“They have watched him a lot…”: Journalist confirms Tottenham are eyeing £44m attacker - CaughtOffside
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing the Belgian attacker Malick Fofana.

The 20-year-old has done quite well for Lyon, and Tottenham have been scouting him. They were interested in signing the player last summer as well, but a move did not go through.

According to Dean Jones, they have watched the player extensively and they could look to make a move for him in future. Arsenal and Liverpool are keeping tabs on Fofana as well.

Tottenham scouting Malick Fofana

Dean Jones said on TEAMtalk: “If there is a battle to sign Fofana then it will be interesting to see if Tottenham position themselves as part of it.

“They had a look at him in the build up to last summer but by the time they decided to go for him it was a bit too late to bring anything to life.

“They have watched him a lot across the calendar year and obviously we know Spurs are drawing up their list of attacking options at the moment for future windows, so he probably would figure within that.”

Spurs could use Fofana

It is no secret that Tottenham need more quality on the flanks. The Belgian is two-footed and he will add peace and unpredictability to the attack. He is only 20, and he could improve with coaching and experience. Fofana could develop into a top-class player for Tottenham with the right guidance.

Lyon will not want to lose him easily, and they could demand a premium. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to break the Bank for him. He would be a long-term acquisition for them, and he could justify the investment in future. Fofana is valued at £44 million.

The opportunity to move to England will be exciting for the Belgian. It would be a step up in his career, and he will look to prove himself at a higher level.

Liverpool and Tottenham keen on “untouchable” player from rival Premier League club - CaughtOffside
Description

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in the West Ham United attacker Jarrod Bowen.

The England International has been linked with a move away from West Ham in the past as well. However, a report from Football Insider claims that he is considered untouchable at the London club and they are unlikely to sanction his departure.

Pete O’Rourke explained: “He’s probably the one and only untouchable player in that squad right now.

“They need to keep him and Jarrod will be looking to build his team around him. He’s on a long-term contract until 2030, so it’s not like West Ham are under any real pressure to sell Jarrod Bowen as well.

“But, no surprise that clubs will be looking at him. Tottenham, Liverpool because even in that struggling side, he still scores goals and he’s a proven Premier League player.”

Liverpool could use someone like Jarrod Bowen

Liverpool could certainly use more quality on the flanks. They have not been able to replace Luis Diaz properly, and Mohamed Salah has not been at his best either. Bowen is a reliable performer in the Premier League, and he could make an instant impact. He will add goals and creativity to the side.

Similarly, Tottenham need more quality on the flanks. They need to add more unpredictability going forward.

Bowen could improve both teams

Bowen has shown his quality in the Premier League regularly with West Ham, and he could be open to a new challenge. The opportunity to join Liverpool or Tottenham will be hard to turn down for him. It would be a step up in his career, and he would get to experience UEFA Champions League football with them.

He will want to fight for major trophies, and joining a bigger club could be attractive for him. However, West Ham simply cannot afford to lose him. They are currently fighting for their survival in the Premier League, and losing their best player could send them down to the Championship.

It will be very difficult for Tottenham or Liverpool to convince West Ham to sell the player.

Chelsea & Man City eyeing €60m-rated star, as Tottenham back out due to wage demands - CaughtOffside
Description

Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo Goes has been linked with a move away from the Spanish club in January.

Manchester City and Chelsea are hoping to sign the 24-year-old attacker, and he is valued at €60 million right now. It will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done.

Man City and Chelsea keen on Rodrygo Goes

Manchester City are currently leading the race for his signature, as per TEAMtalk.

They are looking to add more quality and depth to the attacking unit, and the Brazilian could be the ideal addition. He is capable of operating anywhere across the front three, and he will score goals and create opportunities for his teammates.

Meanwhile, Chelsea could use more depth in the attack as well. It will be interesting to see if they are willing to pay the asking price for the player.

Meanwhile, the report claims that Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank is an admirer of Rodrygo. The north London outfit were keen on securing his signature, but his wage demands have made it difficult for them to pursue the move.

The Brazilian is reportedly demanding wages of around €10 million per season.

Manchester City and Chelsea certainly have more financial resources compared to Tottenham. It remains to be seen whether they come forward with an official proposal to get the deal done in January.

Arsenal have been linked with Rodrygo recently.

Rodrygo needs a move

Convincing the Brazilian to join the club will not be difficult. He is desperate to leave Real Madrid so that he can play more often. Sitting on the bench at the Spanish club will not benefit him. With the World Cup coming up in 2026, he will want to be a part of the Brazilian national team.

Regular football in England will be ideal for the player, and the likes of Manchester City or Chelsea could help him get back to his best.

Just In: Tottenham move for Rodrygo is being blocked because of one reason - CaughtOffside
Description

Rumours linking Tottenham Hotspur with a move for Real Madrid winger Rodrygo Goes have been played down, with reports from Spain suggesting that the north London club are not actively pursuing the Brazilian due to the financial complexities of such a deal.

According to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg, Tottenham’s interest in Rodrygo has been overstated, and sources close to the player insist that no formal approach has been made.

While the club is known to be exploring high-profile attacking options ahead of the January transfer window, the 24-year-old’s situation at the Santiago Bernabéu makes any potential transfer highly unlikely.

Tottenham cannot match Rodrygo’s salary demands

Rodrygo remains under contract with Real Madrid until June 2028. Spurs, who have made significant strides in balancing their finances are reluctant to break their carefully managed salary model for any single player.

From a sporting perspective, Rodrygo’s status at Madrid has also evolved this season. Under Xabi Alonso, the Brazilian has faced tougher competition for starting minutes.

However, club president Florentino Pérez and the Madrid hierarchy still view him as an integral part of the team’s future, particularly due to his versatility and experience on the biggest stage.

Tottenham, as of now, have no chance of signing the Brazilian attacker due to his salary demands.

Spurs are targeting attacking players

Tottenham’s focus is likely to remain on more attainable targets unless circumstances at Madrid change drastically in the coming months.

Manager Thomas Frank is reportedly looking at a number of attacking options ahead of the January transfer window to bolster his team’s attacking options.

Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye is on the radar of Spurs after his impressive start to the Premier League season.

Juventus star Jonathan David is another player who has attracted attention from Spurs.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Everton attacker Iliman Ndiaye.

The 25-year-old has done quite well for Everton, and Tottenham have now turned their attention towards Ndiaye.

Arsenal are also keen on Ndiaye.

Tottenham looking at Iliman Ndiaye

They were initially keen on signing Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa, but he has signed a new deal with the club. It will be difficult for Tottenham to sign Rogers anymore.

They are now looking at Ndiaye as a potential alternative, as per Fichajes. The player is valued at around £60-£70 million. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can get the deal done. He’s capable of operating on either flank, and he will add goals, flair, and unpredictability to the side.

The opportunity to join Tottenham could be tempting for him, but convincing his club to sell will be difficult. Everton are looking to build a team capable of competing in the top half regularly, and they will not want to sell one of their best attacking players.

Spurs need players like Ndiaye

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to test their resolve with an offer in the coming months. They have done well to bring in several talented players in recent windows. They are looking to improve the team further.

They have had a mixed start to the season so far, and it will be interesting to see if they can bring in the necessary additions in January and perform at a higher level during the second half of the campaign. They will look to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League, and they will look to do well in the UEFA Champions League as well.

Ndiaye is at the peak of his career, and he will certainly want to compete at the highest level. The move to Tottenham could be ideal for him as well.

Chelsea and Tottenham in constant contact to sign “excellent” forward in January - CaughtOffside
Description

Jonathan David has been linked with a move away from the Italian club. Juventus and Premier League clubs are keen on him.

Chelsea and Tottenham are in constant contact to sign the 25-year-old Canadian International. According to a report from Italian publication Tuttosport, the two clubs have been making enquiries in recent weeks, and it will be interesting to see if they come forward with an official proposal to sign him.

Jonathan David has been underwhelming

The striker joined Juventus on a free transfer at the start of the season, but he has not been able to score goals consistently. The Italian outfit could consider selling him. He has been linked with multiple clubs, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Chelsea have recently signed a couple of strikers, and investing in another attacker would be a surprise. They should look to improve their defensive unit instead.

Spurs could use David

On the other hand, Tottenham are in desperate need of another striker. Dominic Solanke and Richarlison have not been able to live up to the expectations, and they need more support in the attack. Signing the Canadian International could prove to be a wise decision. He has shown his quality in France before the move to Italy, and there is no doubt that he has the technical attributes to succeed in England.

Perhaps a fresh start would be ideal for him right now. Joining the north London outfit could bring out the best in the player once again. David is highly rated across Europe, and Zinedine Zidane recently hailed him as an “excellent” player.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can get the deal done. If they manage to sign him for a reasonable amount of money, it could prove to be a shrewd investment. The player is still relatively young, and he could improve with coaching and experience. He could develop into a top-class Premier League forward.

Huge blow for Tottenham as journalist confirms injury to attacker ‘more serious than expected’ - CaughtOffside
Description

Tottenham were left frustrated after conceding a late equaliser against Manchester United, drawing 2-2 in a dramatic Premier League clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

United took the lead in the first half through Bryan Mbeumo, who finished clinically to give the visitors the perfect start.

Despite creating numerous chances, Spurs struggled to find a breakthrough until the 84th minute when Mathys Tel’s effort deflected off Matthijs de Ligt and nestled into the back of the net.

Moments later, Tottenham thought they had won it. Substitute Richarlison scored in the 91st minute, sending the home crowd into a frenzy.

However, Man United had the final say, De Ligt rose highest in the 96th minute to head home and seal a dramatic point for the visitors.

It was the second successive league game in which United scored a late goal to earn a vital draw.

Kolo Muani injury adds to Tottenham’s frustration

Adding to Tottenham’s woes, forward Randal Kolo Muani suffered an injury during the first half following an aerial duel with Harry Maguire.

The Frenchman, who was making his third consecutive Premier League start, attempted to continue but was substituted at halftime for Wilson Odobert.

Initial assessments suggested the injury was minor, with Thomas Frank initially downplaying concerns, calling it “nothing big.”

However, further examinations on Sunday revealed that Kolo Muani has suffered a fractured jaw, according to journalist Fabrice Hawkins.

As a result, the 26-year-old has been withdrawn from the French national team ahead of the international break and is expected to be sidelined for an extended period, a major setback for Tottenham.

Randal Kolo Muani’s difficult start to life in Premier League

It has been a challenging start to life in the Premier League for Kolo Muani, who joined Spurs on loan from Paris Saint-Germain during the summer.

The French striker has already missed 11 matches through injury this season, limiting his ability to adapt to the physical demands of English football.

Despite his struggles, Kolo Muani’s quality is unquestionable, having consistently performed across top European leagues.

Spurs will be hoping for a swift recovery for their forward, who remains one of the most talented young strikers in Europe. If he can regain full fitness, Kolo Muani could still play a key role in Tottenham’s push for a top-four finish this season.

Defender ready to reject Liverpool and sign Tottenham deal - CaughtOffside
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been handed a major boost in their efforts to keep hold of star defender Micky van de Ven, amid growing interest from Liverpool and Real Madrid, according to leading transfer journalist Graeme Bailey.

Both European giants are believed to be in the market for a new centre-back in 2026, with Van de Ven emerging as a top target after his stellar performances.

Since joining Spurs from Wolfsburg in 2023, the Dutchman has become one of the Premier League’s fastest and most reliable defenders, praised for his pace and recovery ability.

Liverpool are said to be particularly interested as they plan for life beyond Ibrahima Konaté, whose current deal runs out at the end of next season.

Liverpool have been impressed with Micky van de Ven

Arne Slot is an admirer of Van de Ven’s style of play, viewing him as an ideal fit for his aggressive, ball-playing system.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid have also been monitoring the 24-year-old as they continue their long-term succession planning for veterans like David Alaba and Antonio Rüdiger.

However, Tottenham remain optimistic about retaining their defensive talisman.

Bailey told TBR:

“A new deal for Van de Ven is emerging as one of Tottenham’s priorities under Vinai Venkatesham’s reign, and talks have already been taking place since the summer.

“But this is both ways, Van de Ven is very happy at Tottenham, he has settled in brilliantly since he arrived, having now emerged as one of the Premier League’s best, and his partnership with Cristian Romero is on par with anything in the game.

“Romero plays a part here; his decision not to seek a move in the summer has an impact on Van de Ven, who is ready to follow in his steps and sign, and he will be rewarded with similar terms to those of his Argentine colleague.

“Yes, both Spurs and Van de Ven are aware of interest; there is no denying that. Spurs believe he is one of the best anywhere in Europe, and they are recognising this with this prospective new deal. Talks are set to accelerate this month.”

Tottenham on the verge of offering new contract

Spurs are already preparing to offer Van de Ven a new long-term contract that would place him among the club’s highest earners.

His current teammate Cristian Romero has reportedly played a key role in convincing him to stay, after the Argentine’s own decision to reject interest from top clubs in the summer.

Talks over a new deal are expected to accelerate in the coming weeks, with Spurs keen to secure his future before rival clubs firm up their interest.

Report: Tottenham to battle Crystal Palace for €50m-rated German powerhouse - CaughtOffside
Description

Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace are both interested in signing Inter Milan centre-back Yann Bisseck, who will cost €50 million.

Yann Bisseck could end up parting ways with Inter Milan in the upcoming transfer window. While he was a constant feature in their XI last season, a lot has changed this time around. The German defender hasn’t been at his best, and reports suggest the Italian giants could cash in on him to balance their books and reinforce other positions on the pitch.

Tottenham and Crystal Palace are two Premier League clubs that have been linked with the 24-year-old. Both clubs seek more quality at the back and are willing to bet on him despite his recent struggles. Meanwhile, a report from Fichajes suggests Inter want around €50 million to sanction the departure of Bisseck.

Inter Milan could cash in on Yann Bisseck

The German international joined Inter Milan in the summer of 2023 from Danish side AGF in a deal worth around €7 million. While he only had limited opportunities in his debut campaign, Bisseck was one of their standout performers last season.

However, he has failed to replicate that form and has found himself on the bench on the majority of occasions. While his contract runs until the summer of 2029, Inter are considering cashing in on him amidst interest from the likes of Tottenham and Crystal Palace.

Premier League clubs are ready to battle for Bisseck

Thomas Frank is looking to further strengthen his defensive options by signing the 1.96-metre-tall defender. Meanwhile, the Eagles see him as an ideal long-term replacement for Marc Guehi, whose contract is running out.

While Crystal Palace are ready to push hard for his signature, Spurs are considered to be the most serious suitors at this stage. Inter’s initial demand is around €50 million, but if reports are to be believed, they might accept offers north of €35 million.

Tottenham star set to be rewarded with a new contract after incredible start under Thomas Frank - CaughtOffside
Description

Tottenham are set to reward defender Micky van de Ven with a new contract following his outstanding performances of late.

That is according to the latest from Matt Law of The Telegraph, who claims that Spurs see Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven as the best centre-back pairing in the Premier League.

Tottenham made Romero their highest-paid player in the summer and now want to offer the Dutch defender a new contract as well as a significant pay rise to reflect his importance to the team.

Micky van de Ven has been outstanding for Tottenham

Since his £34m move from Wolfsburg in 2023, van de Ven has established himself as one of the best defenders in the Premier League.

He very quicky formed a formidable partnership with Cristian Romero and became the heart of Tottenham’s defence.

And under Thomas Frank his performances have elevated to another level, not only defensively but also offensively.

He is currently Tottenham’s top goal scorer with six goals across all competitions, proving to be a massive goal threat on the other end of the pitch.

The most recent goal came in the Champions League against Copenhagen, a world-class solo goal after running the entire length of the pitch.

Defensively, Micky van de Ven has been a steady presence at the back for Tottenham this season, playing a key role in their renewed defensive solidity under Thomas Frank.

The Dutch centre-back has helped Spurs keep three clean sheets in the Premier League, averaging 1.1 tackles and 1.0 interception per game, numbers that highlight his composure and timing in defensive duels.

Stat Per Game / Total Clean Sheets 3 Interceptions 1.0 Tackles per Game 1.1 Possession Won (Final Third) 0.0 Balls Recovered per Game 3.6 Dribbled Past per Game 0.2 Clearances per Game 3.4 Blocked Shots per Game 0.3

He recovers the ball around 3.6 times per match and is rarely beaten, being dribbled past just 0.2 times per game.

With 3.4 clearances and 0.3 blocked shots per outing, Van de Ven continues to show his alertness and positioning, clearing danger efficiently and keeping opponents at bay.

While he doesn’t win possession often in the final third, his main strength lies in anticipation and recovery, ensuring Tottenham maintain control in deeper areas.

Tottenham slap €100m price tag on Van de Ven amid interest from Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid

His outstanding performances have attracted interest from several top clubs including Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

A recent reported has stated that Spurs have put a hefty €100m price tag on their prized asset, to fend off any interest from Europe’s top clubs.

It is reported that Spurs see him as a strategic asset and will not let him leave for cheap.
