgaard only notching three times in his Brentford career so far, but as a creative force he is emerging as one of the Premier League’s top talents.

As for where he would fit into Frank’s Tottenham team, the position he operates in is a rather crowded one – unless there are some departures first.

Both James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski both played in the No.8 and No.10 positions under Postecoglou and it could be argued that the latter has now nailed down that position after switching from his right-wing role.

Maddison was very vocal in his support of Postecoglou and there times during the 2024/25 campaign where talk of a potential exit cropped up.

If that was to happen, Damsgaard would be a tremendous replacement. However, if Frank decides to keep the England international then it’s hard to see where his current Brentfod charge could squeeze into Tottenham’s first-choice XI.

Bryan Mbeumo: Levy overrules Frank to leave Man Utd in command of Tottenham over transfer - TEAMtalk
Description

Manchester United have positioned themselves in a commanding position to sign Bryan Mbeumo, as per an in-the-know journalist, who has revealed why Tottenham Hotspur’s appointment of Thomas Frank will not hinder their plans and with Daniel Levy overruling his new manager to sign an alternative instead.

The Red Devils are looking to rebuild their side after a disastrous 2024/25 season and bring in the players who can really help bring Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 formation to reality. While a deal for Matheus Cunha was soon agreed early in the summer window, talks have now accelerated over signing number two at Manchester United in the form of Mbeumo.

The Cameroon international is not short of suitors after a truly mesmerising season for Brentford in which he scored 20 goals and added another nine assists from 42 appearances – form which has attracted the likes of Arsenal and Newcastle.

However, Mbeumo quickly made clear his preference to join United and with the Bees making clear they are willing to sell, talks over a move have rapidly progressed.

But with United unable to yet strike on a deal after having an opening £45m, plus £10m in add-ons bid rejected, that has seemingly opened the door for a Tottenham transfer hijack – with that talk fuelled by Spurs’ agreement to bring in his Bees mentor Frank as the successor to Ange Postecoglou.

Despite that, journalist Ben Jacobs is adamant United remain in the driving seat and fully expects a move to go through to take Mbeumo to Old Trafford.

Jacobs told The United Stand: “Spurs, like other clubs, know of Bryan Mbeumo’s choice to join Man Utd. While you can never say never, it’s not expected that the expected arrival of Thomas Frank will influence this.”

Man Utd told four reasons why Mbeumo will sign as Spurs ‘overrule’ Frank

Indeed, despite an apparent demand for a package worth £250,000 a week, United are eager to close out a deal for Mbeumo as quickly as possible.

And while the Bees are aiming for a fee to match the £62.5m United paid for Cunha, a compromise deal will likely soon be reached.

Jacobs’ claims are also backed up by Laurie Whitwell, speaking to the Stretford Paddock’s YouTube channel, with The Athletic writer also confident a deal is there to be done for United and having explained exactly why the 25-year-old is pushing for a move to Old Trafford.

“He has a clear vision and can see how he fits into the system at United,” Whitwell began as he revealed four factors that have influenced the player’s decision.

“The stature of the place – and I know people have been upset about him choosing Man Utd when there is no European football on offer.

“But clearly, the raised profile you get from your own personal brand, let’s say, and also the opportunity to play in that stadium (Old Trafford), the pressure, the eyeballs that come with it, I think it (United) are still an appealing prospect to a lot of players.”

Per reports, Tottenham are also well aware of Mbeumo’s decision and despite Frank’s strong wish to link back up with his star man, a parting of ways does now seem inevitable and they will now be opponents instead next season.

And according to a report this week, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and technical director Johan Lange have actually been doing more work on bringing in Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo instead.

Per the report, 25-year-old Semenyo is expected to quit the Cherries in a deal worth around £70m this summer, and with the player himself favouring playing for a club in the Champions League, talks over a big-money deal have been progressing in recent weeks.

Bryan Mbeumo: Man Utd told deal 'will get done' as four reasons for picking United over Spurs are revealed

Journalist claims Mbeumo to Man Utd 'will get done' as four reasons for move are detailed - TEAMtalk
Description

Manchester United have been given renewed belief they will beat Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of Bryan Mbeumo, after an in-the-know journalist shared why the player has chosen Old Trafford and amid new claims of the astonishing salary offer the Red Devils are prepared to stump up.

The Red Devils have acted swiftly this summer to bring in Matheus Cunha in a £62.5m deal from Wolves. But while Mbeumo is their next target, Manchester United are hoping that, without a clause in his deal and with the winger’s contract at Brentford expiring next summer, a deal is there to be done for considerably less.

So far, United have seen one opening bid knocked back. But with talks resuming over a compromise – and amid claims the Bees are looking to secure up to £60m for the player – negotiations are continuing over a move to take Mbeumo to Old Trafford.

And The Athletic journalist, Laurie Whitwell, speaking to the Stretford Paddock’s YouTube channel, is confident a deal is there to be done for United.

“The first bid was £45m, plus £10m in add-ons… but I think Brentford want a fee more in line with what United paid for Cunha. They’ve looked at it and thought, this is what you’re paying for Cunha, Mbeumo also scores goals, so…” he began.

“So now we’re at a point where the clubs are deciding how much that is going to be. I think all the sides think that this will get done, but I don’t think it is imminent.

“I don’t believe anything is going to happen today (Tuesday, before the mini summer deadline), but my personal view is that it will get done eventually.”

Asked if there is anything in Thomas Frank going to Tottenham Hotspur could turn the player’s head, Whitwell added: “No, I don’t think so.

“I’m sure the player will have known the likelihood of what that was (Frank leaving for Spurs), but that was trailed as something for quite a while and if the player really felt he wanted it, he could have gone there.”

Picking out four reasons why Mbeumo wants the move to United above all others, Whitwell explained: “He has a clear vision and can see how he fits into the system at United.

Bryan Mbeumo: Huge salary offer set to convince star to join Man Utd

Our transfer correspondent, Fraser Fletcher, has always been adamant that the 22-times capped Cameroon international wanted United above any other suitor and is enticed by the challenge of helping the giants return to greatness.

After a season which resulted in the club finishing 15th , there is a feeling that the only way is up for Ruben Amorim and United.

And while United can’t offer European football, they do have the ability to out-manoeuvre Spurs on a financial front.

To that end, it was revealed that the north London side are offering a package worth £130,000 a week; an offer that is dwarfed by United, whom while not quite willing to meet his £13m a year salary demands – which breaks down to a whopping £250,000 a week – they have shown a desire to pay him a salary in the £150,000-£200,000-a-week range.

Given Whitwell’s take, and amid the financial situation, Tottenham would appear to stand very little chance of hijacking United’s move…

Man Utd transfer latest: Gyokeres miss fears; Osimhen swap talk

United, meanwhile, are in danger of missing out on Viktor Gyokeres altogether after Fabrizio Romano revealed the player had taken a “direct call” from a new big-name club, while a broken promise from Sporting CP further jeopardises Ruben Amorim’s hopes of a reunion at Old Trafford.

Elsewhere, Victor Osimhen will continue to reject Saudi Arabian approaches in favour of moving to the Premier League, and United are preparing a cash-plus-player offer they hope will tempt Napoli, according to a report.

On the outgoing front, Borussia Dortmund have ‘expressed their interest’ in signing Jadon Sancho – and an immediate positional change is reportedly on the cards when the 25-year-old makes the move.

Son Heung-min drops hint over Tottenham future as replacement signing already in works - TEAMtalk
Description

Tottenham Hotspur skipper Heung-min Son has broken his silence on his future in north London amid growing interest from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal.

The South Korean club legend saw the extra year option on his contract extended back in February, meaning he will be available to walk away on a free transfer at the end of the 2025/26 season.

And Son is one of a number of Premier League attacking players who have been approached by Saudi champions Al Hilal, including the likes of Liverpool duo Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez.

While they initially wanted a new high-profile signing on board for the Club World Cup, that deadline has now passed – although there remains a chance Son could still depart when the summer window re-opens.

The 32-year-old is known to be hugely disappointed at the club’s decision to axe trophy-winning boss Ange Postecoglou, prompting him to consider his future as a result.

And now, speaking on international duty, the Tottenham forward admitted that he now faces an uncertain future.

After his side’s 4-0 win over Kuwait, Son said: “I still have one more year left on the contract. Rather than saying anything at this moment, I think we should all wait and see what happens. But no matter where I end up, I will always do the best I can. It will never change.”

Meanwhile, Son also acknowledged his struggles to find his best form this past season, although victory in Europe helped gloss over a number of issues Spurs faced domestically.

He added: “I know people may say I had a disappointing year, but personally, this was a special season because you play football to win, and only winners are remembered.

“I wasn’t in my best form for most of the season, but hopefully, I will be in better condition going into the new season.”

New wingers on Tottenham’s radar

While the doubts continue over Son’s future, the fact that the club continue to be linked with wide players only adds fuel to the fire that he could leave after a decade in north London.

With a deal to announce Thomas Frank as Postecoglou’s successor close, links to Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo continue at pace – although Tottenham are facing a battle with Manchester United for the explosive Bees winger.

Meanwhile, a fresh report from Sky Sports states that Daniel Levy has already been laying the groundwork for a swoop for talented Bournemouth wide man Antoine Semenyo.

Indeed, the report claims that Levy and Spurs technical director Johan Lange favour a move for the Cherries star over Mbeumo, despite Frank wanting to bring the Brentford man across the capital with him.

Adding former sporting director Fabio Paratici back into the mix when he returns will also make for interesting viewing, in terms of which way Tottenham turn for their forward targets.

One thing is for sure though, if Son does leave it will be a sad day for the club after 454 appearances, 173 goals and a Europa League.

Tottenham transfer news: Frank overruled as Levy pushes for £70m signing

Levy already advanced with £70m Tottenham signing as Thomas Frank overruled on top target - TEAMtalk
Description

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy and technical director Johan Lange have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of a £70million attacking target, despite incoming new boss Thomas Frank preferring a reunion with Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo instead.

Spurs are reportedly in a race with Manchester United to snap up the latter in a £60m-plus deal, with the Red Devils already having a £55m offer for the Bees star rebuffed last week. Indeed, it remains Mbeumo’s wish to secure a switch to Old Trafford, with Frank’s imminent arrival at Tottenham fuelling rumours of a potential hijack.

Brentford are currently pushing for in excess of £60m for their talismanic attacker and the battle remains for his signature. However, a fresh report states that Levy and Lange have actually been doing more work on bringing in Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo instead.

Sky Sports News states that south coast attacker is actually the preferred choice of Tottenham‘s recruitment team, ahead of a move for Mbeumo – despite Frank’s obvious desire to bring the player with him to north London.

The report insists that with Levy and Lange calling the shots, along with advice from the returning Fabio Paratici, Frank may not get his wish after all.

Indeed, Sky Sports adds that Spurs are further along with a potential transfer for Semenyo than they are with Mbeumo, with the former having also been heavily tipped to join either United or Liverpool.

The 25-year-old Semenyo is expected to quit the Cherries in a deal worth around £70m this summer, while the player himself favours playing for a club in the Champions League – a decision that rules United out of the running.

DON’T MISS ➡️ All the done deals by Premier League clubs in the summer 2025 transfer window

Where Semenyo fits in at Tottenham

Semenyo scored 13 goals and provided seven assists in 42 appearances in all competitions this past season as Andoni Iraola’s men finished a hugely respectable ninth in the Premier League table.

His ability to play in multiple different forward positions is one thing that particularly stands out about the Gahan international, who split his appearances evenly between the left and right-wing during the 2024/25 campaign.

At Tottenham, he could be a straight swap for skipper Son Heung-min, who is known to be upset at the decision to sack Ange Postecoglou and continues to be linked with a summer exit.

Alternatively, Semenyo could operate on the right in place of Brennan Johnson, despite the Wales international finishing the season as the club’s top scorer while also being the goalscoring hero in the Europa League win.

While Johnson’s 2024/25 stats stood out, the former Nottingham Forest star’s all-round displays often left a lot to be desired and he drew frustration from Spurs fans as a result.

Semenyo would now doubt an electric addition to the Tottenham attack and is known for his speed, dribbling ability and clinical finishing.

While his left foot is his strongest, Semenyo is also equally adept with his right and would give Frank and adaptable forward presence in his front three – even if he’s not the Dane’s first-choice signing option.

Revealed: What Thomas Frank has told Tottenham about permanent Mathys Tel deal - TEAMtalk
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on making Mathys Tel’s loan deal permanent after Thomas Frank’s request, sources have told TEAMtalk, as we reveal the Bayern Munich-owned forward’s stance on extending his stay at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

While Tottenham were dire in the Premier League last season, they will play in the Champions League in the 2025/26 campaign after winning the Europa League. A narrow 1-0 win against Manchester United in the final saw Spurs qualify for Europe’s premier club competition.

It was Tottenham’s first major silverware in 17 years, but that was still not enough for Ange Postecoglou to keep his job, with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy deciding to sack him.

TEAMtalk understands that Tottenham are now close to hiring Brentford boss Frank as their new manager.

Frank is already making it known to the Tottenham hierarchy the players that he would like to sign.

Sources have told TEAMtalk that Frank has made it clear that Tel is someone he would be keen to work with.

Tel has showcased his versatility and flair, with his pace, technical ability, and knack for finding space in the final third endearing him to Tottenham fans and coaching staff alike.

Frank views Tel as a good fit for his high-pressing and dynamic system, and values the youngster’s work rate and adaptability.

Tottenham players also rate Tel highly, with James Maddison telling The London Evening Standard in April that he is a “very direct player” who has “done well”.

Frank has told Tottenham that Tel’s permanent signing would bolster Spurs’ attacking options as they aim for a top-four finish in the Premier League next season.

Tottenham signed the 20-year-old French forward on loan from Bayern in the winter transfer window.

Spurs hold a £45million option to make Tel’s loan deal permanent this summer, with sources telling TEAMtalk that negotiations are set to get underway to potentially lower the fee in the coming weeks.

Mathys Tel stance on Tottenham stay – sources

With Tottenham looking at intensifying efforts to secure a permanent transfer for Tel and keen on finalising a deal, the north London club will be encouraged by the youngster’s stance on continuing to play for them.

Sources have told TEAMtalk that Tel himself is enthusiastic about staying at Tottenham, drawn by the club’s ambitious project and the fact he has enjoyed his time in London and at the club.

Despite interest from other Premier League teams, Tel’s desire to continue his development under Frank’s guidance strengthens Spurs’ position.

However, Bayern’s stance remains a hurdle. The Bundesliga champions are open to a sale but will drive a hard bargain, with Spurs hoping to negotiate the £45million option down to a more favourable figure.

Tottenham chairman Levy, known for his shrewd transfer dealings, will hope that fee comes down, aiming to capitalise on Tel’s settled status in London.

As the transfer window approaches, securing Tel’s signature could be a statement of intent from Spurs, signalling their commitment to building a squad capable of challenging for Champions League places under Frank’s leadership.

Latest Tottenham news: Everton raid, Bryan Mbeumo alternative

Tottenham Hotspur are considering a bold move for Jarrad Branthwaite, sources have told TEAMtalk, as we reveal Everton’s stance on a potential sale of their star defender.

Branthwaite has been on the books of Everton since 2020 and has established himself as one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League. The 22-year-old has also earned one England cap and has a bright future ahead of him.

Sources have told TEAMtalk that Tottenham are ‘huge fans’ of Branthwaite and are keen on signing him from Premier League rivals Everton in the summer transfer window.

With Thomas Frank on the brink of finalising an agreement to become the new Spurs boss, the north London club are eager to bolster their defensive line – and Branthwaite has emerged as a prime target.

Branthwaite, who was voted Everton’s Young Player of the Season for the 2024/25 campaign, has been a standout performer, drawing interest from multiple Premier League giants, including Chelsea and Manchester United.

The 22-year-old England international centre-back’s composure, aerial dominance, and ability to play out from the back make him an ideal fit for Frank’s tactical vision.

Frank, who is set to become the new Tottenham manager following the departure of Ange Postecoglou, is known for building teams from a solid defensive foundation, as evidenced during his successful tenure at Brentford.

Frank sees Branthwaite as a cornerstone for Tottenham’s ambitions to compete for Champions League football.

DON’T MISS ⭐ Mbeumo ‘priority’ between Man Utd and Tottenham revealed as Frank agrees terms

Everton stance on Jarrad Branthwaite future – sources

Tottenham may be keen on a summer deal for Branthwaite, but they will not find it easy to convince Everton to sell their prized asset.

Sources have told TEAMtalk that Everton will do all they can to keep Branthwaite and have no intention whatsoever of selling the centre-back.

The Merseyside club have set a firm £70million price-tag on the defender, signalling they will not entertain negotiations unless this benchmark is met.

TEAMtalk understands that Branthwaite is keen to test himself at the highest level, with Tottenham’s Champions League prospects and state of the art set up appealing.

However, Everton’s new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock and their promising outlook under David Moyes’ second stint have also captured his imagination.

Everton are keen to build on their excellent second half of last season and have no intention of losing key players, with Moyes making it clear that he wants Branthwaite for next season.

Sources suggest Branthwaite is content at Goodison Park and will not force a move, especially with Everton holding firm and in contract talks to secure his long-term future.

Tottenham’s pursuit could hinge on their willingness to meet Everton’s £70 million valuation, a figure that would test chairman Daniel Levy’s notoriously prudent approach to transfers.

As Frank looks to stamp his mark on the squad, a statement signing like Branthwaite could signal Spurs’ intent to challenge next season.

Thomas Frank: Next Tottenham manager confirmed by Romano with HUGE double raid targeted

Thomas Frank to Tottenham gets Romano 'Here we go' with SEVEN tipped to follow from Brentford - TEAMtalk
Description

Thomas Frank will be confirmed as the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur with a full agreement reached over his appointment, Fabrizio Romano has revealed – and with the Dane tipped to kick off his reign in north London with an outstanding double deal.

The 51-year-old had quickly been selected by chairman Daniel Levy and technical director Johan Lange as the club’s number one choice to succeed Ange Postecoglou, who was axed despite ending Tottenham‘s long 17-year trophy drought with success in the Europa League. While the Aussie wrote his name in the Spurs history books, their dismal league campaign in suffering 22 defeats and finishing 17th, ultimately saw him pay the price.

Stepping into his shoes will be Frank, who has earned serious plaudits for the work he has done at Brentford. Earning them promotion to the Championship, he has secured their status as a solid Premier League side, consistently achieving mid-table finishes.

But with Frank ready for a new challenge, Spurs have quickly made a beeline for him. And while our transfer correspondent Fraser Fletcher first revealed he was on their radar as far back as December, it has taken the north London side a little less than a few days to wrap up his signature.

Having agreed to meet the compensation clause in his contract – understood to be £10m – Frank now has a full agreement with Tottenham to move to N17 and become their new head coach.

Confirming the imminent arrival in a post on X, Romano stated: ‘Thomas Frank will become new Spurs head coach, here we go! Agreement done with the manager on contract terms and staff, Brentford set to release Frank for fee in the region of £10m. He’s the replacement for Ange Postecoglou.’

As Romano touches upon, a deal has also been struck for his staff to move with him and he is expected to be joined at Spurs by Bees coaches Kevin O’Connor, Justin Cochrane and Claus Norgaard, goalkeeping coach Manu Sotelo and set-piece coach Keith Andrews.

But they might not be the only figures to move across London and follow Frank to Spurs, with big-money moves also tipped for both Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa.

DON’T MISS ⭐ Mbeumo ‘priority’ between Man Utd and Tottenham revealed as Frank agrees terms

Frank tipped to sign Mbeumo and Wissa for Spurs

Of course, Spurs would have to see off the challenge from Manchester United to sign Mbeumo, with the Cameroon forward already having given the go-ahead over a move to Old Trafford.

And while Spurs have also made contact, they do hold two added advantages over their Premier League rivals that could help swing the deal their way.

However, sources have stated Mbeumo’s priority remains on signing for United and it would take a dramatic U-turn from the player, or a failure on the Red Devils’ behalf to strike a deal, for a move to Spurs to come about instead.

Nonetheless, former Newcastle manager Alan Pardew, in his role as a pundit on talkSPORT, is convinced Frank will pull out all the stops to try and convince Mbeumo to change his mind.

Furthermore, Pardew also reckons a double raid on Brentford could be on, with Mbeumo’s attacking partner Wissa also in his sights.

“I’m 100 per cent sure [Frank will want Mbeumo at Spurs]. I’m sure he’s tipping him off and saying, ‘just hold your horses a little bit’.

“Wissa is again another prime target and would fit well if he were to move to Spurs. So I think both of those would be in the equation.”

Tottenham transfer latest: Mbeumo alternative eyed; Salzburg star tracked

Despite the obvious interest in Mbeumo, a report on Monday has revealed Frank has urged Tottenham to target a top-class alternative from elsewhere in the Premier League should a move for the Brentford talisman fail.

However, the player in question would likely cost a bit more than, owing to a £68m release clause in his contract that expires around mid-August.

To free up space for either in their squad, Tottenham could also bid farewell to legendary forward and current club captain Son Heung-min, with a strong report suggesting he could quit this summer and having named his likely next destination.

Meanwhile, our reporter Rudy Galetti has confirmed Tottenham are one of five clubs keen on a deal for an explosive RB Salzburg star.

‘World-class’ winger ‘wants’ to join Arsenal after Mikel Arteta talks - TEAMtalk
Description

Arsenal have received a positive response from a former Manchester City star that Mikel Arteta wants to bring to the Emirates Stadium, according to a report, but Jamie O’Hara wants him to join Tottenham Hotspur instead.

While the 2024/25 campaign started promisingly for Arsenal, it ended in bitter disappointment as Arteta’s side could not win a major trophy. The Gunners failed to last the distance in the Premier League title race and could not trouble Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals of the Champions League despite beating Real Madrid over two legs in the previous round.

Arsenal, though, are determined to make it a very successful 2025/26 campaign and are working hard behind the scenes to make quality additions to their squad in the summer transfer window.

Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi and RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko are two of Arsenal’s top targets this summer.

According to CaughtOffSide, former Man City winger Leroy Sane is also an active target for Arsenal.

The report has revealed that Arsenal have already made a written offer to the 29-year-old Germany international winger, who is out of contract at Bayern Munich at the end of this month.

CaughtoffSide has noted that Sane, who was described as “a world-class player” by Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann in November 2024, ‘wants to become an Arsenal player’ and has already ‘spoken with’ with Gunners manager Mikel Arteta.

However, Sane wants more money from Arsenal than he has been offered, with a source telling the news outlet that Turkish duo Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are keen on him as well.

The source told CaughtOffSide: “He (Sane) currently has four written offers. The highest is from Fenerbahce, followed by Bayern Munich contract extension, and then Galatasaray, and lastly Arsenal.

“His preference is Arsenal but he wants up to offer more in wages. His first wish in making his decision is Champions League football and that’s why he has not told Fenerbahce yes because they play Champions League qualifiers.”

‘The source added that if Arsenal up their offer, Sane will most likely become an Arsenal player this summer’, states the report.

Sane won the Premier League twice, the FA Cup once and the EFL Cup on three occasions with Man City.

The winger has clinched the Bundesliga title four times and the FIFA Club World Cup once with Bayern.

Tottenham Hotspur told to sign Leroy Sane

While Sane would love to return to the Premier League and play for Arsenal, O’Hara wants to see the former Man City winger at Tottenham.

The former Tottenham player and talkSPORT believes that Sane would be the perfect replacement for Son Heung-min at the north London club, who will play in the Champions League next season after winning the Europa League.

Metro quotes O’Hara as saying: “I’d love Leroy Sane to sign for Spurs.

“He’s a world class player who has won everything. Why would you not want him at your football club?

“He might’ve picked up a few injuries in his career, but you can’t tell me he wouldn’t be a great signing for Spurs – even if he demands up to £250,000 a week.

“There’s so many areas where Tottenham need to improve. I’d say the highest priority position for Spurs is a left-winger.

“I don’t think Son Heung-min can affect a game like he used to; I think he’s on his way out and I’d let him go.

“The backup players to that position aren’t great either. Wilson Odobert hasn’t been too convincing from what I’ve seen of him so far.

“Spurs will be playing Champions League football next season, which gives them a huge opportunity to spend money, recruit well and stay in the Champions League.

“They’ve somehow clinched European football after finishing 17th in the league – Daniel Levy has to capitalise on this chance.”

Man Utd target ANOTHER ‘clinical’ £65m winger amid Bryan Mbeumo ‘preference’ - TEAMtalk
Description

Manchester United remain keen on a Bournemouth star despite stepping up their efforts to bring Bryan Mbeumo to Old Trafford, according to a report, as the in-demand star’s stance on his future is revealed.

The 2024/25 campaign was hugely disappointing for Man Utd. The Red Devils ended up as low as 15th in the Premier League table, and although they reached the final of the Europa League, they lost it to Tottenham Hotspur.

Man Utd, though, are determined to make a bigger impact next season and finish in the Champions League places in the Premier League table.

The Red Devils have already signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves, with Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim planning to play the Brazilian star as one of his two number 10s.

TEAMtalk’s transfer correspondent, Fraser Fletcher, has reported that Man Utd are also in talks to sign Mbeumo from Brentford in the summer transfer window.

Man Utd have had a bid for the Cameroon international winger already turned down and are planning to make a new and improved offer.

Sky Sports have claimed that despite Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Mbeumo, the Brentford winger ‘wants to join’ Man Utd.

However, the Red Devils are not putting all their eggs in one basket, with the Premier League giants retaining their interest in Antoine Semenyo.

TEAMtalk’s transfer correspondent, Fraser Fletcher, reported on May 19 that Man Utd were in talks with Semenyo’s camp.

Sources have told TEAMtalk that Bournemouth want £65m for the 25-year-old Ghana international winger, who was described as “aggressive” and “clinical” by his team-mate Lewis Cook on BBC Sport in October 2024.

Sky Sports have brought an update on the situation, claiming that despite having Mbeumo as a ‘priority target’, Man Utd ‘also remain keen on Semenyo’.

Amorim’s side view the winger as a potential alternative to Mbeumo if they are unable to bring the Brentford star to Old Trafford.

Antoine Semenyo stance on Man Utd move – report

According to Sky Sports, Man Utd’s Premier League rivals, Tottenham and Liverpool, are also interested in a summer deal for Semenyo.

Tottenham are reported to have ‘stepped up their interest’ in Semenyo and have ‘recently done more work on’ the Bournemouth ace than on Mbeumo.

Sky Sports have reported that although Semenyo is in favour of a move to a club playing in the Champions League, he has not ruled out a move to Man Utd yet.

Semenyo scored 13 goals and gave seven assists in 42 appearances for Bournemouth last season and played on either flank.
