Spurs have a history of working with leading sports representatives CAA Base, and after another one of their players recently decided to join the agency, the Londoners’ relationship could get even stronger.

CAA Base already look after several key figures at Spurs including Son Heung-min and James Maddison, as well as manager Ange Postecoglou.

And the agency have recently welcomed another key figure to their ever-growing list of clients.

Richarlison latest Spurs star to join CAA Base

Wide-attacker Richarlison has been unveiled as CAA Base’s newest acquisition after a post appeared on social media showing the Brazilian signing a contract.

The South American’s recent decision to change agencies could be a sign he is planning his future.

The 27-year-old was strongly linked with leaving Spurs during the summer with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia mooted as one possible destination.

The Spurs winger, who earns £90,000-per week, shut down rumours he would be joining the Pro League by posting a photo of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on his Instragram with the caption: “I am home.”

However, with Richarlison’s playing time reduced following the arrival of Wilson Odobert from Burnley in the summer, fans will still be wondering if the Brazilian features in Postecoglou’s long-term plans.

Angel Gomes: Spurs well placed to sign midfielder on free transfer

Spurs enjoyed a busy summer transfer window.

Ange Postecoglou brought in five senior players, including £65 million man Dominic Solanke. There were also transfers for Leeds United academy starlet Archie Gray and talented Swedish playmaker Lucas Bergvall.

The start of the season hasn’t quite gone to plan for the Lilywhites though. Even though they thrashed Sean Dyche’s Everton 4-0, an opening day 1-1 draw against Leicester and a 2-1 defeat against Newcastle last weekend have dampened the mood.

Spurs considering signing Angel Gomes in 2025

And while Postecoglou is under no threat of losing his job early into the season, the Aussie will need to turn things around, and according to recent reports, could use next year’s transfer window to reinforce Spurs’ squad even further.

According to HITC, the Londoners have been tracking Lille midfielder and former Manchester United academy player Angel Gomes.

The 24-year-old, who has enjoyed an excellent three years in France, has recently earned his first senior England call-up.

Speaking recently about the Lille midfielder, interim England boss Lee Carsley said: “Angel is probably different to what we would have seen in the past (which) would have been a central midfielder that is more robust.

“Angel is very technical, controls the game with his skill and technique. Very determined, excellent attitude. Technically and tactically excellent, I think he’s a player that people are going to really be excited to see.”

Admired by Spurs and expected to leave Lille when his contract expires at the end of the season, the Lilywhites are eyeing a free transfer for one of Europe’s most under appreciated playmakers.

During his time in the Lille side, London-born Gomes has directly contributed to 26 goals in 118 games in all competitions.

Micky van de Ven is hopeful he will be fit enough to return in time for the North London Derby.

The Dutch defender was ruled out of Spurs’ Premier League clash against Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon.

Picking up a quad injury, the 23-year-old made way for Radu Dragusin, who partnered Cristian Romero for the Lilywhites’ 2-1 defeat at St. James’ Park.

Spurs handed Micky van de Ven injury boost

However, with Ange Postecoglou already downplaying how serious Van de Ven’s latest injury setback is, according to a recent report from BBC Sport, the no-nonsense Aussie is expecting to welcome the centre-back in time for this month’s North London Derby against bitter-rivals Arsenal.

Although he is set to miss the Netherlands’ upcoming Nations League fixtures against Bosnia and Germany, Van de Ven is ‘confident’ he will be available for selection for Spurs’ home match against Arsenal on the 15th of September.

Should Spurs’ number 37 be included in Postecoglou’s matchday plans later this month, the 23-year-old will likely replace Dragusin at the heart of his side’s defence.

Tottenham Hotspur will take on Newcastle United in the Premier League tomorrow and they will look to build on their impressive victory last time.

Spurs picked up a 4-0 win over Everton and they will look to continue at that level. They have a quality squad and the fans will certainly expect a strong performance from their players.

The Londoners will be desperate for Champions League qualification this season and they will look to do well in the domestic competitions as well. They need to beat these teams in order to do well this season. Newcastle have a formidable squad and this is likely to be a tough challenge for Tottenham. It will be interesting to see if they can step up and produce a strong performance away from home.

Previously Spurs have struggled away from home against Newcastle, and they cannot afford to be complacent here.

Newcastle to beat Tottenham?

Meanwhile, popular pundit and former Arsenal player Paul Merson has predicted Newcastle to win the game against Spurs. He believes that the North London club will struggle on their travels and they will come up short against the Magpies.

“Tottenham had a brilliant result when they beat Everton 4-0 last weekend. But I’m backing Newcastle to win this one,” Merson wrote in his column for Sportskeeda.

“This is a real test for Spurs, especially considering they’re playing away from home.

“In the past, I’ve seen Tottenham getting destroyed on the road in this particular fixture, so it’s a big test for them psychologically as well.”

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou will certainly demand a professional performance from his players and a defeat will be extremely disappointing for him. Spurs have the quality and experience to grind out all three points here and anything less than a victory will be underwhelming for the manager and the fans.

Tottenham Hotspur legend questions Chelsea’s shock signing

Tottenham Hotspur legend Michael Dawson has questioned Jadon Sancho’s surprise deadline-day move to Chelsea.

With the summer transfer window now sealed shut after Friday night’s deadline, fans will be focused on the immediate future of their clubs as they now must make do with the current layout of their squads.

Compared to transfer windows of the past few years, this summer has been extremely quiet with the big sides seemingly hesitant to pay out large transfer fees in order to secure their targets.

But unsurprisingly Chelsea still tops the charts for the most expenditure bringing in the likes of Pedro Neto and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall among others.

But the most surprising signing from manager Enzo Maresca came on the final day of the window when the Blues sealed the deal for Manchester United outcast Sancho to join the ranks on a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

The 24-year-old has looked a shadow of himself since making the initial move to Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund. He was forced to return to the German club after a fallout with Erik ten Hag last season.

Michael Dawson on surprise Chelsea deal

Speaking on Sky Sports, former Spurs defender Dawson questioned the move as a whole and claimed that Sancho will still struggle for minutes at Stamford Bridge.

‘Jadon Sancho is a good player, let’s not forget that’ he told Sky Sports.

‘But to go to Chelsea, why will it be any different there? Where’s he going to play? I honestly thought he needed to go somewhere where he was going to play.’

The English winger will replace Raheem Sterling who also made a surprise deadline day move of his own to London rivals Arsenal from Chelsea after he himself was outcast from the squad.

"Not going to happen" - Sky Sports man shares disappointing Tottenham transfer news ahead of deadline day

Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze will not be joining Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge.

Despite strong interest and speculation linking the talented midfielder with a move to North London, it appears that Eze will remain at Selhurst Park for the foreseeable future.

Eze, who has a £68 million release clause, has been a standout performer for Crystal Palace, especially following his impressive season in the Premier League last year.

The 26-year-old scored 11 goals and provided four assists in 27 league appearances, solidifying his reputation as one of the most exciting attacking midfielders in the division. His overall record for Palace is equally impressive, with 27 goals and 17 assists across 127 appearances in all competitions. (Transfermarkt)

His performances have not gone unnoticed at the international level, with Eze earning a spot in England’s final 26-man squad for the recent European Championship, further boosting his profile.

Michael Bridge on Tottenham’s chances of signing Eze

Despite Tottenham’s reported interest, Bridge has revealed that a move for Eze is not on the cards this summer.

Speaking on the situation, Bridge shared insights from his sources, indicating that a transfer is highly unlikely at this stage.

He told GiveMeSport:

“I mean, he was linked with Tottenham a lot, and my sources were telling me that’s not going to happen, much to the disappointment of Tottenham supporters.

“He’s still here with a day to go. Unless it’s something out of the blue, like nowhere, no one has heard anything on Eze. And I think if they lost Olise and Eze in the same summer, that would be quite a blow for Crystal Palace.”

This update will come as a significant disappointment for Spurs fans, who had been eager for the club to make a statement signing by bringing Eze to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

However, with Crystal Palace keen to retain their star player, the prospect of Eze joining Tottenham appears to be off the table for now.

Giovani Lo Celso keen on Tottenham exit

Giovani Lo Celso has been linked with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The 28-year-old has struggled for regular game time at North London London club since last season and he needs to move on in search of regular playing time.

According to a report from Estadio Deportivo, his time at the North London club is over and the player is disappointed with manager Ange Postecoglou’s unfulfilled promise. The Australian vowed to give him ample first-team action last season but he failed to deliver on that promise.

Lo Celso has not been a key player for Spurs this season either. It is evident that he is not a key part of their plans going forward. The player is disappointed with the situation at the London club and his time at Spurs is over.

Giovani Lo Celso wants to leave the Premier League

The South American has been linked with Aston Villa, but he wants to leave the Premier League for good. It remains to be seen where he ends up this summer. He needs to play regularly at this stage of his career and he has been linked with a return to Real Betis.

There is no doubt that he is a quality player who could improve most teams with his technical ability, passing and vision. He is versatile enough to slot into multiple roles as well.

Spurs will want to get his wages off their books as well and recoup some money from his departure. It remains to be seen whether they can offload him before tomorrow’s deadline.

Tottenham have had an eventful transfer window so far and they will look to finish on a high. Getting rid of their fringe players would be a wise move.

Former Tottenham hero describes leaving the club as one of his 'best decisions'

Harry Kane has labelled his move to Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur last summer as ‘one of the best decisions of his life’.

After rising through the ranks to become Tottenham’s all-time top goalscorer, netting 280 times in 435 appearances across all competitions, Kane finally departed the club in search of major trophies.

Unfortunately for Kane, Bayern suffered one of their worst seasons in recent memory upon his arrival, slumping to third in the Bundesliga and failing to win a trophy of any kind for the first time since 2011/12.

But on a personal level, Kane did not relent, helping himself to 44 goals and 12 assists in 45 appearances across all competitions. His 36 Bundesliga strikes were enough to earn him the European Golden Shoe award, finishing clear of the likes of Serhou Guirassy (28), Kylian Mbappe (27) and Erling Haaland (27).

Harry Kane: Joining Bayern one of my best decisions

Despite not yet adding a trophy to his considerable list of individual achievements, Kane has no regrets over his decision to swap Spurs for Bayern.

“It’s really special. Obviously it was a big step in my career to come to FC Bayern,” Kane said while accepting his Golden Shoe award (via talkSPORT).

“It was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. I’m enjoying every moment of it so far.”

Bayern have made a positive start to the new season, thrashing second-tier side SSV Ulm 4-0 in the DFB-Pokal before coming from behind to beat Wolfsburg 3-2 in the Bundesliga — Kane registering a goal in the former and two assists in the latter.

England’s record goalscorer is looking forward to the season ahead and is ‘excited’ by the ‘new energy’ building at Bayern under Vincent Kompany.

“I’m excited for this season especially, obviously we got off to a good start on Sunday,” Kane added. “There’s a new energy in the building, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can achieve this season.”

Up next for Bayern is a home tie against Freiburg on Sunday.

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou gives Yves Bissouma 'discipline' advice

Description

Ange Postecoglou has called upon Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma to become more ‘disciplined’ in order to reach his full potential.

Bissouma scored a thunderous opener in Tottenham’s 4-0 win over Everton on Saturday, finally opening his account in his 57th appearance for the club.

The former Brighton midfielder was impressive throughout his 73 minutes on the pitch, completing 92% of his passes — including 10 into the final third — while making two tackles, one clearance and one interception.

However, it hasn’t been easy at Spurs for Bissouma, who was sent off twice in 28 Premier League appearances last season while picking up a further eight yellow cards.

Spurs boss Postecoglou reacts to Bissouma performance vs Everton

Speaking to reporters after Saturday’s win over the Toffees, Postecoglou hailed the performance of Bissouma, but also urged the midfielder to continue adding more ‘discipline’ to his game.

“Yeah, Biss was good and we know Biss is a good footballer,” said Postecoglou (via Tottenham’s official website).

“It’s about him being the best version of himself and he will only get there if, as we’ve spoken a few times, discipline is a big thing for him and I thought it was a disciplined performance for him today you know.

“Not just the goal he scored, but he had a really important job for us. He knew they’d sort of play fairly direct and he had to be there to mop up second balls and intercept things and he was clean for the most part in possession. So, good performance.”
