Spurs curse got Postecoglou sacked and could doom Frank against Leeds - Football365
Description

We love a bit of Tottenham Lore here. Spursiness. The history of the Tottenham. Dr Tottenham.

It’s all great stuff from a club that just consistently delivers. A great bit they’ve introduced recently to try and make sure their fans suffer for as long as possible is to lose just literally every game they play just before an international break.

It’s great news for Leeds, who face Spurs this Saturday lunchtime looking to become, ridiculously, the eighth team in a row to beat them in the last Premier League game before an international break.

Really is weirdly impressive to have lost that many times in a row in the fixtures that maximise the time your supporters have to stew on it before putting it right. Or, as is often the case with Spurs, just losing again.

You have to go back to October 2023 and the giddy Angeball Honeymoon Period for the last time Spurs didn’t lose right before the international break. And on that occasion they scraped a spawny 1-0 win against a Luton side who’ve subsequently been relegated twice.

They can’t even pin this on fixture-computer machinations, because not one of these defeats has come against Big Six opposition, with two of the last three coming at home in games Spurs were heavy favourites to win.

Here’s the full tale of woe.

September 2025: Tottenham 0-1 Bournemouth

Evanilson’s early goal was the first Spurs had conceded after kicking off the season with wins over Burnley and, in accordance with the prophecy, Manchester City.

So spooked by that early setback were a Spurs side who had taken just two games to completely forget they used to concede goals by the truckload that they simply accepted the inevitability of defeat rather than realising they had 85 minutes to try and get back into the game. They opted instead for just sort of stand around looking confused about it all.

In the vast oceans of time Spurs had to try and get back into this one, they managed a grand total of one shot on target to go with three off target. They didn’t even win a corner. They had 62 per cent of the ball. It’s almost impressive to do that little with that much.

March 2025: Fulham 2-0 Tottenham

Couple of remarkable things here. One, it’s not even the worst defeat at Craven Cottage in March on this list. And second that between a 3-0 win in March 2024 and this 2-0 win almost exactly a year later, Fulham had precisely zero home wins to nil in the Premier League.

Spurs can make even the most routine defeat remarkable.

November 2024: Tottenham 1-2 Ipswich

Perhaps the most extraordinary example of Tottenham’s new-found ability to lose any fixture if it’s before an international break in what was also of course a major Dr Tottenham crossover event.

We all know Tottenham’s league campaign last year descended wildly into absolute chaos that in any normal season could have plunged them deep into actual relegation trouble. Ipswich were one of the three teams sh*t enough to ensure that didn’t happen.

But back in November there really was no indication that Spurs were going to perform the extreme banter season they would eventually pull off. They’d just lost to Galatasaray in a Europa League game they showed no real likelihood of winning, but in the Premier League they were doing okay. Not great, but okay.

They’d won five of their first 10 games and their last three home games had produced a 3-1 win over a very decent Brentford side and 4-1 wins against West Ham and Aston Villa.

Ipswich, meanwhile, had won none of their first 10 Premier League games of the season. And after this astonishing and thoroughly deserved success at White Hart Lane 2.0 they would win only three more of the remaining 27.

Tottenham’s first league game after the international break? The 4-0 win at Manchester City. The entire concept of Spurs is ridiculous.

October 2024: Brighton 3-2 Tottenham

On the face of it, a narrow defeat at Brighton is among the less shameful defeats in this long list of quite shameful defeats.

But Spurs were 2-0 up and cruising at half-time thanks to goals from Brennan Johnson and James Maddison.

September 2024: Newcastle 2-1 Tottenham

One of the better performances on the list but perhaps all the more irritating for that. Spurs thoroughly outplayed Newcastle but couldn’t find the goals to put the game away before Alexander Isak popped up 12 minutes from time to grab all the points for Newcastle.

It was at least an improvement on Spurs’ two previous trips to St James’ Park, in which they’d lost 4-0 and 6-1, but losing games you should have won really can be even more painful than getting thrashed in games you should have got thrashed in. Say what you like about being 5-0 down after 21 minutes, but at least there isn’t any of the agony of false hope involved.

Postecoglou was notably grumpy in the post-match presser, albeit less memorably than two weeks later when, after another defeat in the North London Derby, he would make his now legendary second-season trophy promise.

March 2024: Fulham 3-0 Tottenham

Postecoglou’s Spurs at their enigmatic best here, sleepwalking to a thumping defeat a week after a swashbuckling 4-0 win at Aston Villa had appeared to give them the advantage in pursuit of a top-four finish.

Of course, Postecoglou knew what he was doing all along by finishing fifth, didn’t he? Very funny and also just not really very Spurs you have to say that even if you accept the flimsy premise that they didn’t try and beat City in that all-important title-shaping game at the back end of that season the whole ‘Oh you threw away Champions League football just so Man City would win the league instead of Arsenal’ actually ended up working out brilliantly in the end.

November 2023: Wolves 2-1 Tottenham

Spurs do love to make a bollocks of things against Wolves. There are few more powerful statistical indicators of Spursiness than the fact their last 10 games against Wolves have yielded two wins and 11 points while their last 10 against Man City have produced five wins and 16 points.

While Spurs only prescribed a single point in the end last week thanks to a desperately late equaliser from a ridiculously shirtless Joao Palhinha, back in November 2023 there was even more late drama.

For context, this was just after the Angeball revolution had suffered its first setback with that infamous 4-1 home defeat to Chelsea that ended with Spurs’ nine men playing 0-8-1 and donating a Premier League hat-trick to Nicolas Jackson.

What should have been obvious then is that Postecoglou was a crazy person and that this was not going to be an approach that could consistently deliver across an entire season in a proper big-boy league.

But at the time it was in fact viewed as yet more evidence of his maverick brilliance. It really was a very different time.

Still, it would help the narrative if that Chelsea game could quickly be established as a mere blip rather than the most compelling piece of evidence from any of those early games. A win at Wolves would do that, and Spurs made the perfect start through Johnson in the opening minutes.

They would hold that lead, albeit never truly convincingly, until injury time when Mario Lemina and then Pablo Sarabia would leave Angeball more exposed than ever.

Those two defeats would go on to form the basis of a run of one point from five games. The one point was at the Etihad, because Spurs are just that unserious and always will be.

Tottenham takeover: Spurs make sale decision with 'new investor unlikely to inject money'

Description

Tottenham have received a lot of interest from multiple parties wanting to buy the club in recent weeks, according to reports.

Daniel Levy left his role as Tottenham executive chairman in September with the Essex-born businessman insisting he was “incredibly proud” of his work during his long tenure in north London.

It had been speculated that Levy’s departure from Tottenham is an indication that owners ENIC are now open to the possibility of selling the club.

There are currently no changes in the ownership of the club with Levy remaining part of ENIC, who have a 86.91 per cent stake in the north London outfit.

It is understood that there has been interest from US and Middle Eastern groups looking to buy the north London club with a £4.5billion offer reportedly coming in from a US consortium led by tech entrepreneur Brooklyn Earick.

That offer was rejected by the Tottenham owners, who have previously been advised by bankers from Rothschild over potential sale opportunities.

And now The Athletic have reported that their relationship with Rothschild has been “mutually ended” as they are no longer required to oversee a sale.

A club spokesperson told The Athletic: “We’re grateful for the support of Rothschild in recent years. However, given the club is not for sale, we mutually agreed there is no longer a role for them and have mutually ended the mandate.”

Andrew Ashcroft, who is the son of former Conservative Party deputy chairman Lord Ashcroft, purchased a 3.4 per cent stake in Tottenham last week but Football Insider insist the ‘new investor unlikely to inject money into Tottenham’.

Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson reckons the shares have been passed down from Lord Ashcroft to his son and there is unlikely to be any new money being pumped into Tottenham.

Borson told Football Insider: “I don’t think it’s any new money coming into the club.

“I think all that’s happened is it’s been transferred from the father to the son, and it’ll have a nominal value, but it’s not new shares.

“So, the way the money would go into the club if it was £100m let’s say is the club would issue new shares to a third party, this guy Ashcroft’s son and he would pay £100m for those shares.

“The number of shares in the company would go up because they’ve issued new shares for £100m, so the whole issue share capital would be bigger, he would have x percent, and the club would get the £100m. But I don’t think that’s what’s happened.

“I think what’s happened is really much simpler than that, which is the shares have been transferred from the father to the son, and there’s no real economic difference, so I suspect it looks more interesting than it is.”

Tottenham: The 'most likely' Harry Kane scenario revealed after Spurs latest and Man Utd 'direction of travel'

The ‘most likely’ Harry Kane scenario revealed after Tottenham latest and Man Utd ‘direction of travel’ - Football365
Description

Tottenham are still the most likely Premier League club that Harry Kane will join if he leaves German giants Bayern Munich, according to reports.

The England international is in incredible scoring form again this season for the Bavarians with ten goals in five Bundesliga appearances and 17 in nine matches in all competitions.

Kane has carried on his brilliant form from his time in the Premier League with Tottenham and now has 102 goals in 105 games for Bayern Munich.

There have been rumours that Kane could return to the Premier League in the near future with a release clause of £54m reportedly becoming active in January 2026 for any interested parties.

Football Insider journalist Pete O’Rourke recently insisted that Tottenham “will be in the mix” if Kane wants to leave but warned “there will be no shortage of offers”.

O’Rourke told Football Insider recently: “For Kane right now, he’s having a good time at Bayern Munich, scoring plenty of goals and competing for trophies.

READ: Premier League player stats: Elliot Anderson, Jeremy Doku, Erling Haaland all thriving in 2025/26

“He would want to go to a club that’s going to give him the opportunity to be successful and win more trophies and honours as well.

“I’m sure Tottenham will be in the mix if he decides to leave Bayern, but they’re going to face a lot of competition for him and it won’t be straightforward.

“It won’t just be other Premier League clubs, the likes of Chelsea and Man United who have been long-term admirers, but Barcelona as well.

“If Kane does leave Bayern Munich next summer, there will be no shortage of offers, and he will want to be successful and playing at the highest level possible.”

But now football finance expert Stefan Borson thinks a move to Spurs is “pretty unlikely” and that Kane will see out the rest of his career at Bayern Munich.

Borson told Football Insider: “I don’t think it’s feasible that Manchester United would do it.

“I know they’ve been talked about. He doesn’t fit with United with their direction of travel.

“It doesn’t fit with City’s direction of travel. It definitely doesn’t fit with Liverpool’s direction of travel. He’s not going to Arsenal. Chelsea again, they’re going young.

“I don’t think he’s coming back to the Premier League unless it’s to Spurs under a situation where they’ve just gotten new ownership, and I think even that’s pretty unlikely, so who does that leave in terms of the options for him?”

Borson added: “I don’t think he’s going to Real Madrid. I don’t think he’s going to Barcelona. I doubt he’s going to Atletico Madrid. I doubt he’s going to PSG.

“I think the most likely thing is that nobody activates that clause and he ends up staying at Bayern Munich for the rest of his career probably.”

When asked recently if he was thinking about a return to the Premier League, Kane said: “No, not at the moment.

“I’m really happy here. I have two years left on my contract. I’m enjoying every moment.

“[Returning to England] is not in my thought process. I’m enjoying it with the team, with the coach, and hopefully we continue to be successful.”

Spurs lucky as Champions League reality check exposes worrying trend for Thomas Frank

Someone please tell Thomas Frank and Spurs that football matches are 90 minutes long, not 20 - Football365
Description

Spurs were absolutely honking against a relentless yet wasteful Bodo/Glimt as Thomas Frank was given a Champions League reality check in Norway.

Bodo/Glimt are one of the most overachieving football clubs in Europe, having won the Eliteserien four times in the last five years. They’ve punched above their weight on the continent too, reaching the Europa League semi-final last season after knocking out Lazio, Olympiacos and FC Twente.

Spurs, despite their Premier League woes, proved a step too far. Back in May, they made light work of an awkward tie, winning 5-1 on aggregate. On Tuesday night, though, they did not show up. At least not until there were only 20 minutes left. They had been battered. Absolutely smacked.

Every time Bodo attacked, they looked like scoring. Every time Spurs attacked, they looked like they were down to nine men. The home side’s wastefulness kept giving Frank and his players hope they could sneak something, but it felt like a goal before half-time was absolutely crucial for Kjetil Knutsen’s side. The more they missed, the more inevitable it seemed it wasn’t going to be their night.

A first-half penalty conceded by Rodrigo Bentancur should have been the breakthrough, but Kasper Hogh skied it in bizarre fashion. Lucy Ward on TNT Sports compared the effort to a “golf wedge” – and she wasn’t wrong.

How Bodo weren’t ahead at the break was baffling, and just as baffling was how Spurs came out looking no better. They couldn’t get out of their own half and were powerless to stop wave after wave of attack from a side smashing the door down.

Eventually the breakthrough came with a wonderful Jens Petter Hauge finish. After wasting easier chances with rash efforts, Hauge composed himself and curled the ball into the far corner.

The floodgates should have opened, but football being football, Spurs immediately equalised – only for VAR to rule it out as Micky van de Ven was caught grabbing a Bodo defender’s shirt.

The Spurs captain lost his head at the decision and then lost it again with a reckless tackle that earned him a yellow and summed up the mood.

Bodo sensed it was theirs to win and struck again, Hauge once more the difference as he chopped inside and drilled into the bottom corner. Guglielmo Vicario had no chance with either goal, and Spurs were staring at humiliation.

Van de Ven briefly reattached his head to thunder in a goal that halved the deficit and set up inevitable pain. Spurs pressed late, Wilson Odobert hit the woodwork, and in the 90th minute, fortune intervened as a rebound went in off Richarlison. It was brutally unfair on the Norwegians.

The fight to salvage a draw, as they did against Wolves on Saturday, will encourage Frank. But the fact Spurs are consistently allowing so many chances and counter-attacks is a huge concern. People talk about Liverpool’s late winners being unsustainable, but it’s far more realistic than Spurs having to rescue themselves every game.

They were fortunate Villarreal were wasteful on matchday one, and they were fortunate again here. Bodo should have been out of sight before half-time. If Spurs keep turning up for only 20 of 90 minutes, they will be punished by better opposition.

That especially applies in the Champions League, where Frank has already been given a reality check after seeing off Villarreal two weeks ago. The saving grace is their league phase schedule: Monaco, Copenhagen, PSG (not ideal), Slavia Prague, Borussia Dortmund and Frankfurt. That looks more Europa League than Champions League, PSG aside.

There’s a genuine chance Spurs can coast through and grab a top-eight finish. But by the time the knockout stage comes around, Frank has to have found a way to get a tune out of his players for a full game, not just one fifth of it.

Description

Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Martin Jol reckons one Spurs player who is currently out on loan will be better than Cristian Romero.

Spurs have started the season well with Thomas Frank’s side currently fourth in the Premier League table after their somewhat fortunate draw against Wolves at the weekend.

Only Arsenal and Crystal Palace have a better defensive record in the Premier League than Tottenham so far this season with Romero being one of their standout performers.

Captain Romero was heavily linked with a move to La Liga side Atletico Madrid over the summer but Jol reckons Luka Vuskovic – who they bought from Hajduk Split and immediately sent on loan to Hamburg – “will be better” than Romero eventually.

Jol told football.london: “Romero could go anywhere but you feel like if he plays for a while at his top level, he will get injured.

“Romero is a good, decent defender, but I will tell you one thing, the guy they sent to Hamburg now – Luka Vuskovic – will be better.”

One Tottenham player who caught the eye of Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher, even before he signed for Spurs, is Netherlands international Xavi Simons.

Carragher told Sky Sports: “Xavi Simons. I watched Xavi Simons play against my son in the summer for Holland, and I was in a seat really close to the pitch, and you really get a good feel for a player.

“He’s got great quality, real good ability, listen, I’m going to say hit. He’s going to Spurs, could be the end for Maddison.”

However, Carragher’s fellow pundit Roy Keane is less keen on Simons’ Tottenham team-mate Mohammed Kudus but hopes he surprises him.

Keane told Sky Sports: “I wasn’t sure at the start of the season, but he’s had a half-decent start. Not convinced, I have to say, but it would be nice if he surprised me.

“The game is about proving people wrong and if I’m not sure about him, he’s got a nice platform now at Spurs. But at his previous clubs, I’m unconvinced.”

When asked what he thinks of his team’s creativity in the last few weeks, Frank replied ahead of their match against Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League: “I think in terms of the creativity or maybe creating more chances, dominating a bit more, I think the Brighton game was a very good game.

“I think the first half against Wolves was good, we didn’t score, but I think all the right signs were there, so I think it’s a step forward. As I said before, I think it’s natural. Last year, most of the game, it was Kulusevski, Maddison, Sonny and Dom who played more or less the front four.

“Now we have more or less a new front four and they are doing very well. One of them sitting next to me is doing very well, having a very good start to the season. I think they’re gelling more and more together and we try to give them the best patterns and principles.”

Description

Spurs look to get things back on track when they face Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League league phase, a re-run of last season’s Europa League semi-final.

Thomas Frank has improved the north London outfit, but they stuttered to a draw against previously pointless Wolves on Saturday, with Joao Palinha’s late equaliser sparing Spurs’ blushes.

They will be hoping that their trip to Norway is as joyous as their last, with that forming a part of their successful Europa League campaign, but the Norwegian side are going well domestically, just one point off Viking who are top of the Eliteserien.

They picked up a creditable point at Slavia Prague in their opener, while Spurs edged past Villarreal as they won 1-0 thanks to a Luiz Junior own goal.

Frank will be hoping his side can go two from two, as they have some tough fixtures round the corner in this competition, with a visit to European champions PSG perhaps the most daunting of the lot.

You can follow the Champions League fixture on our live score centre.

Bodo/Glimt team news

Bodo/Glimt are without Ola Brynhildsen for this one, as he is absent with a knee injury, which is expected to keep him out until late October.

Goalkeeper Ulrik Saltnes is a doubt as he’s missed recent clashes with illness, but he should have a chance of returning.

Meanwhile, Ole Didrik Blomberg is out with a hamstring issue and Isak Maatta is unavailable with a shoulder problem.

Bodo/Glimt expected line-up

(4-3-3) Halkin; Bjorkan, Aleesami, Bjørtuft, Sjovold; Berg, Fet, Evjen; Hauge, Bassi, Høgh

Tottenham team news

Spurs are still without long-term absentees James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, who both have knee injuries.

Radu Dragusin is ruled out, while this one is expected to come too early for Dominic Solanke and Randal Kolo Muani, who have been absent with an ankle and thigh injury respectively.

Koto Takai and Ben Davies have a chance to make the squad, but they remain doubts.

Bodo/Glimt vs Tottenham: How to watch

The game, which kicks off at 20.00, is live on Discovery + and TNT Sports 2.

Bodo/Glimt vs Tottenham stats

The pair met in the Europa League semi-final, with Tottenham winning it 5-1 on aggregate.

The home leg was a 3-1 Tottenham victory, while they triumphed 0-2 in Norway.

It is Bodo Glimt’s first home game in the main draw of the Champions League.

Ivan Kružliak is the referee, the Slovakian is yet to officiate a Champions League game this season.

Bodo/Glimt vs Tottenham prediction

Tottenham will expect to win here, but the Norwegian faithful will definitely be up for this one.

Spurs have the better of the little history there is to this fixture and it surely will be a question of how many they win by, with Frank undoubtedly having a better squad at his disposal.

They won 2-0 here last time under Ange Postecoglou, so we think a Spurs win to nil is likely again, especially after keeping five clean sheets in all competitions this campaign.

Meanwhile, Richarlison has had a good start to the season, netting three times already, so the Brazilian to score anytime is worth a punt.

Harry Kane transfer: Tottenham blow as decided next move 'priority' revealed amid 'agreement' claim

Tottenham blow as Harry Kane's decided next move 'priority' revealed amid 'agreement' claim - Football365
Description

Harry Kane’s transfer ‘priority’ has reportedly been revealed as his ‘stance on a return’ to Tottenham Hotspur is a blow for the Premier League side.

Kane left boyhood club Spurs during the 2023 summer transfer window to join Bayern Munich for around £86m.

Unsurprisingly, Kane has been a revelation at Bayern Munich as he’s scored 100 goals in 104 appearances for the German giants and finally won a team trophy last season by lifting the Bundesliga.

Despite this, Kane has been heavily linked with a return to the Premier League in recent weeks as it’s emerged that a clause in his contract means he can be bought for less than £60m next summer.

Therefore, a potential return to Spurs has been mooted, though they are expected to face competition from rival clubs, and it’s even been claimed that he’s already ‘agreed’ to join another European giant for two reasons.

In a recent interview, Kane moved to play down reports linking him with an exit from Bayern Munich.

“No, not at the moment,” Kane responded when asked whether he is thinking about a return to the Premier League.

“I’m really happy here. I have two years left on my contract. I’m enjoying every moment.

“[Returning to England] is not in my thought process. I’m enjoying it with the team, with the coach, and hopefully we continue to be successful.”

When pushed on whether he thinks Bayern is the best place for him to win trophies, he added, “Yes, absolutely.”

Despite this, a report from Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke claims 32-year-old Kane’s ‘priority’ is to give himself a good opportunity of “winning more trophies and honours” in the final few years of his career and he has several “long-term admirers”.

“For Kane right now, he’s having a good time at Bayern Munich, scoring plenty of goals and competing for trophies,” O’Rourke told Football Insider.

Tottenham watch Real Madrid star ahead of transfer effort as Los Blancos sources 'confirm' their view - Football365
Description

Tottenham are among the clubs who have reportedly been ‘spotted’ at LaLiga fixtures watching a Real Madrid star in action, as club sources have confirmed their current view.

Spurs have made a very positive start to the season. They have won five games across all competitions – three have come in the Premier League, one in the Champions League and one in the League Cup.

After finishing 17th in the league last term, Tottenham are in the top four currently under Thomas Frank, who seems to have his troops in a better place than previous boss Ange Postecoglou did.

Frank signed eight players in the summer to make the squad his own, and he’s got an eye on a Real Madrid star as a potential next signing.

Indeed, Caught Offside reports that they are among the sides who have been ‘spotted’ at LaLiga games, keeping track on the process of Arda Guler.

Along with Spurs, rivals Arsenal, as well as Newcastle, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig, have been watching Guler.

The Real midfielder has three goals and three assists in seven LaLiga games this season, and was a shining light in the club’s last game – though it was a 5-2 loss against rivals Atletico Madrid, he both scored and assisted.

Caught Offside reports that while there’s admiration from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, Real remain unwavering in their stance that Guler is not for sale.

Los Blancos sources have reportedly confirmed that both the club and player are satisfied with his progress, and the coaching staff view him as a long-term project who can become a central figure in the coming years.

That will not stop sides from circling, but it would surely take a huge sum to prise him away given Real are adamant they aren’t going to sell.

However, no price tag has been set because of the club’s view.

Previous reports have suggested that Guler will cost €80million (£69.8m), but that seems a far too achievable fee given the stance is now that Real won’t be selling, so it seems very unlikely that were a bid to be lodged of that sum, it would be accepted.

Guler will look to continue starring until January, and by that point he might be even more crucial in Real’s eyes.

Tottenham new boy reveals Frank 'demand' which will see him quickly break personal record - Football365
Description

A new Tottenham signing has revealed what Thomas Frank is “demanding” of him, which is seeing him near a personal record within his first few Spurs games.

The north London outfit are flying high at the moment. In the Premier League, they are third, having lost just one game, and have registered just one point fewer than second-placed Crystal Palace.

They also beat Villarreal in their Champions League opener, and saw off League One Doncaster Rovers in the League Cup.

New boy Joao Palhinha has played a big role in some of those victories, scoring three goals already this season, against Manchester City, Rovers and Wolves.

Palhinha grabbed a point for Tottenham in the last of those games, curling an effort from just outside the box into the bottom corner.

Against Rovers in the week, he capitalised on defensive uncertainty to score an overhead kick, and his first goal of the season against City also saw him on hand to tuck away after Spurs won the ball back in the opposing box.

The midfielder has revealed the demand from manager Frank which is seeing him get his name on the scoresheet so often.

“First of all, I feel glad to score these goals, but I think also the coach is demanding sometimes in the game for me to be more inside the box,” he told Tottenham’s social media.

“These goals happen because I am there, if I am not too far from the box, and I tried to get the chances, and today I scored a good goal.

“But if you ask me if I would change the goal for the victory, for sure I would do it, but it is like this.”

The three goals Palhinha has scored this season leave him just one shy of his record for a single season. He scored four times in both of his seasons with Fulham, and clearly has a chance of surpassing that total with Spurs.

The last time he scored four goals in a campaign, he did so in 39 games, and this season he has three in eight.

As such, it would be a massive surprise if he were not to break his personal record, and he’ll have Frank’s demand to thank for that.

Palhinha is only on loan at Tottenham, but they have an option to buy him and at the moment, it seems very likely that will be taken up.
