Two Tottenham stars targeted by Juventus in SWAP proposal as De Zerbi eyes 154-goal striker - TEAMtalk
Description

Italian giants Juventus are reportedly keen on landing two Tottenham Hotspur stars in return for long-term Spurs target Jonathan David this summer, in a deal that could end up suiting all parties.

Fixing Tottenham’s under-performing frontline is expected to be one of Roberto De Zerbi’s main priorities this summer, with at least two new wingers and potentially two new strikers expected in north London over the coming months.

One of those wingers, Manchester City star Savinho, has already agreed to a £50million Tottenham switch, as per our insider Fraser Fletcher, while Eintracht Frankfurt’s Jean-Matteo Bahoya is also on the club’s radar, along with Fulham free agent Harry Wilson.

On the striker front, Spurs are expected to part ways with the inconsistent Richarlison, who finished the season as the club’s top scorer with 12 goals in all competitions.

Dominic Solanke’s future could also be in doubt as he continues to spend more time on the treatment table than the pitch, despite having zero injury issues during his time at previous club Bournemouth.

Highly-rated young forward Will Lankshear is expected to be promoted to the first-team squad this summer, having made a huge impression in the Championship with Oxford United this season. However, adding more goals to the forward ranks is a must for a Tottenham side who notched just 48 times in 38 Premier League outings this term.

And one player the club have had their eyes on for a number of years is Canada international David.

While the 26-year-old struggled to make a mark in Turin this season, scoring just six goals and adding four assists in 35 Serie A games, he does have an impressive overall record in front of goal.

Indeed, in 362 career appearances, David has chalked up 154 goals, with 109 of those strikes coming during his impressive stint in France with Lille.

Despite not being the biggest, standing at 5ft 10in, his movement and elite penalty-box poaching would be a major asset to a Tottenham side who have been found wanting in front of goal since Harry Kane’s departure two years ago.

And, according to Italian outlet TuttoJuve, the Serie A side are willing to part ways with David and have eyes on two north London stars in a proposed swap deal.

Juventus keen on Vicario, Udogie in David swap proposal

Indeed, the Bianconeri are ready to offer David to Spurs, as long as they get goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and left-back Destiny Udogie in return.

Juve are currently desperate to bring in a new stopper and are ready to jump on Vicario’s desire to return to his homeland after a poor season in England, although Inter Milan may still have something to say about that, as per our sources.

The Italy international will be made available for transfer after Antonin Kinsky was preferred at the end of the season, even after Vicario had returned from hernia surgery, with Tottenham expected to sign another experienced stopper to compete with the young Czech star.

As for Udogie, Juve are keen on signing the Italy left-back as a potential replacement for Andrea Cambiaso, who continues to be heavily linked with the likes of Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal.

Udogie’s stint at Tottenham has been blighted by injury issues, with the talented 23-year-old only ever able to chalk up a handful of successive appearances before finding himself back on the sidelines.

To that end, it makes sense for the club to try and cash in on a player who probably needs a change of scenery to rebuild his career.

However, David, who is also a target for Newcastle United this summer, is now valued at considerably less than the combined fees Tottenham could get for Vicario and Udogie.

To that end, Spurs could work on moving Vicario to Juve as part of a deal for David and still keep Udogie on board, if that is what De Zerbi wants going forward.

Either way, Tottenham are set for a busy summer under the Italian as they look to revamp a squad that has finished 17th in back-to-back Premier League campaigns.

Arne Slot on Fulham shortlist as Man Utd, Tottenham flops also emerge in new manager hunt - TEAMtalk
Description

Fulham have begun work on identifying Marco Silva’s successor and are preparing to open talks with a number of managerial targets, including Ruben Amorim, Thomas Frank and Arne Slot, TEAMtalk can exclusively reveal.

The Cottagers were informed this week that Silva intends to leave the club when his contract expires this summer, with the Portuguese coach now set to take charge of Benfica.

While Silva’s departure will mark the end of a successful spell at Craven Cottage, sources have told us that Fulham‘s hierarchy have been planning for this possibility for some time and are already assessing a number of high-profile candidates.

Among the names under serious consideration are three managers who have recently left some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.

We understand that former Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is firmly on Fulham’s radar following his departure from Old Trafford.

Likewise, Thomas Frank is being considered after being relieved of his duties at Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the year, while Arne Slot has also emerged as a potential option after Liverpool opted to part ways with the Dutchman last week.

All three are admired internally and are viewed as coaches capable of building on the foundations Silva leaves behind.

Fulham are expected to hold discussions over the coming days as they look to establish which candidates could be realistically persuaded to take over in west London.

The club believe their stability, Premier League status and ambitious ownership make the role an attractive proposition despite competition from elsewhere.

Promoted duo also on Fulham radar

However, Fulham’s search is not limited to managers currently out of work.

We cam also confirm that Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna is among the names being monitored.

McKenna has enhanced his reputation significantly in recent seasons and remains highly regarded across the Premier League for the work he has carried out at Portman Road – although of significant interest, he also has a sizeable release clause.

Another candidate under consideration, albeit difficult to pull off, is Coventry City manager Frank Lampard.

The former Chelsea and Everton boss has rebuilt his standing in management during his time with Coventry and is viewed as a coach capable of continuing Fulham’s progressive style of play.

At this stage, no final decision has been made, and Fulham are expected to speak with multiple candidates before narrowing down their options.

Sources indicate the club are keen to move swiftly, however, with preparations for next season already underway and recruitment plans needing clarity.

Tottenham news: Stunning signing ON as Ornstein reveals 'active talks' despite initial bid rejection

Tottenham closing in on trio of defensive signings after fresh Ornstein update - TEAMtalk
Description

Tottenham Hotspur look to be closing in on a deal for highly-rated Brighton centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke, despite their initial bid for the player being rejected, as per reputed transfer insider David Ornstein.

It’s no secret that Spurs are on the hunt for more defensive recruits after their struggles at the back over the past two seasons, with a whopping 122 goals conceded in 76 Premier League games.

With sources revealing how skipper Cristian Romero is still actively pushing for an exit, amid continued interest from Atletico Madrid, and doubts continuing over the future of Micky van de Ven, bringing in two new central defenders for Roberto De Zerbi has become a major priority for Tottenham.

While things have gone a little quiet on the Marcos Senesi front, the former Bournemouth star is expected to sign on a free to add to De Zerbi’s defensive ranks, alongside Liverpool legend Andy Robertson.

But Ornstein has now delivered a concrete update on the club’s interest in Van Hecke, with our insider Graeme Bailey revealing on Wednesday (June 3) that Tottenham are actually plotting a double raid on the Seagulls.

The Athletic‘s Ornstein revealed on X that Spurs have made an offer for the Netherlands international, and while their valuation fell below what Brighton are asking for, ‘negotiations remain active’ as a deal is expected to be done.

De Zerbi is a big fan of the player from his time on the south coast, with the pair having worked closely together during the Italian coach’s successful spell at Brighton between 2022 and 2024.

Indeed, Van Hecke flourished under De Zerbi’s possession-based, progressive approach and is well aware of the demands needed to play under the current Tottenham chief.

And, with the player’s contract running out in the summer of 2027, The Athletic adds that Van Hecke is ‘among the players viewed internally as potential candidates for a major transfer this summer’.

Van Hecke a natural Romero replacement at Tottenham

Since arriving at Brighton from NAC Breda in 2020, Van Hecke honed his qualities during loan spells at Heerenveen and Blackburn Rovers before eventually becoming a first-team regular with the Seagulls.

The 25-year-old has gone on to make 131 appearances for Brighton, including 106 in the Premier League, and started 36 games league outings last season, with only two missed through injury.

That sort of durability is increasingly valuable, especially for a Spurs side that has been beset by injury issues over the past two campaigns.

Van Hecke would also be a natural swap for Romero in the right-sided central defensive spot, lining up alongside either Van de Ven or Senesi, depending on what happens with the former this summer. He also has the ability to play in a back three, should De Zerbi opt to change his formation up.

And former Tottenham midfielder Sandro believes the Netherlands star, who could be a starter for his country at this summer’s World Cup in North America, is a perfect in north London.

Sandro, who played for De Zerbi in Italy, said: “They are talking about Marcos Senesi, at Bournemouth, but I really like the defender from Brighton, Van Hecke.

“For me, Van Hecke is ready. He’s ready to play because he played under De Zerbi and he showed that he can play in the moment, that he’s mature, and we need players that are already mature.”

While there is plenty of focus on improving a poor Tottenham defence, that does not mean the attack is being ignored, with De Zerbi also looking to revamp his frontline.

Chelsea reach decision over free transfer signing of 136-goal striker as big announcement sparks scramble - TEAMtalk
Description

Dusan Vlahovic is set to become one of the most sought-after free agents in world football this summer, with sources confirming to TEAMtalk that Chelsea have already been in contact with the striker’s representatives – though they are far from the only side keen on a deal.

Sources have confirmed that several English clubs have spoken with Vlahovic‘s camp this week after being informed that the Serbia international will be leaving Juventus when his contract expires at the end of the month.

An announcement on Wednesday, brought an end to months of speculation surrounding the striker’s future.

For much of the past year, the expectation within football had been that Vlahovic would eventually commit his future to Juventus. At various stages, a new contract appeared close, with negotiations progressing positively between the two parties.

However, despite repeated efforts, Juventus and Vlahovic have ultimately failed to reach an agreement, paving the way for his departure from Turin after four and a half seasons and opening the door to a fierce battle for his signature.

TEAMtalk understands that Chelsea are among the clubs best positioned to take advantage and are very much keen on a deal for the striker who boasts an impressive 136 senior career goals for club and country.

The Blues have been tracking Vlahovic for several years and have maintained contact over his situation throughout his time in Italy.

Now, with Chelsea actively searching for a new No.9 and one of Europe’s most proven goalscorers available on a free transfer, sources believe the stars could be aligning for BlueCo to make a serious move.

Chelsea’s admiration for the 26-year-old remains strong, and his availability has inevitably placed him firmly on their radar.

However, they are far from alone, and the Blues may need to act fast to get a deal over the line, with strong competition emerging from several Premier League rivals…

ICYMI: ‘There is a deal’ – Real Madrid strike ‘agreement’ for £120m Chelsea star as fourth Mourinho signing

Chelsea face Man Utd, Spurs battle for Vlahovic signing

TEAMtalk can reveal that Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Everton have also been approached regarding the striker’s situation, though none are as far along or as advanced as Chelsea at this moment in time.

All suitors are now assessing whether a deal could be possible, with Vlahovic’s free-agent status making him an attractive proposition despite the significant salary package likely to be required.

Intermediaries are currently working across Europe to gauge interest and identify the most suitable destination for the former Fiorentina star.

There is also interest from the Saudi Pro League, with clubs in the Middle East keen to explore the possibility of signing one of the biggest names available this summer.

At present, though, sources indicate Vlahovic would prefer to continue competing at the highest level in Europe.

While talks have taken place with several Serie A clubs, it is understood the striker is attracted by the prospect of testing himself outside Italy for the first time in his career. LaLiga and a move to Spain could also emerge as a serious option for the 26-year-old Serbian.

TEAMtalk understands Atletico Madrid are among the clubs showing strong interest as they assess contingency plans surrounding Julian Alvarez’s future.

The Argentina international continues to be linked to Barcelona, having made his transfer feelings clear on a possible move, and Atletico are fully aware they are likely to need to enter the market for a marquee attacking replacement should he depart.

As a result, Vlahovic is viewed as a player capable of leading the line immediately. With Premier League giants circling, Atletico Madrid monitoring developments and interest building across Europe, a genuine race for Vlahovic’s signature is now underway.

With regard to the Chelsea attack, Marcel Desailly told TEAMtalk in an exclusive interview which three stars he would like new manager Xabi Alonso to build his side around.

Tottenham nearing £50m winger coup and Xavi Simons drops huge clue it’s deal done

Tottenham nearing £50m winger coup and Xavi Simons drops huge clue it’s deal done - TEAMtalk
Description

Tottenham can sign a winger for £50m – which is roughly £20m less than they were willing to pay last year – and the rapidly advancing deal clearly has Xavi Simons’ approval.

Since the departure of Son Heung-min and long-term injury sustained by Dejan Kulusevski, Tottenham have got very little change out of their plethora of wide options.

Most like Richarlison, Mathys Tel, Wilson Odobert and Mohammed Kudus have essentially proven ineffective, and with a pair of defensive deals (Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi) fully agreed, it’s time to address the wing positions.

Tottenham twice bid for Man City’s Savinho last summer. The biggest offered totalled €80m / approximately £70m, according to reports at that time.

Man City refused to play ball after failing to sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid as his replacement. But one year on, they’ve now given the green light to Savinho’s sale.

That is wonderful news for Spurs who are determined to bank the Brazilian at the second time of asking.

What’s more, Savinho has said yes to joining Spurs, with our insider, Fraser Fletcher, detailing Roberto De Zerbi’s impact in that regard.

He wrote on June 2: ‘The winger’s representatives have made it known that he is keen on the project under manager Roberto De Zerbi, who has revitalised Spurs following their battle against relegation.

‘De Zerbi is having a significant impact on the desire of players to join Spurs and play under him.’

£50m for Savinho / Xavi Simons’ big hint

Personal terms won’t be an issue, and according to a recent report in Brazil, Spurs won’t have to pay what they offered last year.

It’s been claimed Man City are ready to sign off on the sale if Tottenham bid £60m. TEAMtalk has been informed a deal can actually be struck for an even more modest £50m.

In any case, what is clear is Spurs can complete the left-footer’s signing without having to break their transfer record. Their current most expensive buy remains Dominic Solanke (£65m add-ons included).

We can confirm club-to-club talks are advancing, with Spurs chiefs making what we’ve been told is ‘significant progress’ in discussions with their counterparts at City.

And if a recent social media post from Xavi Simons is anything to go by, Savinho will complete the switch to north London in due course.

Simons shared a picture of he and Savinho posing together during the 2022/23 campaign which they both spent at PSV Eindhoven. The post can be viewed here.

Tottenham news: De Zerbi readies outstanding DOUBLE Brighton raid as ENIC back bold transfer plan

Tottenham plot DOUBLE raid on Brighton as De Zerbi also considers £80m-rated midfield boss - TEAMtalk
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to test Brighton and Hove Albion’s resolve as they weigh up moves for Dutch duo Bart Verbruggen and Jan Paul van Hecke this summer, while a shock third raid is also under consideration, TEAMtalk sources confirm.

Spurs are gearing up for a pivotal transfer window as they look to back head coach Roberto De Zerbi following his arrival in March.

The Italian kept his promise by steering Tottenham to Premier League safety, and the club’s hierarchy are now preparing to honour theirs by delivering the squad he believes can drive Spurs forward.

As TEAMtalk has previously revealed, Marcos Senesi and Andrew Robertson are both set to arrive on free transfers, with agreements already in place.

However, those deals represent only the beginning of what is expected to be a major squad overhaul. Sources have told TEAMtalk that Tottenham are now exploring moves for Brighton goalkeeper Verbruggen and centre-back Van Hecke, two players De Zerbi knows well from his time on the South Coast.

Importantly, Spurs’ interest predates De Zerbi’s appointment. The North London club had already conducted extensive work on both Dutch internationals and were firmly in the market for them before the Italian’s arrival.

However, De Zerbi’s admiration for the pair has only strengthened Tottenham’s desire to pursue a double deal.

Brighton to demand big fees for Tottenham targets

The big question is whether Spurs can meet Brighton’s valuation of both players.

The Seagulls are under no pressure to sell Verbruggen or Van Hecke and are expected to demand substantial fees should formal approaches arrive.

Nevertheless, Tottenham believe there could be an opportunity to strike.

Defensive reinforcements are becoming increasingly important as the club assesses several possible departures.

TEAMtalk understands Spurs are looking to cash in on captain Cristian Romero while his value remains high, while they are also unable to completely rule out the possibility of Micky van de Ven leaving should a major offer arrive.

Even with Senesi arriving and highly-rated Croatian youngster Luka Vuskovic potentially returning to the first-team picture following his successful loan with , Tottenham are actively planning for further additions at centre-back.

That makes Van Hecke a natural target.

The Netherlands international has established himself as one of the Premier League’s most consistent defenders and is viewed internally as a player capable of becoming a cornerstone of Tottenham’s defence for years to come.

The goalkeeping department is also set for change. Spurs have already agreed to allow Guglielmo Vicario to return to Italy this summer, creating a vacancy between the posts.

Antonin Kinsky impressed after finishing the season as first choice, but sources say De Zerbi wants a new long-term No.1 and Verbruggen is regarded as the ideal candidate.

The Brighton stopper has attracted interest from a number of leading clubs across Europe, but Tottenham remain firmly in the conversation.

Want more breaking news and transfer lines from original sources? Add TEAMtalk as a preferred source on Google to your favourites list for news you can trust.

Carlos Baleba also on Spurs radar

TEAMtalk can also confirm that Spurs are keeping a close eye on Carlos Baleba‘s situation at Brighton.

The £80m-rated midfielder has long been admired by Tottenham and could emerge as a serious target should his anticipated move to Manchester United fail to materialise.

United remain interested in Baleba, but there has yet to be a breakthrough in their pursuit, leaving the door open for rival clubs to position themselves.

Tottenham’s midfield plans are also linked to Joao Palhinha, with the club still awaiting a final decision from the Portugal international over a permanent move following his successful loan spell from Bayern Munich.

Should Palhinha opt against staying in north London, Baleba is viewed as one of the standout alternatives available in the Premier League market and another player capable of fitting seamlessly into De Zerbi’s plans.

Indeed, TEAMtalk understands there is confidence within Spurs that Verbruggen and Van Hecke would both be open to a move to North London despite the club’s absence from the Champions League.

With De Zerbi driving recruitment plans and Tottenham preparing for one of their biggest rebuilds in years, Brighton’s Dutch stars have emerged as two of the club’s leading targets.

And with Baleba also firmly on the radar, Spurs’ admiration for Brighton’s squad runs deep as they look to accelerate their rebuild ahead of the new campaign.

Tottenham accelerate £50m Man City raid as star says YES again to blockbuster switch - TEAMtalk
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are making significant progress in their efforts to sign Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City this summer, with TEAMtalk sources indicating the player is eager to complete the move to north London.

The 22-year-old, who joined City from sister club Troyes in 2024, has struggled for regular first-team opportunities at the Etihad Stadium.

After an impressive loan spell in Spain, where he contributed 11 goals and 10 assists for Girona in 2023/24, Savinho has found minutes hard to come by in the Premier League. Indeed, he

This lack of game time has prompted the talented attacker to seek a fresh challenge where he can showcase his pace, dribbling ability, and flair on a consistent basis.

Spurs have long admired the São Mateus-born star. In January, they explored a potential deal, but negotiations stalled as City were unwilling to part ways with the player mid-season.

Savinho himself expressed a desire to move at that time, prioritising regular football over remaining on the fringes of Pep Guardiola’s squad. With the summer transfer window now open and City’s stance having softened, Spurs are confident of securing a deal at a reasonable fee.

Talks between the two clubs remain at an early stage, but Tottenham officials are optimistic. They believe Savinho’s clear preference for a switch to London will help move negotiations.

Savinho ready to make Spurs switch

The winger’s representatives have made it known that he is keen on the project under manager Roberto De Zerbi, who has revitalised Spurs following their battle against relegation.

De Zerbi is having a significant impact on the desire of players to join Spurs and play under him.

For Tottenham, landing Savinho would represent a shrewd addition to their attacking options.

His versatility on either flank would provide depth and creativity, complementing existing forwards and injecting youthful dynamism into the side.

At 22, he represents both immediate impact and long-term potential, aligning with the club’s strategy of investing in high-upside talents and building a squad capable of competing in the top eight next season.

City, meanwhile, appear open to a sale after assessing their squad options. While no official bid has yet been tabled, early indications suggest a fee in the region of £50million could be sufficient to tempt them, especially given Savinho’s contract runs until 2031 but his playing time remains uncertain.

Spurs fans will be watching developments closely as the club looks to build on their survival and push for a stronger campaign next season.

If the deal materialises, it could mark one of the more exciting arrivals of the window, reuniting Savinho with the regular football he craves and giving Tottenham another signing to help them turn the club around and get back to where they belong.

Marcus Rashford reaches decision on joining Tottenham from Man Utd as Sir Jim Ratcliffe gets ‘desperate’ - TEAMtalk
Description

Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford does not fancy a move to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, according to a report, as Red Devils legend Paul Scholes explains why the England international should move to Arsenal and work under Mikel Arteta.

Rashford’s loan spell at Barcelona has come to an end, with the Man Utd winger preparing to star for England at the upcoming 2026 World Cup finals.

Barcelona have until June 15 to trigger the buy-option of £26million in Rashford’s loan deal.

However, The Times and The Daily Mail have reported that Barcelona are willing to pay only half of that (£13m) to make Rashford’s loan deal permanent.

TEAMtalk’s transfer insider, Graeme Bailey, has reported that Rashford wants to stay at Barcelona, with Man Utd also ready to sever their ties with the forward for good this summer.

However, Man Utd want Barcelona to pay £26m and will not accept anything less or even another loan deal.

The Mirror has reported that Man Utd co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is ‘desperate to get’ Rashford ‘off the club’s wage bill’.

Rashford is on £325,000 per week at Man Utd, who will play in the Champions League next season under manager Michael Carrick.

The winger has no plans to play for Man Utd again, with Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Chelsea interested in him.

The i Paper has also credited Tottenham and Newcastle with interest in Rashford, adding that Aston Villa and Bayern Munich, too, are monitoring the situation of the 28-year-old.

However, according to The Mirror, Rashford does not fancy a move to Tottenham, who are aiming to rebuild under manager Roberto De Zerbi after yet another hugely disappointing Premier League campaign.

Rashford is ‘not interested in going to either Newcastle or Tottenham’, according to the report.

Marcus Rashford and Arsenal made for each other

Man Utd legend Paul Scholes believes that Rashford should make a move to Arsenal.

Arsenal won the Premier League title and reached the final of the Champions League this season.

Gunners manager Arteta is planning to strengthen the left wing in the summer transfer window.

Scholes said on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast: “Barcelona have a deal in place to buy him, but I think they’re trying to get him cheaper.

”That would be a great move, a great move for both parties.

“I think Arsenal would be a great move for him and the club.”

The former England international midfielder added: “No, it very rarely happens, a big player like that going to a big club and then coming back.

”They very rarely come back, and I don’t think United will really want him back.”

De Zerbi in dreamland after FIVE stars say YES to signing for Tottenham – Fabrizio Romano - TEAMtalk
Description

Five separate players have said yes to signing on the dotted line for Tottenham in what’s shaping up to be a monumental summer transfer window for Roberto De Zerbi.

After successive 17th-placed finishes, Tottenham are well aware they must make major changes to their playing personnel and provide De Zerbi with the proper tools to fly up the league.

The need to add leadership and experience to a squad that is sorely lacking in both has been identified.

Accordingly, Tottenham have already wrapped up deals to bring Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi on board via free agency.

Spurs repelled a hijack attempt from Juventus for Liverpool icon Robertson. The Reds looked into signing Senesi, but it’s north London where the Argentine will go. Both deals have been verified and given the ‘here we go’ treatment from Fabrizio Romano.

The trusted transfer guru has also brought news of Spurs convincing veteran defender, Ben Davies, to sign a contract extension. The Welshman had been on course to leave when his existing deal expires on June 30.

That update came via Romano’s his YouTube channel in which the reporter confirmed loanee, Joao Palhinha, wants to re-join Spurs.

Palhinha was one of very few who performed to their usual standard last season and it was his goal that secured Spurs’ Premier League status on the final day.

Tottenham can sign Palhinha by way of an option to buy from Bayern Munich worth €30m / £26m. Per Romano, Palhinha is giving priority to Spurs, meaning a deal is there is they desire it.

“Just a quick one on Tottenham,” began Romano when reporting on YouTube. “Ben Davies to sign a new contract.

“Also many questions on the future of Joao Palhinha. Sporting CP want him, but will only go for him if the Tottenham deal doesn’t happen, and Palhinha is still giving priority to Tottenham.”

But by far the biggest story at Tottenham right now centres on Manchester City and their winger, Savinho.

Savinho to Tottenham is ON – Fabrizio Romano

Tottenham twice bid for the Brazilian winger last summer, with reports at the time stating the largest offer totalled €80m / approximately £70m.

If accepted, Savinho would have become Tottenham’s all-time record signing, surpassing Dominic Solanke (£65m, add-ons included).

Savinho was open to joining Spurs last year and fast forward to the present day, he’s ready to up sticks and sign for Tottenham once again.

The difference this time around is that unlike in 2025, Man City are now ready to cash in. Furthermore, a transfer can now be agreed for a more modest fee.

“Tottenham are stepping up their efforts in order to try accelerate on a deal for Savinho,” said Romano. “Contacts are ongoing.

“Tottenham want to be fast on player side and then negotiate with Manchester City as soon as possible to sign the Brazilian winger. But the deal is on. The deal is on for Savinho.

“Let’s see what’s going to happen again because there is still to understand how much Manchester City want, probably no longer the €80million (£69.1m, $93.2m) they wanted one year ago.

“The price is going to be probably different, but Tottenham are there.

“Tottenham were there with Thomas Frank as a coach in 2025, and Tottenham are still there in 2026 with Roberto De Zerbi.”

Award-winning midfielder ‘prefers’ Everton to Man Utd – David Ornstein - TEAMtalk
Description

Although Manchester United are interested in bringing Hayden Hackney to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window, the Middlesbrough midfielder would prefer a move to Everton, according to journalist David Ornstein, as TEAMtalk reveals the fee that the Toffees would have to pay for him.

Hackney has established himself as one of the best players in the Championship and is a key figure in the Middlesbrough team.

The midfielder made 38 appearances in the Championship this season, scoring five goals and giving eight assists in the process.

While the 23-year-old did well to take Middlesbrough to the Championship play-off final, Boro’s failure to win the big game against Hull City means that it is very likely that the midfielder will not be at the Riverside Stadium next season.

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs keen on taking advantage of Middlesbrough’s situation and want to sign Hackney in the summer transfer window.

While Tottenham are aiming to rebuild after a hugely disappointing 2025/26 campaign under manager Michael Carrick, Man Utd qualified for the Champions League for the 2026/27 season.

However, according to The Athletic, it is Everton that the midfielder would like to join this summer.

The report in the publication, written by the esteemed David Ornstein, has claimed that ‘Hackney’s preference is to join Everton’.

Everton are now said to be in ‘pole position’ for the English midfielder.

Ornstein added: ‘Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace are also high among his suitors and retain a firm interest.

‘Manchester United like Hackney, but he is lower on their list of targets and a move to Old Trafford is not anticipated at present.’
