Tottenham Hotspur have now sanctioned a loan move to Hamburg for highly rated defender Luka Vuskovic, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Spurs agreed a deal with Hajduk Split in 2023 to sign Vuskovic, then 16 years old, and he joined the London outfit this summer after a superb loan spell at Westerlo in Belgium, where the club’s vice president praised him.

The Croatian is very highly rated at Spurs and he featured for Tottenham in their pre-season games, as well as being on the bench at Manchester City.

Thomas Frank has made Kevin Danso’s loan move permanent this summer and brought in Japanese youngster Kota Takai to the club.

Vuskovic is unlikely to get regular game time at Spurs with the current competition for the spots in Tottenham’s centre-back department.

Hamburg showed interest in taking Vuskovic on loan and the defender was said to be in favour of a move.

However, a deal needed to be struck with Tottenham so that they could take the young defender on loan.

Last week it was suggested that Vuskovic is closing in on a loan exit, as Hamburg are expected to agree a deal with the London giants.

Now it has been claimed that Hamburg ‘get the green light’ from Tottenham for him to sign for them on loan for the season.

Vuskovic’s loan deal will have no option-to-buy clause in it, as Frank considers him a key player for the future.

The Tottenham star’s brother, Mario, also plays for Hamburg and Vuskovic will be hoping to hit the ground running after finalising his move to them.

Due to the delay of the deal Hamburg were considering other options and held talks with two players but now the deal is going through.

If all goes well then Vuskovic will be keen to rack up as many games as possible in Germany to impress Frank and get into his plans for next season.

Girona are confident that they will be able to complete a deal for Tottenham Hotspur star Bryan Gil this week, with his other suitors having ‘faded away’.

Tottenham signed Gil from Sevilla in the summer of 2021 and he arrived in north London as a highly rated young winger.

Gil has featured in 43 games for Spurs in his career, but has never scored a goal while spending a large part of his Tottenham career on loan with Spanish clubs.

Last season, Spurs sanctioned a loan deal for Gil to join Girona and he featured 25 times for them as his season ended early due to a ligament injury.

Gil impressed Girona during his loan spell, but the Spanish outfit did not trigger the option-to-buy clause they had in his loan deal, as they found it to be too expensive.

The 24-year-old is not in the plans of Thomas Frank and the north London outfit want to offload him during the window.

Now as the transfer window enters the crunch period, the La Liga outfit are once again showing their willingness to sign Gil, but they want Tottenham to terminate his contract to facilitate a move.

According to Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo, Girona are confident that they will be able to complete the signing of Gil within this week.

Girona have already seen a deal for Alex Moreno being done as Aston Villa terminated his contract to let the player join the Spanish outfit and they want to follow the similar formula with the Spurs winger.

While Gil has had interest from clubs other than Girona, it is suggested that it has ‘faded away’, boosting the Spanish side’s hopes.

The La Liga outfit are hoping that Gil will be able to force a move out of Spurs as he is in the final year of his contract with them.

Gil last featured for Tottenham in February 2024 when he came on as a substitute in the game against Everton.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma, who has been of interest to Everton and West Ham United, is ‘set to join’ Turkish giants Galatasaray, with the talks at the ‘final stage’.

Bissouma has fallen out of favour with new Spurs boss Thomas Frank and a move away from north London has looked set to be on the cards.

It has appeared though that remaining in English football was the midfielder’s preference as he was keen to acquire British citizenship.

Everton and West Ham, who are both in the market for midfielders, have been monitoring his situation at Tottenham, but now he is set to be off the table as an option.

Bissouma is ‘set to join’ Galatasaray, according to French journalist Fabrice Hawkins, with talks now at the ‘final stage’.

Personal terms have already been agreed between Bissouma and Galatasaray.

Now Galatasaray will look to get the move over the line and guard against any late hijack attempt.

Everton are shopping for midfield reinforcements and have recently had a bid rejected by West Ham for Tomas Soucek.

West Ham are also hunting midfielders to back Graham Potter and Monaco’s Soungoutou Magassa is someone they are moving to sign.

The Hammers have also gone in with a loan offer to Nottingham Forest for Ibrahim Sangare.

Whether Spurs will look to land a replacement for Bissouma when he goes remains to be seen, as do the exact terms of his departure for Turkey.

At Galatasaray, Bissouma will see former Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Davinson Sanchez, who has flourished at the Turkish club.

Leroy Sane also joined the Istanbul giants earlier this summer, while Victor Osimhen was landed on a permanent deal from Napoli as part of some very impressive business done by Galatasaray.
