Tottenham Hotspur out-on-loan star Manor Solomon has expressed delight at Fiorentina’s win over, in his view, the biggest club in Italy, in the shape of Juventus.

Solomon arrived at Fiorentina in the second half of the season from Spurs, after a forgettable spell on loan at Villarreal.

The 26-year-old has made 15 appearances in Serie A, scoring two goals and providing one assist in the process.

He will most likely return to Spurs as ‘doubts have increased’ that La Viola might not trigger the option to buy clause to keep him in Italy.

Solomon played the full 90 minutes and bagged an assist in Fiorentina’s last game, where they defeated Juventus 2-0, with goals from Cher Ndour and Rolando Mandragora.

The Israeli international claimed that defeating in his view the biggest club in Italy and their fierce rivals is a very exciting feeling, while he is very proud of his team-mates.

The 26-year-old insisted that the victory was very important for the club, especially after La Viola secured their Serie A status in a difficult campaign.

Solomon was quoted as saying by Italian outlet Firenzeviola: “Yes, I’m happy because we beat Juventus, one of the best teams in the league.

“I’m very proud of my team-mates; we deserve it after such a tough season for everyone.

“Juve is the biggest club in Italy and everyone knows there’s a rivalry with Fiorentina.

“After staying up, it was important to come here and win. We’re very happy.”

Spurs are most likely to secure their Premier League status and Solomon will return to the club.

The Lilywhites are just two games away from Premier League survival after being locked in a relegation battle with West Ham United, who are currently 18th in the league and two points away from safety with only one game to go.

Spurs will travel to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday to lock horns with Chelsea, before returning home to face Everton on the final day.

Solomon will look to get minutes under manager Roberto De Zerbi after his return, as he has only featured six times for Tottenham since his arrival in the summer of 2023.

The right-footed left-winger has been on loan to Leeds United, Villarreal and Fiorentina, and is yet to make an impact at Spurs.

It remains to be seen whether Solomon will be able to fit into De Zerbi’s system and finally make his mark in the Premier League for Spurs.

Ex-Spurs Boss Cites 'In-depth Knowledge' Of Aston Villa For Final - Inside Futbol

Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank is excited that he will be a pundit on Denmark’s Disney+ for the Europa League final between Aston Villa and Freiburg and feels he has in-depth knowledge of Villa.

The 52-year-old manager was sacked by Spurs in February, following a disappointing run of games at the helm this season, which saw the club languishing dangerously in the bottom half of the table.

It was a difficult season for Frank at Spurs, especially following two strong seasons as the head coach of Brentford, in which he secured a comfortable mid-table finish for the Bees.

Frank’s reputation has taken a knock, but he remains a respected manager on the back of what he achieved at Brentford.

Tottenham sacked him while fighting for survival, something which former Spurs defender Steven Caulker did not want to happen.

Since his dismissal, Frank has not been associated with any other club, but he is keeping himself in the spotlight in his native Denmark.

The manager will be a pundit on Disney+ coverage of the Europa League final that Aston Villa will try to win on Wednesday night.

He insists he cannot wait for the final, which he is relishing.

Frank was quoted as saying by Danish outlet Bold: “European finals are among the sporting highlights of the year. That’s how I’ve always felt.

“It’s not just a football match.

“It’s a celebration with hopeful fans and the biggest emotions at stake.

“I’m looking forward to doing the Europa League final on Disney+.

“It will be an extra spice that it is a final between an English and a German team.”

Frank regularly came up against Aston Villa in the Premier League during his time at Brentford and Tottenham and believes he has ‘in-depth knowledge’ of Villa.

The former Tottenham boss believes that Aston Villa are amongst the Premier League’s best, but is not writing off Freiburg.

“I have played against Aston Villa over ten times in my time as a coach in England and have an in-depth knowledge of the club.

“They are a team that have developed in recent years to be among the best in the Premier League.

“On paper, Aston Villa are favourites, but again: European finals have a life of their own.”

Frank took over a Europa League winning side in the shape of Tottenham last summer.

He will believe his time with Tottenham could have turned out differently, insisting Spurs need consistency over ‘quick fixes’ to become successful.

But Frank was unable to deliver consistency, which ultimately resulted in his dismissal, and a former Spurs star claimed the Dane was not the right man for the Lilywhites.

Now, Frank is looking forward to relishing in his new role as a pundit in the Europa League final between Aston Villa and Freiburg, which is scheduled for 20th May.

Manor Solomon Expected To Return To Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur look set to have Manor Solomon returning to the club this summer as ‘doubts have increased’ at Fiorentina, leading to the club being expected to pass up on their option to buy.

The 26-year-old arrived in Florence after spending the first half of the campaign in Spain with Villarreal, where he struggled for regular minutes.

La Viola were battling relegation concerns when Solomon arrived and the winger expressed confidence about helping the club move away from danger.

The Italian outfit ultimately managed to pull clear of relegation trouble, though Solomon’s spell in Tuscany has not unfolded in the way either side had initially hoped.

The winger made an encouraging start to life in Florence, showing enough promise to convince Fiorentina to begin considering setting aside the amount required to sign him permanently in the summer.

However, after scoring in back-to-back Serie A matches against Napoli and Torino, Solomon suffered a hamstring injury during the Conference League clash against Polish club Jagiellonia Bialystok in February.

He returned in April but has since struggled to make the same level of impact following the setback, meaning ‘doubts have increased’ at Fiorentina, according to Italian outlet Firenzeviola.

Across 18 appearances for La Viola, Solomon has managed four goal involvements, with the latest being an assist on Sunday in his side’s 2-0 win at rivals Juventus.

Despite that Fiorentina are not expected to trigger the option to buy in the loan agreement, leading to Solomon heading back to Tottenham.

There were already question marks around his future at the club alongside fellow loanee Jack Harrison from Leeds United, as La Viola weighed up whether to move forward with permanent deals for the pair.

What Tottenham have planned for Solomon remains to be seen, but the Israel international will find a new manager in north London in the shape of Roberto De Zerbi.

The Italian tactician could give Solomon a chance to impress and stake his claim over the course of pre-season.

Fiorentina’s option to buy Solomon is around the €10m mark, which may indicate what Tottenham would consider to be an acceptable amount to sell the winger this summer.

Whether La Viola might be tempted to offer Tottenham a much lower amount remains to be seen.

Tottenham Star Wanted But Club Want To Spread Payments

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Alfie Devine is wanted on a permanent basis by Preston North End, however the Championship side need to agree a payment plan, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Devine has spent the season on loan at Deepdale and made an impression while featuring on a regular basis under Paul Heckingbottom.

Heckingbottom admitted as quickly as October that he was loving what Devine was bringing to the table at Preston.

The feelings went both ways, with the Spurs talent revealing in December that he was loving life at the Championship side.

Preston have seen more than enough to want to keep the Tottenham midfielder and did agree a price of £4.5m with Spurs last summer that they could trigger.

While Preston agreed the price though, they have not agreed the payment plan and need to do that with the north London side before the transfer can proceed.

It is suggested that Preston feel they could afford the £4.5m transfer fee ‘if it is spread over three or four years’.

Whether that will prove to be acceptable to Tottenham is unclear, though spreading payment plans over instalments is typical in transfer deals.

Loan club Country Port Vale England Plymouth Argyle England Westerlo Belgium Preston North End England Alfie Devine’s loan spells

North End finished in 14th in the Championship this season after a promising start faded away as the campaign wore on.

Devine was regularly handed games by Heckingbottom and despite being just 21 years old, missed just one Championship outing over the course of the campaign.

The Tottenham talent also scored eight times and provided seven assists for his team-mates, proving to be an effective weapon from his attacking midfield role.

Born in Warrington, joining Preston permanently would represent a return to the north west for Devine.

He has had a number of loan spells away from Tottenham to further his development.

Time at Plymouth Argyle saw Devine hailed for his tactical brain by Argyle’s then boss Ian Foster.

And in Belgium, at Westerlo, Devine explained that he felt well supported by Tottenham amid talks with Ange Postecoglou.

If Tottenham reach an agreement with Preston though, Devine’s time at Tottenham will come to a permanent end.

It remains to be seen if Tottenham might want to include a sell-on clause in the deal with Preston, or potentially even a buy-back clause or right of first refusal clause in the event the midfielder kicks on hugely over the coming seasons.

'Because Tottenham Have Made Enquiries'

Tottenham Hotspur have asked about defender Tarik Muharemovic and that has pushed Inter Milan to accelerate their interest in Oumar Solet.

Spurs are expected to undergo significant changes in the summer transfer window if they survive in the Premier League, with arrivals and departures.

Defence could see departures, with Radu Dragusin tipped to leave amid interest from three clubs, while there remain question marks over Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.

Tottenham have been looking at potential reinforcements and are showing interest in Sassuolo’s Muharemovic.

Inter have accelerated their move for another defender in the shape of Udinese’s Solet ‘partly because Tottenham have made enquiries’ about the Sassuolo player, according to Italian outlet FcInternews.it.

Inter want to sign at least one centre-back this summer and may even need two, but appear to be wary of Tottenham moving for Muharemovic, leading to a renewed focus on Solet.

Solet is also of interest to Newcastle United, who have been monitoring him.

Sassuolo are suggested to want €25m for Muharemovic, while Udinese want between €25m and €30m for Solet.

Club Years Wolfsberger 2020-2021 Juventus 2021-2025 Sassuolo (loan) 2024-2025 Sassuolo 2025- Tarik Muharemovic’s career history

Muharemovic, 23, is a Bosnia international and spent time at Juventus before moving to Sassuolo, initially on loan.

The defender helped Sassuolo to win promotion from Serie B last season and then secure their status in Serie A this term.

He has been included in the Bosnia squad for this summer’s World Cup and good performances in North America could see more clubs show interest in him.

Tottenham could do much of their shopping in Italian football this summer.

They are showing interest in Fiorentina midfielder Nicolo Fagioli, but La Viola are reluctant to let him go.

De Zerbi is also suggested to want to bring in two players from Roma in the shape of goalkeeper Mile Svilar and midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini.

Muharemovic’s Bosnai have been put in Group B at the World Cup, alongside Canada, Qatar and Switzerland.
