Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has been linked with a move away from the club this month and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing him.

The 27-year-old has not been at his best and he has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot under Ruben Amorim. Multiple European clubs are keen on securing his signature. According to Chris Wheeler from Daily Mail, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, and Juventus are interested in signing the player. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can beat the competition for his signature.

Manchester United have been linked with the French International attacker Randal Kolo Muani, and it is no surprise that Rashford is being linked with an exit.

Spurs could certainly use more cutting-edge in the final third and a versatile attacker like Rashford would be the ideal acquisition. He is capable of operating anywhere across the front three, and he will help create goalscoring opportunities and get on the score sheet as well.

Moreover, he is at the peak of his powers and he is a proven performer in the Premier League.

Rashford could transform Spurs

Rashford has shown his quality in the Premier League over the years, and there is no doubt that he is one of the best attackers in the country. If he manages to regain his top form, he could be an asset for Tottenham.

The 27-year-old has the quality to transform the London club in the attack. He could form a quality partnership with the likes of Son Heung-min and Dominic Solanke.

Leeds in pole position to sign Tottenham hero in bargain deal

Although Tottenham have ongoing defensive struggles, there’s every chance that Ben Davies could be snapped up by Leeds in the transfer window.

Daniel Farke had hinted that Leeds would make signings this month, and with Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham future uncertain, it could be the right time for Davies to look for pastures new.

According to Ben Jacobs, speaking on the Last Word on Spurs podcast, a move for the 31-year-old could be one to watch.

Ben Davies could join Leeds in January

“With Ben Davies, I think that he will also be gone. And the same for Fraser Forster as well,” he said.

“With Davies, the natural thing is to run down the contract. Leeds United remain interested. So that could be one to watch in the coming weeks.

“But I think that with Kinsky arriving, Forster falls down the pecking order.

The Welshman has made just 11 appearances in all competitions this season (transfermarkt) totalling a paltry 849 minutes.

It’s true that his current deal runs out in June allowing him to pick and choose where he goes next, and as a free transfer that still makes him an attractive proposition despite his age.

Leeds look to have green light to sign brilliant teen!

However, with Leeds currently top of the Championship and going well, there’s every possibility that if the all whites were to land the experienced centre-back in January, he could help them back into the Premier League by the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

No official bid for Ben Davies at present

There’s no official bid that’s been lodged with the North Londoners at this stage, but with Spurs Web rating him in the £10m bracket, he’d certainly be a bargain capture for Daniel Farke.

With just under three weeks left for any deal to be completed, there’s plenty of time to get it over the line.

If Ange Postecoglou isn’t going to use Davies in Spurs’ hour of need, then surely it’s best for all parties to allow him to move on.

Tottenham urged to sign Caoimhin Kelleher

Tottenham Hotspur have been advised to consider an immediate move for Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher to address their ongoing goalkeeping issues.

With Guglielmo Vicario sidelined since November due to ankle surgery, Spurs have relied on veteran Fraser Forster, whose contract expires at the end of the season.

The North London club recently made their first signing of 2025, bringing in 21-year-old Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague. And he made an impressive debut in the League Cup semi-final first leg against Liverpool, producing a stunning performance in a 1-0 win for Spurs.

Tottenham urged to sign Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher

Despite the signing of Kinsky, John Wenham, Tottenham insider and owner of Lilywhite Rose, has urged Tottenham to act swiftly and sign Kelleher this month instead of waiting until the summer.

Wenham emphasised the urgency of securing a proven goalkeeper like Kelleher this month rather than waiting until the summer:

Speaking to Tottenham News, Wenham said:

“If there was a plan to get a genuine alternative to Vicario in the summer, then those plans should be brought forward.

“The club have got the money to do it now. Therefore, I don’t understand why they wouldn’t. Those in control need to realise the significance of the situation we are in and spend some money.

“For example, it looks as though Kelleher might be available this summer, with Giorgi Mamardashvili due to arrive at the club and Alisson likely to stick around. Therefore, go and sign him now, pay the money.”

Kelleher has built a reputation for his calmness under pressure and reliability in goal. Since joining Liverpool’s academy in 2015, the Irish international has delivered standout performances despite serving as Alisson Becker’s understudy.

He played a pivotal role in Liverpool’s 2022 EFL Cup triumph, famously scoring the winning penalty in the penalty shootout against Chelsea, becoming a fan favourite at Anfield.

This season, Kelleher once again stepped up during the absence of Allison Becker and performed admirably, making some brilliant saves including a penalty from Mbappe during Liverpool’s 2-0 win vs Madrid.

Kelleher himself has been keen on a move away from Liverpool in search of regular first-team football. In fact, Nottingham Forest tried to sign him in the summer but the Reds turned down an offer.

And while he remains keen on leaving convincing Kelleher to make the switch to Spurs could prove challenging. Given Vicario’s presence, the Irishman may not join Spurs unless he is promised a start ahead of the Italian.

Tottenham Hotspur have had a collective dip in form of late, so news that Son Heung-min’s contract has been extended will be a real boost for the North Londoners.

According to the official Tottenham Hotspur website, Son Heung-min will now be tied to the club until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Ever since signing for the Premier League outfit in 2015, the South Korean’s star has been in the ascendancy, as 169 goals for the Lilywhites would attest.

Tottenham extend Son Heung-min’s contract

La Liga giants, Atletico Madrid, were already planning a raid, in the hope of landing the 32-year-old, and Tottenham have also been linked with another attacker recently.

Whilst that might have hinted that the club were possibly looking to replace their star man, the announcement puts paid to any notion of a move for Son.

It’s a glimmer of hope in a season that’s fast becoming one that might well end in Ange Postecoglou‘s sacking if he’s unable to pull Spurs out of the mire.

One win in the last eight Premier League games – against bottom placed Southampton – has seen Tottenham plummet to 12th position and just three points ahead of 15th.

Son Heung-min will stay at Tottenham until 2026

The Carabao Cup has given the squad some respite, albeit they face in-form Liverpool in the semi-finals and, if current form is anything to go by, they face an uphill struggle to win the two-legged tie.

As club captain and stalwart of the club, it’s on Son to lead his team to Wembley and give the club their best chance of silverware in years.

If the club can also land one or two new signings in the January transfer window, things could soon be looking up for Postecoglou and his charges.

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Mikey Moore has been sidelined since October due to an illness that has raised concerns among fans.

The 17-year-old attacker, who has had a breakthrough season under manager Ange Postecoglou, impressed during pre-season and earned eight senior appearances across all competitions before his illness struck.

‘Outstanding’ Moore earned the praise of manager Ange Postecoglou with his performances, which saw him even go ahead of Timo Werner in the pecking order at one point.

His last appearance came in Spurs’ League Cup clash against Manchester City, and since then, he has missed 14 matches—a significant setback in his young career.

Dr Rajpal Brar shares latest on Mikey Moore

Injury expert Dr. Rajpal Brar has now weighed in on the teenager’s condition, shedding light on the potential impact of the illness on Moore’s fitness.

Dr. Brar’s comments suggest that Moore’s recovery may take longer than initially anticipated, with the illness likely affecting his physical conditioning and readiness for match action.

Discussing the player’s illness, he told Tottenham News:

“This really comes down to what he has or hasn’t been able to do while ill.

“If he’s been in bed and not eating, then that can significantly impact his fitness levels and conditioning which requires a longer runway.

“Based on his absence, it does sound on the more severe side and he may still be out for multiple games.“

Mikey Moore – Tottenham’s rising star

Mikey Moore’s journey has been nothing short of remarkable. Joining Tottenham’s academy at the age of nine, the youngster quickly climbed through the ranks, becoming a standout player for the U17 and U18 teams.

During his time with the U18s, Moore scored an astounding 19 goals and provided 13 assists in just 24 games, showcasing his immense talent. He made history in May 2024 by becoming Tottenham’s youngest-ever Premier League player at just 16 years and 277 days.

Likened to Neymar, he is considered one of the biggest talents emerging out of the academy since Harry Kane.

Tottenham supporters will hope that Moore’s illness is not a long-term issue and that he can continue his path toward becoming a top-class player for the club.

Tottenham Hotspur have officially announced their first signing of 2025, securing highly-rated goalkeeper Antonín Kinský from Slavia Prague for a reported fee in excess of £10 million. The move addresses the club’s immediate need for reinforcements in goal amid a growing injury crisis.

The North London club have faced significant challenges between the posts this season. First-choice goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario is sidelined with a fractured ankle, leaving a depleted pool of options.

While Forster stepped in for several matches, Brandon Austin was handed a rare start against Newcastle, emphasising on the need for reinforcements.

The need to bolster the goalkeeping position has been seen as a priority for Spurs, with Sky Sports reporting yesterday that the North London club are closing in on the signing of Antonín Kinský.

Fabrizio Romano also reported that the club are on the verge of signing the goalkeeper who arrived in London to undergo his medical, with verbal agreement done between all parties.

“Tottenham are on the verge of signing Slavia Prague GK Antonín Kinsky, he’s in London today for medical to follow — as @infotbal reveals.Verbal agreement done between all parties involved including player side, Kinski should undergo medical after today’s game..”

The transfer expert shared another update today, confirming that all documents have been completed, paving the way for the 21-year-old to officially become Tottenham’s first signing of 2025.

He took to X to share the following:

“Tottenham completed all the documents for first 2025 signing, Antonin Kinsky. 2003 born goalkeeper will join from Slavia Prague for fee in excess of £10m, contract now also completed.

More players are being targeted by Spurs for upcoming days/weeks.”

And the club made the deal official, announcing the player earlier today on their official website and social media channels.

Tottenham expected to make more signings this month

Romano’s update will come as a boost for Tottenham as Spurs gear up to have a big transfer window.

The injuries have forced Spurs to enter the market and do early business to add depth to their squad.

With a goalkeeper sorted, they are now expected to look at bolstering the defence with 3 centre-backs out injured. Another attacker will also be seen as a key position to address.

Ben Godfrey completes Ipswich medical ahead of January move

Atalanta defender Ben Godfrey has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months.

The 26-year-old has struggled for regular game time at the Italian club and he has played a total of 93 minutes of first-team football this season. Clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and Ipswich were keen on securing his services this month.

Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that Ipswich are set to sign the player loan. The defender has already completed his medical with the club and the two clubs are expected to complete the formalities soon.

Spurs were hoping to add more depth to their defensive unit, and the development will certainly come as a blow for them. Godfrey would have been an inexpensive addition for them on loan during the second half of the season.

Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are currently sidelined with injuries and Tottenham need a partner for Radu Dragusin.

Godfrey has not been at his best for the Italian club, but a move to the Premier League could bring out the best in him. He has previously shown his quality in English football. A fresh start will be ideal for the defender.

Godfrey could help Ipswich improve

Meanwhile, Ipswich are fighting for survival in the Premier League and they have looked quite vulnerable defensively. They needed to sign a quality central defender, and it will be interesting to see if you Godfrey can make an instant impact and help them tighten up at the back.

Tottenham will need to plug the gaps in the defence before the January transfer window closes, and it remains to be seen whether they decide to move on to other targets now.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old defender will now look to get his career back on track with regular football in England.

Revealed: Tottenham lining up £16.5m transfer deal to solve defensive crisis

Description

Tottenham are looking for defensive reinforcements in this January’s transfer window after a major injury crisis in that department this season.

It’s been a hugely challenging campaign for Spurs so far, and Ange Postecoglou has been rather unlucky to have the likes of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven out for so long.

Sources have now informed CaughtOffside that this could lead Tottenham to pursue a deal for Udinese centre-back Thomas Kristensen this month, as he’s likely to be available for around £16.5million.

Tottenham closing in on FIRST January signing!

Leicester City and Bayer Leverkusen have also shown an interest in Kristensen after his recent strong performances in Serie A, CaughtOffside understands, but Tottenham clearly have an urgent need for a signing like this.

Thomas Kristensen to Tottenham transfer looks like one to watch

It’s currently felt that the strongest interest is coming from Tottenham, but it could remain an interesting saga to watch as other clubs might be able to better guarantee the 22-year-old regular playing time in the long term.

Even if Spurs need cover in defence right now, Kristensen might find it hard to establish himself as a regular starter once the likes of Romero and Van de Ven return to full fitness.

Leicester could perhaps be a better bet in that regard, though of course it could also be a bit of a gamble heading to the King Power Stadium while the Foxes look like they’re in a relegation battle.

New manager Ruud van Nistelrooy will no doubt want signings to boost his side’s hopes of staying up, but it won’t be easy to persuade top players to join when results and performances aren’t going well.

Kristensen looks a promising young defender and it would be exciting to see him test himself in the Premier League in the next phase of his career.

Fresh Tottenham blow: Destiny Udogie ruled out for two months

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have suffered a major blow with Destiny Udogie ruled out for eight weeks after sustaining a thigh injury during their 2-2 draw against Wolves.

The setback is the latest in a string of injuries that have plagued Ange Postecoglou’s squad this season.

The 22-year-old left-back, who had only recently returned from a hamstring injury, was forced off after 50 minutes at Molineux.

Fresh blow for Tottenham: Destiny Udogie out for 2 months

Manager Ange Postecoglou confirmed after the match that the injury was due to the heavy workload placed on a depleted squad (quotes via Football London):

“Yeah, I think it was a hamstring. Again like I said, we’ve been relying on a core group of players because we just haven’t had the ability to rotate so at some point it was going to catch up with us. Unfortunately, it caught up with Destiny.”

According to journalist Tom Barclay of The Sun, Udogie’s latest injury will sideline him for approximately eight weeks, though surgery will not be required. This is a relief for the defender, who had previously undergone surgery last season for a left quad injury that ruled him out for the remainder of the campaign and the Euros.

Tottenham’s growing injury list

Udogie’s absence adds to a growing list of injuries in Tottenham’s defensive ranks. Key players such as Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Ben Davies, and goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario are all sidelined. Additionally, Radu Dragusin has reportedly been playing through pain after tweaking his ankle vs Nottingham.

The defensive crisis could not come at a worse time, with Spurs set to face crucial fixtures, including the League Cup semi-finals against Liverpool and the North London derby against Arsenal.

Postecoglou is likely to urge the club to act quickly in the January transfer window to bring in reinforcements. The manager will also consider recalling players like Ashley Phillips from their loan spells to provide immediate cover.

Tottenham’s depth and resilience will be tested in the coming weeks, and their response in the January transfer market could play a big role in determining the trajectory of their season.

Timo Werner to leave Tottenham after falling out of Postecoglou's plans

Description

Tottenham are set to part ways with Timo Werner at the end of the season as the Premier League club do not plan on turning his loan deal into a permanent move.

The German star joined Spurs during the January transfer window and there was an option for the London outfit to keep the winger at the club permanently this summer for a fee of £15m. Tottenham opted to extend the 28-year-old’s loan deal by another season during the summer and that agreement would contain a buy clause worth only £8.5m.

Crystal Palace defender is admired by Tottenham

Despite this very low asking price, Spurs do not plan on turning Werner’s loan deal into a permanent transfer, reports BILD, meaning the former Chelsea star will return to RB Leipzig at the end of the current season.

This is a big blow for the German club and the player as they would have been hoping for an easy deal to take place next summer.

Ange Postecoglou clearly has no plans for the winger beyond the current campaign and instead will look to bring in someone else for the role, should the Australian remain in charge of the London outfit for the 2025/26 campaign.

Timo Werner is not part of future plans at Tottenham

Werner initially looked like he could be a useful tool to Tottenham as the German star’s energy suited Postecoglou’s intense attacking style of play.

However, the 28-year-old has failed to impress during the last year at Spurs, producing just three goals and six assists across 37 matches for the Lilywhites. The RB Leipzig loanee has failed to establish himself in Postecoglou’s best 11 and a recent match with Rangers left the Spurs boss fuming with Werner for his display.

This decision is not a surprise given the season the German winger is having and it leaves questions over where his career is heading next.
