Is Bodo/Glimt vs Tottenham on TV? Live stream and kick-off info for Champions League clash

Tottenham return to the Champions League after a stalemate with Wolves in the Premier League, as they travel to Norway in search of more European success

Tottenham return to European business on Tuesday as they take on Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League. Spurs snatched a point against Wolves at the weekend, with Joao Palhinha scoring in the 94th minute to ensure Thomas Frank didn't endure back-to-back home defeats.

The 1-1 draw dropped Tottenham a place to fourth in the Premier League table, as they now turn their attentions back to European football's top-tier competition. Spurs are currently 14th in the league phase after a narrow 1-0 win over Villarreal on matchday one of the Champions League, a result earned by an own goal early on in the contest.

Bodo/Glimt started the 2025/26 league phase with a 2-2 draw against Slavia Prague, and will be looking to use home advantage to the fullest extent as the current Europa League champions come calling.

Here, Mirror Football has all the details on how you can tune into the game, and who may not be in the line-ups for each team.

What time does Bodo/Glimt vs Tottenham kick off?

The Champions League matchday two game will get underway at 8pm BST (9pm local), and will be played at Aspmyra Stadion in Norway.

Where can I watch Bodo/Glimt vs Tottenham?

The match will be available to watch on TNT Sports 2 for UK viewers. TNT Sports customers will also be able to tune into the game on the Discovery+ website, or on the mobile app.

Highlights will be made available on TNT Sport's YouTube channel following the match.

Bodo/Glimt vs Tottenham team news

Bodo/Glimt are struggling where injuries are concerned, with three players likely out of contention for the Norwegian side. Ola Brynhildsen (knee), Ole Didrik Blomberg (hamstring) and Isak Maatta (shoulder) are all sidelined, with boss Kjetil Knutsen potentially also without goalkeeper Ulrik Saltnes through illness.

Meanwhile, Dejan Kulusevski (knee), Yves Bissouma (ineligible), Kota Takai (ineligible), Radu Dragusin (knee) and Dominic Solanke (ankle) will all remain unavailable for Frank - although he is hoping to have Solanke back in some capacity sooner rather than later.

Speaking on the Englishman, the Spurs boss said: "His ankle injury has been a little tricky - it's nothing big. We're relatively positive he will be back quickly. It's not perfect, but we're going forward in the right direction. He wasn't [training] on the grass today, but he has been during the week."

Ben Davies and Kolo Randal Muani are also doubts. Frank said: "Kolo Muani's dead leg is dragging on, he'll be a few more days, and he's not available."

EXCLUSIVE: Tottenham opponents Bodo/Glimt fired kit manager as grim struggles revealed

Bodo/Glimt have been on a long journey to reach the league phase of the Champions League for the first time and now face a familiar opponent in the form of Tottenham Hotspur

In some ways, Bodo/Glimt's run to the league phase of the Champions League might feel like a miracle, but in others it's the most natural thing in the world. The team from just north of the Arctic Circle is the first from Norway to reach the Champions League proper for the best part of two decades, but it's something they've been building towards for some time.

Back in 2021/22, they beat Jose Mourinho's Roma 6-1 in a group stage game in the Conference League, eventually reaching the quarter-finals of the competition and last season they beat big-hitters Olympiacos and Lazio en route to the Europa League semis, losing to Tottenham. Tonight, their home of Aspmyra Stadion - the smallest in this season's Champions League with a capacity of just over 8,000 - welcomes Spurs once again.

Barely a decade ago, though, things looked very different. Håvard Sakariassen, the club's former player and current sporting director, joined the backroom staff upon retiring in 2011 and faced a very different reality to the one we see today.

"It was a completely different club than today because we were almost bankrupt, we didn't have a kit manager," Sakariassen tells Mirror Football. "We had to fire the kit manager because we couldn't afford him... so we actually washed our training gear at home and we came ready to to go to practice.

"Then you have to do everything, you know, you have to be the kit manager, you have to arrange the trips, you have to be a part of everything, including what I do now. So I think the knowledge of the holistic part of the football club is somehow good to have. Then you have respect for the the roles of everyone. and you see that everyone, everything has to come together.

"We have a quarter-final in Conference League, we have a semi-final and Europa League. So it is weird because when we qualified for Champions League, I can say that I felt like, 'okay, yeah [this makes sense]'. Because it was weird, but it kind of felt well-deserved too.

"It's weird because I know the story of the club and I know where we were 10 years ago. But also we've done a good job in the last years. So we kind of felt also that we deserve this opportunity."

Bodo/Glimt's remoteness might look like a challenge for some - Bodo is nearly 2,000 miles from London and more than 500 miles from the Norwegian capital of Oslo - but those at the club see it as an opportunity. If nothing else, it means the players they can bring on board will join for the right reasons, and a lot of work takes place behind the scenes to ensure everyone is a cultural fit as well as a tactical one.

In a world of multi-club models and cross-border partnerships, Sakariassen values another secret weapon - the concept of Vårres Måte, which essentially translates as 'our way'. "I f we try to copy something, we're just gonna be a bad copy of something," he says. " If we... should have any chance to become something unique and to get the potential out of the club, we have to do it our way."

It has helped, over the years, for Bodo/Glimt to be able to point to significant success stories. A prime example is that of Albert Gronbaek, who had been sitting on Aarhus' bench when he moved to Norway in 2022 and left two-and-a-half years later as a full international and - ultimately - Bodo/Glimt's record sale.

Suddenly the calibre of player who might previously have had second thoughts about such a remote move were beginning to welcome it. The club have also recruited smartly from within Norway, and one of those players - defender Jostein Gundersen - is under no illusions about the things which have helped the team thrive.

" We have a unique culture here, everyone goes in the same direction. Everyone wants to take the next step," Gundersen says. "We are living far north in Europe, but we have a unique togetherness and culture that makes it a special place to play football in."

Gundersen, 29, played every minute of the knockout stages in last season's Europa League and started the first league phase game in this season's Champions League. Bodo/Glimt trailed 2-0 away at Slavia Prague with just 15 minutes to go but didn't give up, snatching a draw in the final minute through substitute Sondre Brunstad Fet.

He describes Spurs as the best side he faced last season, but feels the Norwegians can cause problems for anyone who heads to Bodo this season. That includes the Europa League holders, but also Monaco, Juventus and 2023 Champions League winners Manchester City.

"I think it might be a challenge to come here for a lot of teams," Gundersen adds "It’s probably not the sexiest stadium for the world class players that are coming here.

"For our sake we just want to improve every single day, and that has now taken us to the Champions League. We are here to perform, and we feel like we deserve to be here. You can tell by walking in the city that the whole city and region is proud to be here, and that makes us proud."

When sporting director Sakariassen reflects on the days leading up to Spurs' visit, he notes - with a smile - that autumn is coming. He's someone who enjoys the distinct seasons you get in Bodo, and that's no less than you'd expect from someone who grew up 100 metres from the stadium and lives even closer now, but he also enjoys the different pace of life compared to some of European football's bigger cities.

"For me i t's much better to live in Bodo and travel to London for a weekend," he says. "Because if you like to you have the city and you have all the good life, but you also have insane nature around you. The freedom you feel here.

"T he nature around here is amazing. The life here is really easy because you can move from A to B, you don't spend any time in the traffic of your life in Bodo,. and that has value. If you start for two hours every day in traffic, then you waste a lot of your life."

It's perhaps this simpler approach which informs Bodo/Glimt's outlook for their European campaigns. There's been a buzz around the town thanks to the Champions League, perhaps a little more than before, but up there Vårres Måte means taking things as they come rather than dreaming big and having to reset.

"When we kind of started this journey five years ago, there was, we didn't have a plan of coming here," Sakariassen says. "[In football] you can make all these great plans and it takes two two months or one year and you can toss it in the bin.

"So it's a fact of football, I think, and it's probably a fact of life that the best way of working is actually doing it day by day and grab all the momentums that you can have along the way and just try to improve everything all the time. And suddenly you know, tomorrow, maybe there's the door open I was not open today, and then if it's smart to go in that door, you go in."

Description

Dominic Solanke has not featured for Tottenham since the defeat to Ludogorets in the UEFA Conference League in August, with the England international still dealing with an ankle injury

Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank has confirmed that Dominic Solanke has suffered a fresh injury blow that has forced the striker to undergo surgery. Solanke hasn't made an appearance for Spurs since before the September international break, despite returning to training at Hotspur Way.

In updates following his absence from the squad to face his former club Bournemouth several weeks ago, Frank had revealed he was getting closer to a return. However, the Tottenham manager recently disclosed that Solanke was still experiencing some discomfort in the area.

Solanke was not part of the Tottenham squad that was held to a 1-1 draw with Wolves in the Premier League at the weekend. Spurs will now prepare to face Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League this week, but will, once again, not have Solanke available for selection.

Frank has confirmed that Solanke has undergone surgery on an ankle injury, but it's unclear how long the striker will be on the sidelines.

"Dom we know got that ankle issue that's been bothering him for a little while. Decided to have minor surgery. Small procedure. More news about time frame after the international break," Frank told reporters via football.london on Monday.

Alongside Solanke's absence from the final training session before the Champions League clash against Bodo/Glimt, Randal Kolo Muani and Cristian Romero were also absent. Frank has nevertheless confirmed that both players should be available for selection.

"[Randal] Kolo Muani I think finally on top of his dead leg. Cuti [Romero] was just precaution [missing training]," said Frank.

Tottenham will also be without James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, who both remain unavailable with lengthy injuries. However, there's been encouraging news with Radu Dragusin returning to training after being on the sidelines for several months with an ACL injury.

Ben Davies, Kota Takai and Yves Bissouma are also nursing minor injuries after sitting out last week's Carabao Cup win over Doncaster Rovers and the draw at home to Wolves. Pape Matar Sarr was absent for the third-round fixture with a slight problem but came off the bench against Wolves and provided the assist for Joao Palhinha's dramatic late leveller.

Pedro Porro was left out of the starting line-up for that match as he was rested and could start in Norway for Tottenham on Tuesday evening.

Tottenham Hotspur will face Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup fourth round and the fixture confirmation has led to a busy schedule ahead

Tottenham Hotspur have been given a potential fixture nightmare after confirmation of their Carabao Cup fourth-round tie. Spurs booked their place in the round of 16 of the competition after they claimed a victory over Doncaster Rovers in the third round last week.

Thomas Frank has enjoyed an impressive start to life as Tottenham manager, with the club fourth in the Premier League table after six matches. Saturday night saw Spurs held to a 1-1 draw at home to Wolves as they missed the chance to close the gap on leaders Liverpool.

Tottenham are still in all four competitions this season and will have ambitions of winning another major trophy. However, part of that success has created a busy fixture list on the horizon for Frank and Co.

Monday morning saw confirmation that Tottenham's Carabao Cup fourth-round tie against Newcastle United will take place on Wednesday, October 29 at St James' Park.

This fixture falls in between Premier League matches against Everton (October 26) and Chelsea (November 1) and will see Spurs have three games across seven days.

Tottenham will then have a Champions League clash against FC Copenhagen on November 4, before hosting Manchester United in the Premier League on November 8. This run of fixtures means that Spurs will now have five matches across 14 days leading up to the November international break.

The draw with Wolves leaves Tottenham four points behind leaders Liverpool in the Premier League table. Frank admitted there was an opportunity to capitalise on Liverpool's defeat to Crystal Palace, before reflecting on his team's performance.

"Yeah, I think if you look before the game [vs Wolves], you would say that there was a good chance for us to win," Frank told reporters on Saturday.

"But I think it's also, that's why I also said it before the game, we haven't beaten Wolves the last five times, no, six times in a row.

"And also a team that have lost the first five, there's a time where they will get something. And also I said before the game, they had played very, very even games.

"So it's never easy. That said, I hoped and believed if we hit a top performance, we would win. We didn't hit a top performance.

"I think we hit an average performance. But you do that sometimes. So yeah, we got a point on a day when not everything worked and then we move forward."

Carabao Cup fourth round fixture dates:

Tuesday, October 28

Grimsby Town vs Brentford - 7:45pm - Sky Sports + Wycombe Wanderers vs Fulham - 7:45pm - Sky Sports + Wrexham vs Cardiff - 8pm - Sky Sports/ITV

Wednesday, October 29

Arsenal star was booed by his own team-mates in training after signing from Tottenham

Sol Campbell made the controversial move from one side of London to the other - and his new teammates made sure he knew all about it

Arsenal travel to Newcastle on Sunday afternoon and there are a plethora of stars who have played for both clubs. But there are probably none more controversial than Sol Campbell, who was booed by his Arsenal teammates after signing from their bitter rivals.

Campbell's move from Tottenham to north London was heavily criticised. The defender made 314 appearances for Spurs from 1992 to 2001, scoring 15 goals and assisting 12 times.

He headed to Arsenal in one of the Premier League's most talked-about free transfers, which earned him the nickname 'Judas' from the Tottenham fans.

Former Gunners boss Arsene Wenger had to be mindful of the defender's "stressful" situation after he signed. Remembering the boos while speaking to 11 Freunde years ago, the Frenchman said: "They did that, and they also made jokes about it.

"But the situation was really stressful for Sol and he told me afterwards how severe it became. He couldn't go to certain places for dinner or walk freely in London because of the anger of the Tottenham fans.

"In hindsight, I'm not sure if I would sign him again bearing in mind the difficulties he faced."

Campbell's move from Spurs to Arsenal remained a huge secret until it was announced. Wenger had the media convinced that they were attending a press conference for the unveiling of ex-Ipswich Town goalkeeper Richard Wright.

Reflecting on the secrecy of the transfer, he said: "This transfer remained secret amongst the four of us: him, his agent, David [Dein] and me. That cannot happen anymore in modern football because there are so many people involved in a transfer.

"We walked around the house in the countryside at night. I knew that it would cause heated debates in London, but I was truly convinced by the player.

"I thought he was capable of facing the adversity. For me, it was easy because everybody was conscious that I had signed a great player. But for him, it was more complicated."

Campbell went on to become a huge success with the Gunners, winning two Premier League titles, three FA Cups and one Community Shield.

Stints at Portsmouth, Notts County and a second shift at Arsenal came in his later years, before the centre-half ended his career at Newcastle. As Mikel Arteta's men take on the Magpies at St James' Park, it is likely that Campbell would choose the away end in this tense Premier League fixture.

Tottenham Hotspur will take on Wolves on Saturday night with Thomas Frank looking to continue his side's strong start to the season. Spurs will perhaps see the tie as something of a home banker as they face a team at the foot of the Premier League table with zero points.

Aside from their 1-0 home defeat by Bournemouth, Spurs have three wins under their belt this season as Frank's ideas begin to take shape since taking over in the summer. The Lilywhites have beaten Burnley, Manchester City and West Ham without conceding a goal.

However, they had to fight their way back from 2-0 down to earn a point away at Brighton last weekend. Spurs then returned to winning ways in midweek, beating Doncaster Rovers in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

While Wolves have lost all five of their league games so far this season, Vitor Pereira's side are also into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup following a shock win over Everton midweek.

They will now be looking to keep up that momentum for the visit to north London. Here, Mirror Football takes a look at all you need to know for Spurs vs Wolves, from the unusual kick-off time to team news.

When is Tottenham Hotspur vs Wolves?

Tottenham vs Wolves is set for 8pm on Saturday, September 27, 2025. The game will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

How can you watch Tottenham Hotspur vs Wolves?

The Premier League clash will be televised live on Sky Sports. Coverage begins at 7.45pm, shortly after the game between Nottingham Forest vs Sunderland.

Sky subscribers can also watch on the Sky Go app. Those in the UK unable to watch live can also listen to the game on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Team news

Frank is set to have Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Mohammed Kudus, and Destiny Udogie available for the tie with Wolves.

Spurs' Danish boss may be sweating on the fitness Pape Matar Sarr, Dominic Solanke and Randal Kolo Muani with updates to come. Star striker Jorgen Strand Larsen continues his return from injury after featuring in last week's 3-1 defeat to Leeds and should be available.

It's thought he will get the nod for a start over Tolu Arokodare, despite the latter's goal against Everton midweek. However, Andre is set to sit this one out with a calf problem.

Tottenham Hotspur host struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers this evening as they aim to return to winning ways in the Premier League after last week's draw at Brighton

Tottenham Hotspur return to action on Saturday evening as they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers (8pm kick-off UK time). Spurs have enjoyed a positive start to life under Thomas Frank with Tottenham currently third in the Premier League table after five matches.

The North Londoners demonstrated character last weekend after battling back from 2-0 down to secure a point at Brighton - meaning they have suffered just one league defeat all campaign. Tottenham now face a Wolves side who have endured a nightmare beginning to the season with five losses from five in the top flight.

Below is the latest on Spurs' fitness concerns ahead of Saturday's encounter at home to Vitor Pereira's side.

Dominic Solanke

Solanke hasn't featured for Spurs since the 2-0 victory over Manchester City in late August as he continues to battle a persistent ankle problem. He increased his recovery efforts in training last week, but Wednesday's Carabao Cup third-round tie with Doncaster arrived too early for a comeback.

Possible return date: Unknown.

What Frank has said: "It's an ankle injury that's just been a little bit tricky. Nothing big. We are relatively positive that it will be relatively quick."

Randal Kolo Muani

Muani has only appeared once for his new side so far as a late substitute in the Champions League triumph over Villarreal last week. The forward wasn't available to start in last weekend's 2-2 stalemate at Brighton or against Doncaster due to a dead leg that remains unhealed.

Possible return date: Unknown

What Frank has said: "Dead leg is just dragging on. Little bit annoying... he will not be available."

Yves Bissouma

The midfielder hasn't had a chance to play under Frank this season. He was omitted from the squad that faced Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup due to disciplinary issues and has been absent ever since because of an injury.

His recovery is ongoing.

Possible return date: Unknown.

What Frank has said: "I think, to be fair, he has just started to run outside, so he is not part of the group. That I actually don't know [when he will return]. Of course, I know [about his recovery], but [a return] is further down the line."

Dejan Kulusevski

Kulusevski's knee injury has kept the forward sidelined since the end of last season. He underwent surgery in May and hasn't featured at all during Frank's tenure at the club.

There were rumours that he would be out until 2026, but the Spurs boss has declined to give a specific timeline for his return.

Possible return date: Unknown.

What Frank has said: "No Kulusevski, he's out. That's a longer one, I don't want to put a timeframe on it."

James Maddison

Maddison seemed poised to play a significant role under Frank this season, but he suffered an ACL rupture in pre-season. The midfielder has since had surgery and is expected to be out for an extended period.

Possible return date: Towards the end of the season.

Radu Dragusin

Another ACL injury has kept Dragusin sidelined since February. There's optimism that the centre-back will resume training over the international break, but Spurs are likely to be cautious with his comeback.

Possible return date: Unknown.

What Frank has said: "Dragusin is on the way back and he's been running for a while. I think he should join the team in a week's time, 10 days' time, I think that's the thing, so that's positive, but of course it is an ACL. I'm always a little bit more, not worried, but just aware that it takes time.

"When you've been out of football for nine months, you know, you need to get in. It's not enough to have a six-week pre-season. You need to take a little bit more time, but it's positive and some surprise and come back quicker, of course."

Kota Takai

The summer recruit developed a plantar fascia problem during pre-season, which means he hasn't yet made his Spurs debut. He was absent from the pre-season friendlies against Reading, Wycombe and Luton.

Possible return date: Unknown.

What Frank has said: "Kota got a plantar fascia injury, unfortunately we don't know the scale of it - weeks."

England striker and former Tottenham captain Harry Kane has broken his silence on the possibility of a return to the Premier League in 2026 after scoring his 100th Bayern Munich goal

Harry Kane has broken his silence on a possible return to the Premier League. The England captain scored his 100th Bayern Munich goal in just his 104th appearance for the club on Friday night.

The 32-year-old reached the landmark after scoring twice in Friday’s 4-0 Bundesliga victory over Werder Bremen. Kane became the fastest player to score 100 goals for a club in Europe’s top five leagues this century.

He surpassed the record set by Erling Haaland and Cristiano Ronaldo, who both took 105 games to reach a century for Manchester City and Real Madrid, respectively. There has been some speculation that the former Tottenham Hotspur star could make a return to the Premier League.

But Kane, who has been linked with old club Spurs as well as Manchester United, has ruled this out when talking post-match.

“I’m really happy here at Bayern,” he said. “I have two years left on my contract. And to be honest, I’m enjoying every minute. I enjoy playing here in front of the fans. I enjoy the team, the coach.

"So that’s not on my mind at all. I’m just looking forward to this season and hope we’ll be successful.”

On the record, he told Sky Germany: “It’s crazy even for me. It’s an honour to reach 100 goals for this great club.

"To do it so quickly, I’m very proud of that. Hopefully I can reach another 100 as soon as possible.”

Spurs boss Thomas Frank has recently shared his thoughts on a potential transfer for Kane, praising the player's performances at both Spurs and Bayern.

"He is an unbelievable player who did fantastic for Spurs and is doing fantastic for Bayern," said Frank.

"Top player. I think there's a lot of Tottenham fans, including myself, who would like to see Kane back. Personally, I don't think he will do it right now if I'm honest.

"He'll probably stay in Bayern and continue performing well. He was top scorer last year, won the championship and he's doing fantastic now."

Tottenham takeover: US businessman posts cryptic message as statement issued on £4.6bn bid - The Mirror

Brooklyn Earick has caused a stir at Tottenham, with the club forced to release a statement after an American consortium expressed an interest in buying the team from ENIC

American tech entrepreneur Brooklyn Earick has teased Tottenham fans with a cryptic update on social media after launching a bid to take over the club. Earick is heading up a consortium that has made an approach to buy the Premier League club from ENIC.

The former DJ and NASA employee is trying to convince the Lewis family to sell Spurs following the departure of Daniel Levy as chairman. Those talks have accelerated since Levy’s shock departure was announced earlier this month.

The Lewis family insist that their stance has not changed and that the club is not for sale. It comes after they rejected two informal approaches for the club, which broke their long trophy drought by winning the Europa League in May.

ENIC owns 87 per cent of Spurs and insists they won’t budge, but Earick has raised the interests of Spurs fans by posting a photo apparently taken inside the team’s dressing room at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. At the bottom of the image is a countdown titled “COYS” with 27 days, 10 hours and 36 minutes on it.

Earlier in the day, Earick posted a photo of the Sun newspaper, which reported on his interest, with the caption “pretty low key morning so far”. His moves have prompted an official response from Tottenham, who have to inform the public of any takeover talk due to the fact that 13 per cent of the club is publicly traded.

In a statement to the Stock Exchange, Spurs said: “The Board of Tottenham Hotspur Limited is aware of recent media speculation and confirms that its majority shareholder, ENIC Sports & Developments Holdings Ltd, has received, and unequivocally rejected, an informal expression of interest in relation to a proposal to acquire the entire issued, and to be issued, share capital of the Club from a consortium led by Mr Brooklyn Earick.

“The Board of the Club and ENIC reconfirm that Tottenham Hotspur is not for sale and ENIC is not looking to sell its stake in the Club.”

Meanwhile, a source close to the Lewis family reiterated that message by telling The Athletic: “This unsolicited and unnecessary interest does nothing to change the family’s resolve and commitment to do whatever it takes to drive success on the pitch. The club is not for sale.”

Earick is not the first person to express an interest in Spurs with an Asian consortium of investors led by Dr Roger Kennedy and Wing-Fai Ng through Firehawk Holdings Limited doing the same last month. They indicated an informal intention to make an offer for Spurs on the day Levy departed, only to be pushed back by ENIC.

Meanwhile, Amanda Staveley and PCP International Finance Ltd are also believed to have shown enough interest. Staveley has previous experience in the sector, having brokered the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund takeover of Newcastle.

How Tottenham can line up in dream scenario after £4.5bn takeover and January spending spree

How Tottenham can line up in dream scenario after £4.5bn takeover and January spending spree - The Mirror
Description

Tottenham could reportedly have new billionaire owners in the near future, which could have a major impact on Thomas Frank's starting line-up following the January transfer window

Tottenham could field a new-look starting line-up next season if their reported billionaire takeover goes through before the January transfer window. The north London club has been owned by ENIC and the Lewis family since 2001, but that could all be about to change.

Former DJ and tech entrepreneur Brooklyn Earick is reportedly heading a 12-man group, who are said to have launched a world-record takeover bid of £4.5billion to take control of the club.

The consortium are said to have offered £3.3bn to buy out the entire club while putting another £1.2bn aside for a ‘player budget’ - in other words, new signings.

That kind of money would make sleeping giants Tottenham a force in the Premier League and in Europe, should it be spent wisely in the upcoming transfer windows.

And Mirror Football now brings you a potential XI which Tottenham could field in a dream scenario following the January transfer window.

Guglielmo Vicario

The 28-year-old is now in his third season as Spurs’ first-choice goalkeeper. He has delivered solid performances between the sticks, but the Italian has also been criticised for his suspect handling of crosses into the penalty box and his shaky skills with the ball at his feet.

Nevertheless, he is still a solid option and his relatively young age for a keeper means there is room for improvement. Most importantly, the goalkeeper market is currently underwhelming, though Spurs would certainly be keeping their eyes peeled on any potential upgrades in the future.

Pedro Porro

Pedro Porro has quietly become one of Spurs’ most consistent performers since his arrival in 2023 and is certainly one of the current players good enough to keep as a starter, even with big money potentially at their disposal. The Spaniard has caught the eye with his impact on both ends of the pitch, offering an attacking threat while still impressing with his defensive responsibilities.

Cristian Romero

Argentine stalwart Cristian Romero is the heart of the Spurs defence. Despite sometimes being criticised for his overly-aggressive style, there is a reason why the likes of Barcelona have been linked with the World Cup winning centre-back.

Now captaining Frank’s side and still just 27 years old, Romero is a key figure in the dressing room and would be pivotal in a transitional period under the new ownership, marshalling the younger players and helping any new signings to settle in.

Marc Guehi

The first exciting addition to our new-look Spurs team is Crystal Palace skipper Marc Guehi. The reliable England international was on the brink of sealing a transfer to Liverpool on transfer deadline day but the move broke down at the last minute, with Palace deciding to keep the defender.

Guehi has since been linked with Real Madrid, who he could join as a free agent at the end of this season, but an exciting Spurs project could tempt him into remaining in London. Tottenham were linked heavily with Guehi last January but reportedly had a £70m bid rejected. But there is a possibility that the north Londoners can secure his signature for a cut-price in a few months' time.

Djed Spence

Djed Spence and Destiny Udogie are two very promising existing options that Spurs have at their disposal. Having been on the periphery early on in his time with the club, Spence enjoyed a breakthrough last season while the brilliant Udogie was injured.

They provide very different attributes for different occasions, which is very useful for the manager. An underrated aspect of keeping Spence is the full-back being one of Spurs’ few homegrown players, which threatens to cause the club problems in Europe.

Lucas Bergvall

Bringing in Lucas Bergvall for a mere £8.5m from Sweden last year seems more of a masterstroke with each passing day. The 19-year-old became a key player last term as an all-action midfielder, winning the Europa League and earning several internal club awards in the process.

The youngster continues to go from strength-to-strength and has more than earned a shot at keeping his place once Spurs look to bring in new additions.

Kobbie Mainoo

If recent reports are anything to go by, Kobbie Mainoo is a man desperate to get out of Manchester United. The Red Devils academy graduate enjoyed a fast start to life at Old Trafford, scoring an FA Cup winner and earning his first England caps, but has since fallen out of favour with head coach Ruben Amorim.

With the likes of Chelsea and Napoli interested in his services, the 20-year-old reportedly made it clear that he wanted to leave United in the summer but the club blocked his departure. His increasing frustration and failure to agree a new deal in Manchester could allow Spurs the perfect opportunity to swoop in with the promise of reigniting his career.

Xavi Simons

Xavi Simons was a statement signing this summer, with the highly-rated Dutchman arriving for a fee of £51m from RB Leipzig after Spurs missed out on Eberechi Eze to rivals Arsenal. Simons is already turning heads with his ability to unlock defences and clever movement in-between the lines. The 22-year-old notched his first assist in the away win over West Ham and has plenty more to offer in north London.

Mohammed Kudus

Another summer addition was Mohammed Kudus, albeit far more controversially given his ties to the Hammers. The £55m Ghanaian is highly versatile, able to switch with Simons behind the striker but equally devastating on the right flank. He is proving to be a shrewd acquisition despite his price tag, notching four assists already in just five league appearances.

Harry Kane

Harry Kane’s departure from Tottenham was heart-breaking for the fans. But two years on, the England captain has achieved his dream of winning silverware with Bayern Munich.

Despite seemingly enjoying life in the Bundesliga and scoring goals for fun, it recently emerged that the 32-year-old has a clause in his contract which allows him to leave the German club for a reduced fee of £56.7m next summer. However, he would reportedly need to inform Bayern of his desire to leave before the end of the upcoming January transfer window.

Spurs’ new ownership would have to move fast to complete their takeover before then to signal their intent to Kane. And while he wouldn't arrive in January, he technically would have agreed to sign by then.

Kane is still believed to be eyeing Alan Shearer’s Premier League goals record, which could aid the club’s chances of completing a deal. And there are no question marks about his ability, with Kane still being regarded as one of the world’s elite centre-forwards.

Rafael Leao

With the departure of Son Heung-min, there is scope for a world class left-winger like Rafael Leao to arrive and devastate opposition defences for the Lilywhites. Spurs were linked with the electric Portuguese winger towards the end of the recent summer window, but the 26-year-old ended up staying put.

Leao missed the start of this season due to a calf injury but is now back in full training. And there is now doubting his skill, having ended last term with 12 goals and 13 assists in 50 appearances.

He is under contract until 2028, meaning Milan would demand a hefty sum. But such a talismanic player would be the perfect chance for the club’s new ownership to bring about a new era. It would immediately signal their ambition and financial might, in a similar vein to Manchester City’s signing of Robinho in 2008.
