System Of A Down have announced their first UK show since 2017 - Kerrang!
Description

After nine years away, System Of A Down will be returning to the UK next summer for a monumental show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

Taking place on Monday, July 13, 2026, the nu-metal heavyweights will be joined in the 60,000-capacity stadium by their friends in Queens Of The Stone Age – fresh off a summer at Victorious and Rock N Roll Circus – and the recently reformed Acid Bath, making their long-long-awaited live debut in the UK.

SOAD began to tease this mega-gig earlier in the week, when various projections popped up around London. And it’s certainly something worth going big on the promo for: the band haven’t played on these shores since their Download 2017 headline set. Before then, their last own proper UK gig was a full decade ago, at London’s Wembley Arena in 2015.

It’s very likely that System won’t be bringing any new material with them by the time this Tottenham Hotspur Stadium show rolls around, though. Speaking to Kerrang! in July, Daron Malakian said that, “I know people will hate for me to say this, but I’m not sure I want to make another System Of A Down record. We have those five records, which people still enjoy and we play live.

“I’m really enjoying being live onstage with System Of A Down. We’re all getting along really well. There was never hatred between us. The differences between us were more about the politics in the band and how different people wanted the band to move forward.”

Description

Pearl Jam have just announced the cancellation of their gig at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 29.

The Seattle legends performed at Manchester’s Co-op Live on Tuesday night (June 25) with an ill Eddie Vedder, and today they share that they won’t be able to perform tomorrow “based on our current health and also having to avoid further damage” – though, to be clear, their statement just refers “illness in the band” and not specifically the frontman.

“The Pearl Jam concert scheduled for Saturday, June 29 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London has regrettably been cancelled due to illness in the band,” reads a post on the band’s socials.

“This decision was the last thing we wanted to have to make, especially as we know so many of you made travel plans based on the tour schedule. There was simply no other option based on our current health and also having to avoid further damage.

“We couldn’t be more disappointed to not play one of our favourite cities this tour. Despite best efforts, rescheduling was not possible at this time due to existing schedule commitments.

“We are deeply grateful for your support and sincerely apologise to the incredible Pearl Jam community for the inconvenience and disappointment.

“Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.”

Get well soon, PJ.
