Tottenham have officially announced that young striker Dane Scarlett has been recalled from his loan at Oxford United, as the club grapples with a difficult Premier League campaign and a growing injury crisis.

Spurs currently find themselves in 15th place in the Premier League table with just 24 points after 22 matches. Having won only seven games and suffered 12 defeats, the North London side is enduring one of its worst seasons in recent history.

The latest setback came in a 3-2 loss against relegation-threatened Everton. Despite late goals from Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison, Spurs were unable to recover from a disastrous first half that saw Everton score three times under new manager David Moyes.

The defeat has intensified pressure on Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou, whose tactics and leadership have faced sharp criticism. However, injuries to key players have also severely impacted his ability to field a competitive team.

Spurs’ injury list includes vital players such as Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero in defense, Ben Davies, winger Wilson Odobert, and summer signing Dominic Solanke in attack.

Tottenham announces early end to Dane Scarlett’s loan spell

The injury crisis had Ange urging the club to make necessary squad additions, admitting the players need help after the Everton defeat.

And while the club have been linked with several attackers this month, they have failed to sign anyone. They were strongly linked with a move for Randal Kolo Muani with reports stating that Levy even flew to France to negotiate a deal with PSG. However, the played decided to join Juventus on loan instead.

They have however today recalled their young striker Dane Scarlett from his loan at Oxford, officially confirming the move on their official website.

Scarlett joined the Championship side in August and made 22 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing one assist.

A product of Tottenham’s Academy, Scarlett first made waves with the U18s, where he netted 23 goals and provided four assists in just 23 matches. The striker hailed by Mourinho as ‘phenomenal’ debuted for the senior team in 2020 and has since made 17 appearances for the club.

Whether the club decide to use him as part of the squad given the current injury situation or send him out on loan elsewhere where he is ensured regular playing time remains to be seen.

Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to sign Milan Skriniar from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Slovakian has established himself as one of the best defenders in Europe, and he is being linked with a move to the Premier League this month. According to Football Insider, Tottenham are one of the clubs keen on him.

Aston Villa are keen on signing the 29-year-old central defender as well. It will be interesting to see where he ends up. He was linked with Newcastle United recently.

The 77-cap Slovakian international has not been able to make the desired impact at the French club, and they are prepared to let him leave. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can secure his services this month.

They need to add more defensive depth, especially with players like Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven injured. Radu Dragusin is the only fit central defender at the club right now. Spurs have looked vulnerable at the back and they need a reliable central defender.

The 29-year-old has proven his quality in European football over the last few years. He was exceptional during his time at Inter Milan. Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta described him as someone who is “absolutely top-class” before he left the Italians.

Skriniar could improve Tottenham

There is no doubt that he has the physicality to succeed in English football, and he could be an important player for Tottenham. He has the experience and the quality to make an instant impact in the Premier League as well.

Tottenham need quality players in order to push for trophies and secure Champions League qualification. A quality central defender this month could help them tighten up at the back and improve during the second half of the season. It remains to be seen whether they can beat the competition and secure his signature before the window closes.

Tottenham Hotspur have been handed the opportunity to sign the Lyon attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki this month.

The French outfit are going through financial difficulties and they are ready to sanction the departure of the 21-year-old attacking midfielder, as per GMS. The French midfielder has five goals and eight assists in all competitions this season and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for Tottenham.

The player has been linked with Liverpool as well. He could be available for just £19 million.

The North London club need to add more quality and depth to their attacking unit and Cherki would add goals and creativity to the side. His ability to create goal-scoring opportunities with his vision and technique could add a new dimension to the Tottenham attack.

Cherki is capable of operating in the wide areas as well as in the number ten role. He has the technical attributes to thrive in English football, and he could be an important asset for Tottenham going forward. The player is still only 21 and he will improve with coaching and experience. If Tottenham can get the deal done for a reasonable amount of money, the move could look like a bargain in the long term.

Rayan Cherki could fancy a move to Spurs

The opportunity to move to the Premier League could be an exciting one for the player and he will certainly fancy joining Tottenham. They have an exciting project and a talented squad. They have the resources to improve further and push for trophies in the coming seasons.

Tottenham have been linked with multiple attackers this month, and it will be interesting to see if they can improve the squad before the window closes. They will be desperate to finish in the top four and the right additions in January could help them finish the season strongly.

More woe for Ange Postecoglou as Tottenham ace demands lucrative move

Ange Postecoglou already has a number of injuries to his Tottenham players to deal with, and now striker, Richarlison, has demanded a transfer.

The Brazilian has scored 16 goals in his Spurs career and provided five assists (WhoScored) over his three seasons at the club.

It’s hardly a prolific output and to that end it was reported that Tottenham were willing to sell Richarlison in this transfer window.

Richarlison demanding Tottenham transfer

Despite interest in his services, it was originally thought that Richarlison wasn’t interested in a move, however, Football Insider now report that the striker has told friends that he wants to quit the North London outfit.

Moreover, he wants a move to the Saudi Pro League, where it’s believed he could earn himself a very lucrative deal.

It’s understood that there has been interest from the SPL before, although at this stage there is no confirmed bid forthcoming.

With the likes of Dominic Solanke, Brennan Johnson and Son Heung-min all dovetailing well in Tottenham’s attack at present, there’s little chance of Richarlison forcing his way back into the starting XI.

Spurs star on £90k P/W changes agencies amid transfer links!

Even Timo Werner, when fit, could be considered to be ahead of him in the pecking order.

The only question mark to any deal being successful is whether Spurs’ transfer fee becomes problematic.

Spurs could let injury-prone Richarlison leave

It can’t be forgotten that Richarlison has become somewhat injury prone with transfermarkt noting that since signing for the North Londoners, the Brazilian has had three separate hamstring injuries, two knee injuries, a calf injury, an unknown injury and groin surgery.

In total, he’s missed some 47 games in three seasons which isn’t great for a player that needs to find rhythm and form to his game.

At just 27, however, he still has plenty of time left in the game if he stays injury free, and the SPL will likely provide an easier pace.

Tottenham Hotspur are gearing up for an active January transfer window, both in terms of incoming signings and potential loan moves for their young players.

They have already secured the signing of 21-year-old goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague earlier this month.

A marquee signing could be on the horizon as well as Spurs intensify their efforts to land PSG star Randal Kolo Muani.

The French international has attracted interest from Juventus and Manchester United, but Tottenham are hopeful of beating their rivals to his signature. Reports suggest an initial offer has already been made, as chairman Daniel Levy leverages his strong ties with PSG officials to facilitate the deal.

Ange Postecoglou: Tottenham could loan out Will Lankshear

In addition to incomings, there are a few outgoings expected this month as well. However, given the club’s current injury crisis which has ruled several key first team players out of action, manager Ange Postecoglou has ruled out any significant exits, claiming that the club can not afford to lose any player at this point.

However, he has refused to rule out the possibility of loaning out a few young players and named attacker Will Lankshear as someone who the club is looking to loan out this month.

Speaking ahead of the clash against Arsenal, he said (via Football London):

“Yeah, we can’t afford to let anyone go at the moment. Some of the young players, Alfie Dorrington went out on loan and we will probably do similar for young Will (Lankshear) because he hasn’t really played a lot. Aside from that, we are looking at incomings if anything happens.”

Lankshear loan move on the cards

Lankshear was not loaned out in the summer after impressing Postecoglou during pre-season, earning a place in the first-team squad. However, he has struggled for consistent game time, making just four senior appearances and scoring his first goal in the Europa League match against Galatasaray.

Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to sign the Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi before the January transfer window closes.

According to a report from Inter Live, the midfielder is valued at around €45-50 million. Meanwhile, TV Play claims Tottenham are ready to pay €32 million (£27m) in order to sign the player this month.

It will be interesting to see if the Italian outfit are prepared to sanction his departure and accept the offer from Tottenham. Clubs like Napoli and AS Roma are keen on signing the midfielder as well, but they will not be able to match Inter Milan’s asking price. Therefore, Tottenham are currently leading the race to sign the player.

The report further states that the midfielder would prefer a move to Roma this month, but he would be keen on a move to Tottenham as well. The player is reportedly ready to pack his bags and move to the Premier League if the two clubs can agree on a deal.

Frattesi would be a quality signing

The 25-year-old has the tools to develop into a complete central midfielder for Tottenham. He will help control the game from the middle of the park and contribute defensively as well. The midfielder has struggled for regular game time at Inter Milan and he needs a fresh start. A move to the Premier League would be ideal for him. Tottenham could provide him with the opportunity to showcase his qualities regularly in the Premier League. Ample game time in England could accelerate his development and help him fulfil his tremendous potential.

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has been linked with a move away from the club this month and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing him.

The 27-year-old has not been at his best and he has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot under Ruben Amorim. Multiple European clubs are keen on securing his signature. According to Chris Wheeler from Daily Mail, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, and Juventus are interested in signing the player. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can beat the competition for his signature.

Manchester United have been linked with the French International attacker Randal Kolo Muani, and it is no surprise that Rashford is being linked with an exit.

Spurs could certainly use more cutting-edge in the final third and a versatile attacker like Rashford would be the ideal acquisition. He is capable of operating anywhere across the front three, and he will help create goalscoring opportunities and get on the score sheet as well.

Moreover, he is at the peak of his powers and he is a proven performer in the Premier League.

Rashford could transform Spurs

Rashford has shown his quality in the Premier League over the years, and there is no doubt that he is one of the best attackers in the country. If he manages to regain his top form, he could be an asset for Tottenham.

The 27-year-old has the quality to transform the London club in the attack. He could form a quality partnership with the likes of Son Heung-min and Dominic Solanke.

Leeds in pole position to sign Tottenham hero in bargain deal

Although Tottenham have ongoing defensive struggles, there’s every chance that Ben Davies could be snapped up by Leeds in the transfer window.

Daniel Farke had hinted that Leeds would make signings this month, and with Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham future uncertain, it could be the right time for Davies to look for pastures new.

According to Ben Jacobs, speaking on the Last Word on Spurs podcast, a move for the 31-year-old could be one to watch.

Ben Davies could join Leeds in January

“With Ben Davies, I think that he will also be gone. And the same for Fraser Forster as well,” he said.

“With Davies, the natural thing is to run down the contract. Leeds United remain interested. So that could be one to watch in the coming weeks.

“But I think that with Kinsky arriving, Forster falls down the pecking order.

The Welshman has made just 11 appearances in all competitions this season (transfermarkt) totalling a paltry 849 minutes.

It’s true that his current deal runs out in June allowing him to pick and choose where he goes next, and as a free transfer that still makes him an attractive proposition despite his age.

Leeds look to have green light to sign brilliant teen!

However, with Leeds currently top of the Championship and going well, there’s every possibility that if the all whites were to land the experienced centre-back in January, he could help them back into the Premier League by the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

No official bid for Ben Davies at present

There’s no official bid that’s been lodged with the North Londoners at this stage, but with Spurs Web rating him in the £10m bracket, he’d certainly be a bargain capture for Daniel Farke.

With just under three weeks left for any deal to be completed, there’s plenty of time to get it over the line.

If Ange Postecoglou isn’t going to use Davies in Spurs’ hour of need, then surely it’s best for all parties to allow him to move on.

Tottenham urged to sign Caoimhin Kelleher

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have been advised to consider an immediate move for Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher to address their ongoing goalkeeping issues.

With Guglielmo Vicario sidelined since November due to ankle surgery, Spurs have relied on veteran Fraser Forster, whose contract expires at the end of the season.

The North London club recently made their first signing of 2025, bringing in 21-year-old Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague. And he made an impressive debut in the League Cup semi-final first leg against Liverpool, producing a stunning performance in a 1-0 win for Spurs.

Tottenham urged to sign Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher

Despite the signing of Kinsky, John Wenham, Tottenham insider and owner of Lilywhite Rose, has urged Tottenham to act swiftly and sign Kelleher this month instead of waiting until the summer.

Wenham emphasised the urgency of securing a proven goalkeeper like Kelleher this month rather than waiting until the summer:

Speaking to Tottenham News, Wenham said:

“If there was a plan to get a genuine alternative to Vicario in the summer, then those plans should be brought forward.

“The club have got the money to do it now. Therefore, I don’t understand why they wouldn’t. Those in control need to realise the significance of the situation we are in and spend some money.

“For example, it looks as though Kelleher might be available this summer, with Giorgi Mamardashvili due to arrive at the club and Alisson likely to stick around. Therefore, go and sign him now, pay the money.”

Kelleher has built a reputation for his calmness under pressure and reliability in goal. Since joining Liverpool’s academy in 2015, the Irish international has delivered standout performances despite serving as Alisson Becker’s understudy.

He played a pivotal role in Liverpool’s 2022 EFL Cup triumph, famously scoring the winning penalty in the penalty shootout against Chelsea, becoming a fan favourite at Anfield.

This season, Kelleher once again stepped up during the absence of Allison Becker and performed admirably, making some brilliant saves including a penalty from Mbappe during Liverpool’s 2-0 win vs Madrid.

Kelleher himself has been keen on a move away from Liverpool in search of regular first-team football. In fact, Nottingham Forest tried to sign him in the summer but the Reds turned down an offer.

And while he remains keen on leaving convincing Kelleher to make the switch to Spurs could prove challenging. Given Vicario’s presence, the Irishman may not join Spurs unless he is promised a start ahead of the Italian.

min has had his contract extended by Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur have had a collective dip in form of late, so news that Son Heung-min’s contract has been extended will be a real boost for the North Londoners.

According to the official Tottenham Hotspur website, Son Heung-min will now be tied to the club until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Ever since signing for the Premier League outfit in 2015, the South Korean’s star has been in the ascendancy, as 169 goals for the Lilywhites would attest.

Tottenham extend Son Heung-min’s contract

La Liga giants, Atletico Madrid, were already planning a raid, in the hope of landing the 32-year-old, and Tottenham have also been linked with another attacker recently.

Whilst that might have hinted that the club were possibly looking to replace their star man, the announcement puts paid to any notion of a move for Son.

It’s a glimmer of hope in a season that’s fast becoming one that might well end in Ange Postecoglou‘s sacking if he’s unable to pull Spurs out of the mire.

One win in the last eight Premier League games – against bottom placed Southampton – has seen Tottenham plummet to 12th position and just three points ahead of 15th.

Son Heung-min will stay at Tottenham until 2026

The Carabao Cup has given the squad some respite, albeit they face in-form Liverpool in the semi-finals and, if current form is anything to go by, they face an uphill struggle to win the two-legged tie.

As club captain and stalwart of the club, it’s on Son to lead his team to Wembley and give the club their best chance of silverware in years.

If the club can also land one or two new signings in the January transfer window, things could soon be looking up for Postecoglou and his charges.
