Tottenham willing to make a significant investment for 25-year-old Premier League star - CaughtOffside
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo, and they are willing to make a significant investment to get the deal done.

According to a report from Fichajes, Tottenham are impressed with the performances of the 25-year-old Ghana international, and they are ready to pay €60 million in order to get the deal done. The player has 16 goal contributions this season and the opportunity to play for a big club will be quite exciting for him.

There have been rumours that the player could cost around £70 million.

It could be the ideal step for him at this stage of his career. He has proven himself in the Premier League, and he will want to compete for a club capable of fighting for trophies. He has been linked with Manchester United as well.

Even though Tottenham have had a disappointing season this year and they are 15th in the league table, they are capable of fighting for domestic trophies. They are still in the semifinals of the UEFA Europa League, and they could secure Champions League qualification if they manage to win the tournament.

Can Tottenham negotiate a deal for Antoine Semenyo?

It will be interesting to see if the Cherries are prepared to sell the player in the summer. Tottenham have dealt with them when they signed Dominic Solanke last summer, and they will be hoping to get a deal done for the 25-year-old as well.

Semenyo is entering the peak years of his career, and he will want to play at the highest level possible. It remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.

The report claims that Semenyo fits the profile of the player, the Tottenham coaching staff are looking for. The attacker is open to moving this summer as well. It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can negotiate a deal now.

Report: Tottenham consider triggering release clause of Premier League manager - CaughtOffside
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering triggering the release clause of Brentford manager Thomas Frank as they assess potential replacements for current manager Ange Postecoglou, according to Football Insider.

The Danish manager has garnered attention for his impressive work with Brentford, making him a strong candidate for Spurs’ managerial position.

Postecoglou’s tenure at Tottenham has come under scrutiny due to a series of disappointing results.

Despite leading the team to the Europa League semi-finals, their Premier League performance has been underwhelming, with the club languishing in the bottom half of the table.

This has prompted the Spurs’ hierarchy to explore other managerial options.

The North London club have been unlucky with injuries this season but even with the resources available at the club, Postecoglou has failed to make an impact in the Premier League this season.

His tactics have often been criticised for being way too attacking with little focus on the defensive part of the game.

Frank, who has been at the helm of Brentford since 2018, has earned plaudits for guiding the club to the Premier League and establishing them as a competitive side.

His ability to maximize resources and implement an effective playing style has not gone unnoticed.

Thomas Frank to Tottenham?

Reports suggest that his contract includes a release clause in the region of £9 million, which Tottenham are contemplating activating.

In addition to Frank, other names have been linked with the Tottenham job, including Fulham’s Marco Silva and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola.

It is bad news for Postecoglou but he would be hoping to change the mind of the club hierarchy by guiding Spurs to a Europa League win this season.

Changes are expected at Spurs next season in terms of personnel as well as the North London club make Eberechi Eze their new number one target.

Tottenham confident of signing Hugo Larsson this summer - CaughtOffside
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are optimistic about acquiring the services of Eintracht Frankfurt sensation Hugo Larsson.

If Ange Postecoglou manages to survive at the North London club, he will certainly look at the summer transfer window as an opportunity to reinforce his squad and get things back on track.

According to a report from GiveMeSport, Spurs could go after the signature of long-term target Hugo Larsson. They are confident that they can convince the Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder to make the move to the Premier League this summer.

He has been linked with Liverpool and Manchester City as well.

Spurs are going through one of their most difficult seasons in their recent past. They are 15th in the English top flight, and Postecoglou’s future at the club is uncertain. Since he has helped them progress to the semi-finals of the Europa League, there is hope that he could remain at the helm.

Reinforcing the midfield will be amongst his top priorities, and Larsson will be quite high on their wishlist. The North London club have been scouting him for almost a year, and they closely saw him in action during their quarter-final tie against Eintracht Frankfurt.

The 20-year-old could be an ideal fit for their project, which has focused on signing young players with massive potential. The Swedish international could have an instant impact on their team. He has been described as a player with ‘exceptional ball control ‘.

Hugo Larsson open to the move

Larsson is aware of Tottenham’s interest in his services and is considering making a move to the Premier League. The North London club are confident they can convince him to join if they choose to step up their interest, with the player keen to test himself in the English top flight.

While Spurs are optimistic and Larsson is also open to a move, a potential transfer won’t be that straightforward. The 20-year-old still has four years left on his £32,000-per-week deal at the German club. Eintracht Frankfurt will certainly have the upper hand in negotiations, and they are not willing to entertain offers below £52 million for their midfield sensation as he is a key part of Dino Toppmoller’s plans.

Tottenham are interested in signing him, but they are yet to make a final decision as they seek further clarification from Eintracht Frankfurt on the minimum fee required for the Swedish international.

Chelsea keeping watch on Spurs striker ahead of potential summer move

Report: Chelsea considering summer move for Tottenham striker - CaughtOffside
Description

Chelsea are reportedly keeping a close watch on Mathys Tel’s situation at Tottenham Hotspur, with the Blues poised to reignite their interest in the French forward should Spurs opt against making his loan move permanent.

Tel joined Tottenham on loan from Bayern Munich in February, with the North London club negotiating a £50 million option-to-buy clause as part of the short-term deal.

Since arriving in North London, the 19-year-old forward has shown flashes of quality, netting two goals in nine appearances across all competitions.

However, his long-term future at Spurs is uncertain, particularly with ongoing speculation surrounding the club’s managerial situation.

A potential managerial change this summer could impact Spurs’ transfer priorities, putting Tel’s future at the club in doubt despite his promising displays.

Chelsea keeping a close eye on Mathys Tel’s situation at Tottenham

Chelsea had already expressed interest in Tel during the January transfer window, initiating contact with Bayern Munich as they searched for attacking reinforcements. While a move failed to materialise, their interest has remained strong.

According to GiveMeSport, the club have refused to rule out a move for Tel in the summer if Spurs opt against signing him, as they keep a close eye on the player’s situation at the North London club.

Enzo Maresca has a wealth of attacking options at his disposal, but the club is still expected to revamp their attack this summer.

With several loan players returning and potential outgoings likely, there’s room for additions, especially those who offer long-term upside.

Tel certainly fits that profile. After joining Bayern from Rennes in 2022, he quickly made headlines as the club’s and Bundesliga’s youngest-ever scorer.

With a lack of regular minutes under Vincent Kompany this season making just two Bundesliga starts, he departed for North London in search of regular playing time.

The French forward is praised for his explosive pace, tight control, and clinical finishing—traits that would complement Chelsea’s high-intensity style.

With under contract at Bayern until 2029, any transfer would involve significant negotiations. However, if Tottenham decide not to trigger their option, Chelsea may be first in line to try and bring Tel to Stamford Bridge.

Tottenham told how much they will have to pay to sign Adam Wharton

Tottenham told how much they will have to pay to sign Adam Wharton - CaughtOffside
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly among several clubs keeping a close eye on Crystal Palace sensation Adam Wharton, with the North London side preparing for a crucial summer of change.

With Ange Postecoglou’s future at the club hanging in the balance following a turbulent season both on and off the pitch, Spurs are bracing for possible sweeping changes in both managerial and playing staff.

Several managers have been linked with the hot seat amid Postecoglou’s uncertain status, including Andoni Iraola, Marco Silva, Thomas Frank, and most recently Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner. Reports claim that Spurs have already made contact with Glasner’s camp regarding a potential summer move.

On the transfer front, Palace midfielder Adam Wharton is linked with a move to Tottenham.

The 21-year-old has been one of the breakout stars of the season after joining Palace from Blackburn Rovers for £18 million in February 2024. Under Glasner, he’s become a key figure at the heart of Palace’s midfield.

With Rodrigo Bentancur linked with a move to Atletico Madrid and Yves Bissouma likely to be offloaded, Spurs are in the market for a young defensive midfielder—and Wharton fits the profile perfectly.

Tottenham have enjoyed success in recent windows by investing in youthful talent, with Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall shining as two of the club’s standout players this season. Wharton could be the next exciting addition to that core.

Palace demand club-record fee for Adam Wharton

However, prising Wharton away from Selhurst Park will not be easy. According to GiveMeSport, Crystal Palace will demand a record-breaking fee of around £100 million for their star midfielder.

That figure could become a major stumbling block for Spurs, who are unlikely to meet such a valuation despite their continued scouting of the player.

Wharton’s form has not gone unnoticed by other elite clubs either, with Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool all reportedly interested.

Most of those clubs would have no issue matching Palace’s asking price, putting Tottenham at a financial disadvantage.

Glasner appointment could be key in Tottenham pursuit of Wharton

One glimmer of hope for Spurs could lie in the potential appointment of Oliver Glasner. If the Palace boss makes the move to North London, his existing relationship with Wharton may provide Tottenham with a slight edge in negotiations—though the towering price tag will still remain a massive hurdle.

As the summer approaches, Wharton looks set to be one of the most sought-after midfielders in Europe. Whether Spurs can muscle their way into the race—or afford to—is a question that remains unanswered.

Tottenham star admired by Lionel Messi in talks with manager to leave the club

Tottenham star admired by Lionel Messi in talks with manager to leave the club - CaughtOffside
Description

Struggles could increase for Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham as one of their players is being linked with a move away from the club.

Spurs are currently sitting in the bottom half of the table with the North London side closer to the relegation zone than they are to the top six of the Premier League.

It seems Cristian Romero might be on his way out of the club after this season.

The Argentine defender has had a rough season, dealing with injuries that kept him off the pitch for a good chunk of the campaign.

Now, with two years left on his contract, the timing might be right for both Romero and Spurs to part ways.

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri has reported that the player recently held talks with Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone and the defender is keen on leaving the club to join the La Liga giants.

John Wenham spoke to Tottenham News about the potential transfer of the defender.

“I couldn’t think of a club that Romero would be better suited to,” Wenham said.

“From Spurs’ point of view, I think it is time for a clean break. For whatever reason, Romero’s time at Tottenham hasn’t quite worked out as people would have wanted it to, for multiple reasons.

“Although he is one of our few world-class players, I think this summer is the right time to move on from him. However, the issue is always going to be that Tottenham paid £40million for Romero. Saying that, Atletico Madrid do have the money, as we saw when they signed Julián Alvarez.

“This will need to be a decent deal for Tottenham. However, I do expect Romero to leave permanently.”

Cristian Romero to leave Tottenham?

However, Spurs chairman, Daniel Levy, is not likely to let Romero go on the cheap.

The club reportedly values him at around £75 million. Given Atletico’s financial strength, especially after their signing of Julián Alvarez, they might just be willing to meet that price.

For Romero, joining a club like Atletico, known for its solid defense under Simeone, could reignite his career.

His loss would be huge for the North London club but they would have to look for alternatives in the market to replace him.

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Sporting defender Ousmane Diomande to replace Romero.

Lionel Messi has called Romero the ‘best defender in the world’.

Report: Tottenham eyeing summer move for 55-goal Premier League attacker - CaughtOffside
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly plotting a surprise summer move for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke, a player who began his youth career in Spurs’ academy.

According to Football Insider, the North London side are monitoring the 23-year-old’s situation at Stamford Bridge and could make a move should an opportunity arise.

The 23-year-old joined Chelsea from PSV in January 2023, but has not quite been able to establish himself a regular first-team player.

In his debut season, he made 12 appearances in the league, scoring just 1 goal. In his first full season with the Blues, he featured a total of 23 times in the league, but started just 13 of those games, scoring 5 and assisting 2.

This season, he has been a regular starter under Enzo Maresca, starting 20 out of the 25 games he has featured in, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists, taking his overall career tally to an impressive 55 goals and 33 assists in 201 games across all levels and competitions.

However, Spurs are set to face stiff competition for his transfer, with several clubs from within England and across Europe interested in signing him.

Tottenham will face stiff competition for Noni Madueke

Tottenham are not alone in their pursuit. AC Milan, Newcastle United, and Aston Villa are also reportedly interested in the England international, who remains highly rated for his explosiveness, technical ability, and goal threat from wide areas.

Spurs will be looking to bolster their attack in the upcoming transfer window. Richarlison is expected to leave the club this summer alongside Timo Werner. Heung-min Son’s long-term future at the club also remains uncertain after a dip in form this campaign.

Bringing in a dynamic winger like Madueke—who still has his best years ahead—could provide Ange Postecoglou with a valuable option in wide areas as he looks to add pace, creativity, and end product to his forward line.

Description

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are looking to improve their attacking unit in the summer, and they have identified Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth as a target.

According to Fichajes, the two clubs are willing to pay €50 million in order to sign the player.

The report further claims that the two clubs are prepared to fight to the bitter end with each other in order to sign the Ghanaian attacker. Semenyo is capable of operating anywhere across the front three, and he has established himself as a reliable performer in the Premier League.

He has certainly shown his quality with Bournemouth, and he is capable of playing for bigger clubs as well.

Antoine Semenyo could be keen on a big move

The 25-year-old will feel that this is the right time for him to move on and join a big club, and the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham will be attractive destinations for him. They could provide him with the platform to compete in Europe in the coming seasons and fight for trophies.

The attacker has 9 goals and 6 assists to his name this season and his numbers are likely to improve when he is playing in a better team alongside quality players. The opportunity to play for Manchester United and Tottenham will be hard to turn down for the player and it remains to be seen whether he decides to force an exit.

The Cherries will not want to lose a key player like him easily, but the €50 million offer is a substantial one as well. It remains to be seen where the player ends up.

Tottenham urged to replace Ange Postecoglou with manager who is 'more of a Levy character'; he is ready to quit current job for Spurs

Tottenham urged to replace Ange Postecoglou with manager who is ‘more of a Levy character’; he is ready to quit current job for Spurs - CaughtOffside
Description

Tottenham Hotspur find themselves at a pivotal crossroads, with increasing doubts over Ange Postecoglou’s future at the helm.

Following a recent 1-0 defeat to Chelsea that saw Spurs slide to 16th in the Premier League table, pressure is mounting on the club to consider alternative managerial options ahead of the summer.

One name gaining serious traction behind the scenes is Fulham’s Marco Silva, with some reports suggesting that the club has already held internal talks regarding appointing him. Currently guiding his side to a respectable 10th-place position and fighting for European places, Silva has built a reputation for stability and tactical discipline.

Tottenham told Marco Silva will be an ideal fit for the job

Keith Wyness, the former Everton CEO, recently weighed in on the matter, pointing out that Silva’s track record fits the profile of what Spurs may be looking for.

Wyness highlighted the Portuguese manager’s success with mid-table clubs, his familiarity with the Premier League landscape and London—all factors that could put him ahead of other candidates.

Speaking on the Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, the pundit said:

“Silva is probably more in the running than Iraola.

“I think he’s more of a Levy character, he’s got the London experience – performing well with Fulham.

“He’s been with Everton, Watford – he’s got the runs on the board.

“I think he would operate at Spurs quite well. He’s done well on a tight budget with Fulham, and that’s what Levy will be looking for.

“We’ve seen the numbers at Tottenham, they’re not spending much on wages or fees – it’s very low.”

Fulham, once seen as a club constantly bouncing between divisions, are now competing with genuine European aspirations under Silva’s leadership.

His ability to deliver results without relying on heavy spending has reportedly piqued the interest of Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy. It has also been reported that Silva will be open to leaving Fulham for the Tottenham job if offered.

The 47-year-old’s coaching journey has spanned multiple leagues, from guiding Estoril to Portugal’s top division and winning a cup with Sporting CP, to achieving league success at Olympiacos.

He also gained valuable experience in English football with Hull City, Watford, and Everton, before transforming Fulham into a competitive Premier League side.

Although he remains contracted to Fulham until 2026, a firm approach from Tottenham could test the waters. With Spurs in clear need of a strategic reset, Marco Silva’s balanced, proven approach may offer the structure and vision needed to return the club to long-term stability.

£68m playmaker keen to join Tottenham this summer - CaughtOffside
Description

Tottenham should be busy this summer as they aim to bounce back from a disastrous season, and many important signings will be sought. One player he could arrive at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium during the transfer window is Eberechi Eze, who has long attracted interest from North London.

Eze has had another productive season for Crystal Palace, but it could end up being his final campaign at the club. He has been strongly linked with many clubs in the Premier League, and at this stage, Man United and Tottenham are said to be joint-favourites to secure his signature in the summer.

Crystal Palace value Eze as one of their most important players, and their desire is to remain his services for many years to come. However, that desire many not be enough to keep him for another season.

Eberechi Eze willing to join Tottenham this summer

Eze has a £68m release clause that could be triggered this summer, and were Tottenham to do so, former scout Mick Brown has told Football Insider that the 26-year-old playmaker would be willing to make the move across London.

“Tottenham have been interested for a long time and he’s their type of player. If Eze has the opportunity to move to a team like Tottenham, I think he would be open to that, and it’s not slight on Palace and what they’ve done. So that move wouldn’t surprise me, but it will only be on Palace’s terms and they want to keep him.”

It’s reported that Eze is happy at Crystal Palace, and were Tottenham to come calling in the summer, he would not force through a move. That makes it more difficult for Daniel Levy and co, but there is still a window of opportunity with the release clause.
